Amazing hotel - would highly recommend staying here.
We stayed at serenity resort for 2 nights on arriving at Koh Chang from Bangkok. The location is so so idyllic and relaxing, absolutely beautiful. We also stayed on the west side of the island for a couple of nights and while it is quieter on the east side of the island (ie, there is no point in leaving the resort in the evening as there is nothing really to do on the east side after dark) this is exactly what we were after.
The staff could not be more helpful and accommodating. Food and drinks at the restaurant were great and reasonably priced. Very clean and comfortable accommodation. Lovely view.
As other reviews have said, if you are staying here you will likely want your own transport so you can explore. We rented a moped from the resort at a very reasonable price. If you want to rent a car make sure you have an intl driving permit (takes a few mins to obtain but must do whilst in the UK). There’s barely any traffic on this side of the island so the drive down to long beach at the south of the island felt very safe on a moped despite the hills (and would be the same in a car). The resort staff recommended us to do this and then get kayaks over to Koh ngam, which we did and was a great experience!
The other option is to rent a taxi for a day (we were quoted c2500 baht for 6 hours) and they can drop you wherever you like and wait for you.

UUsuario invitadoWe had a wonderful stay at The Aiyapura Koh Chang. From the moment we arrived, everything was well organized and welcoming. The king room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The resort itself is beautifully located in a peaceful area, perfect for a relaxing getaway.
The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and the special arrangements at the restaurant made our evening even more memorable. The view, atmosphere, and overall service were excellent.
The facilities are well maintained, and the quiet beachfront setting makes it ideal for couples looking to unwind and enjoy nature.
We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this resort to anyone visiting Koh Chang. 🌴✨

UUsuario invitadoThe hotel is old but in a very good condition. Service is very welcoming and with a incredibly high level of English language proficiency. Location is rather quiet (there’s a shuttle but you better set with your car or bike) but with a great beach. Good food at the dinner restaurant and plentiful breakfast.
Sand fleas is an issue. We’ve got some bites.

UUsuario invitadoI’m always as honest and informative as I can when leaving reviews, so here’s a proper rundown.
We arrived at the hotel in the afternoon. The sign at the entrance isn’t the easiest to spot as it’s quite old, but once you find it there’s a steep drive down to the car park which has plenty of parking available.
Golf carts are used to get around the hotel complex, which is very big and quite steep in most places.
We stayed in a Junior Family Room, which has a super king bed and a single bed in a slightly separate room area. When we first entered our room it was one of the rooms that hasn’t been renovated yet, and unfortunately it had quite a musky smell and the bed felt a little damp. Both hairdryers didn’t work and the electricity randomly went off.
We asked to change rooms and were moved next door to the same room type. This room was much better — far less smell and everything worked properly.
The air conditioning is excellent and gets very cold. The shower is great, with strong pressure and plenty of hot water. The bed is firm but comfortable, although the pillows were a bit too firm for me personally. Overall we had a good night’s sleep. The TV is quite small but that didn’t matter much.
On our first evening we went to the upper pool for sunset, which was absolutely stunning. The views are incredible and the pool area was very clean and quiet when we visited. We even saw a family of monkeys passing through which was a nice surprise.
The lower pool is larger and sits right on the beach, again with fantastic views and plenty of space.
Overall the hotel is good value for money. If you can get one of the renovated rooms it would probably make this the perfect place to stay.
Breakfast is also recommended — a good choice of food and the views in the morning are amazing.

UUsuario invitadoLa última vez que estuvimos en este hotel fue justo antes del inicio de las restricciones de Covid. Me alegró mucho que lo estén mejorando y reparando. Servicio al mismo alto nivel. La única sorpresa desagradable fue que no había canales rusos. Es decir, hay turistas de Rusia, pero no hay canales, aunque antes los había.

Realmente me gusta mucho Anna. La habitación de la piscina junto al río en la que me alojé esta vez fue muy agradable y cómoda. ¡La señora de la recepción dijo que fue increíble cuando vio nuestras fotos de hace 7 años! En la noche de Nochevieja, incluso hice una linterna de pescado en mi habitación. Los turistas extranjeros me miraron con envidia, finalmente salí del hotel y se la di a la señora de la recepción. Espero tener la oportunidad. para volver en el futuro.

AAmideeEste hotel está situado sobre el agua con sillas, que me encantaba. Su apariencia única, con todo su suelo natural de madera y cubiertas añade a su encanto y sentimiento de la comunidad pesquera. Es un lugar terrible para quedarse para algunos grandes Seafood tailandés!
Las habitaciones VIP son muy confortables, con una amplia ubicación y un lindo espacio exterior para relajarse a lo largo de la vista al agua.
El restaurante está acompañado de un restaurante, también sobre el agua en siltos, que sirve platos de mar frescos y fantásticos, mis comidas favoritas fueron la barracuda con salsa dulce y azuleja y el calamari. ¡Son comidas de buena tamaño y sus jugos frescos también son perfectos para el calor!
Aoys Farm Bakery y café también está muy cerca. Si va a la izquierda de la entrada a este hotel verá el signo de su café y la bakery. Aoy hace los pasteles más deliciosos que se suministran a muchos hoteles y empresas de la isla! ¡Es un buen paseo y es muy bueno para desayunos y jugos frescos o bebidas calientes, si no quieres comida marina en el resort, vaya ahí!
La piscina es hermosa, ya que el agua debajo del hotel no es limpia y no queríamos nadar en ella.

PPanwadeeDurante las vacaciones del Año Nuevo Chino, llevé a mi familia a Koh Chang para unas vacaciones. Como no teníamos planeadas excursiones en barco, optamos por relajarnos en el hotel. La tarde de nuestra llegada, como llegamos temprano y la habitación aún no estaba lista, el personal de recepción nos hizo el *check-in* rápidamente y luego esperamos a que nos entregaran la tarjeta de la habitación. Luego fuimos a descansar un rato al bar-restaurante de la playa. Al ser una zona de consumo, no nos encontramos con ningún empleado que obligara a los huéspedes a consumir, pero la mayoría de ellos pedían bebidas y comidas ligeras mientras disfrutaban de las vistas al mar. Como no habíamos almorzado, aprovechamos para pedir unos sándwiches, mientras esperábamos la llamada de recepción para avisarnos que ya podíamos ir a nuestra habitación. Durante ese tiempo, el personal del bar fue muy amable, sirviendo la comida y recogiendo los platos de cada huésped, y preguntando proactivamente si necesitaban algo más. En general, nuestra estancia de dos noches fue muy buena 👍, y la variedad del desayuno cada día era perfecta. Si volvemos a Koh Chang de vacaciones, sin duda priorizaremos alojarnos de nuevo en este hotel.
