«I had a pleasant stay at Hotel Sogo overall, and I would like to share my experience.
The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The room was tidy, the bed was comfortable, and the facilities worked properly throughout my stay. I also appreciated the staff, who were polite, accommodating, and always ready to assist whenever I had questions or needed help. Their professionalism made me feel welcome and added to the positive experience.
One thing I found a little difficult was locating the elevator. Since it is somewhat hidden, it took me a while to find it, especially as a first-time guest. It would be very helpful if the hotel could install more visible directional signs or provide clearer guidance upon check-in so guests can easily locate the elevator without confusion.
Aside from that minor concern, everything else was excellent. The hotel provided a comfortable and relaxing environment, and I was satisfied with the quality of service I received. The cleanliness, affordability, and convenience made my stay enjoyable.
Overall, I would rate my experience 8 out of 10. With a few improvements to the elevator signage, I believe the guest experience would be even better. Thank you to the entire Hotel Sogo team for your hospitality. I look forward to staying with you again in the future. Thankyou so much»

UUsuario anónimoRoom is cleaned every day. Toiletries and bottled water replenished daily. Bfast is satisfactory. Rooftop resto is a plus. Staff - very friendly and helpful.
There is no microwave to heat food.
You can’t bring pomelo to your room due to sanitary policies.
Lobby is under renovation but it’s ok.

UUsuario anónimoIdeal for families who just want to relax and stay in the heart of Davao City. Near major malls and beside the hotel is the ppark and durian museum. They booked us in the 3rd floor which is very accessible for kids to dive into the pool. Our breakfast was great, we encountered a minor incident but the kitchen manager handled it very well. We will definitely book again soon. The price deal was good also. Thank you, Apo View!

However, compared to the luxurious and grand vibe of the lobby and common areas, the guest rooms were way too outdated. During my 7-night stay, hot water didn't work for about 3 days. Plus, they didn't provide Wi-Fi in the rooms, which was incredibly inconvenient as an international traveler. Personally, it felt like the hotel cares way more about its outward appearance than the actual guest experience.

MMs. HayleyFrom the moment we arrived at Dusit Thani Residence Davao, we felt welcomed and well-taken care of. The lobby, though modest in size, exuded a calm charm and the check-in process was smooth. We were greeted warmly by staff who treated us with genuine hospitality — their attentiveness set the tone for our entire stay. Many previous guests also praised the staff’s politeness and readiness to help. 
We stayed in a studio apartment, and it was nothing short of comfortable. The room came with a kitchenette, a coffee/tea maker, minibar, and free WiFi — extremely convenient whether you’re staying briefly or planning a longer stay.  The modern fittings and thoughtful layout made it easy to relax or be productive: there was enough space to move around, and everything was clean and well-kept. Cleanliness, indeed, stood out during our stay — a point frequently echoed by other guests. 
One of the highlights was the leisure amenities. We took full advantage of the outdoor swimming pool — a serene little oasis perfect for a morning dip or evening unwind. The fitness centre, spa, and wellness offerings added to the sense of pampering. For those traveling with kids or family, there’s even a kids’ pool and a family-friendly vibe. 
Breakfast and dining at the hotel also deserve special mention. The buffet breakfast was generous and satisfying — a great way to start a busy day in Davao. For lunch or dinner, the on-site restaurant served a mix of Thai, Asian, international, and European dishes, giving a variety that could cater to different tastes and dietary preferences.  The presence of a café and even a pastry/deli option made it easy to grab a light meal or snack without leaving the property. 
Location is another strong suit for Dusit Thani Residence. It’s conveniently located near the airport, which is a big plus if you have early flights or late arrivals.  At the same time, it’s still close enough to city amenities, shopping, and other attractions — offering both convenience and comfort. Many guests appreciated this balance of accessibility and tranquility. 
That said, no stay is perfect, and a few aspects could be improved. Some guests mentioned that certain rooms felt a bit cramped or that balcony areas were under-utilized due to cleanliness concerns.  There were occasional gripes about maintenance — for example, shower drains draining slowly or small furniture quirks — and a few found the elevator access between towers a bit awkward, especially if coming from parking.  A minority even felt the place fell short of 5-star expectations in certain respects. 
Still, for us, these were minor blemishes compared to the overall positive experience. What stood out was how the hotel blends comfort, convenience, and courteous service with enough extras to feel like more than just a “place to sleep.” The pool, spa, and kitchen-equipped rooms make it a strong choice for families, couples, business travellers — essentially anyone who values a balance of luxury and practicality.
In conclusion: if you’re looking for a stay in Davao that offers more than just four walls — a place that feels both refined and welcoming — Dusit Thani Residence Davao delivers. Its attentive staff, well-appointed rooms, great amenities, and strategic location combine into a memorable experience. For those planning a trip to Davao, whether quick or extended, this hotel is a solid bet.

UUsuario invitadoWe chose this hotel primarily because of its location. From the guard who assist us in the parking, to the bellboy, the receptionist, the housekeeping, everyone is up to their toes.
Rooms, well just the right size for us.
Cleanliness, ok

Easy check in and check out.

YYkhca_TravelsWe arrived a bit late on our first night and were accommodated poorly. After a long day of travel, we encountered several issues with our room arrangements. I had booked two rooms, expecting them to be close to each other, but that was not the case. As a family travelling together, we requested to have our rooms swapped to be nearer, yet we were only allowed to add an extra bed. This was not ideal, especially since my mom couldn't stay alone in a room meant for 6 to 8 people, which I had already paid for.
When I spoke to the front desk, who I believe was the manager on duty at the time, her tone was unpleasing and lacked empathy for us as guests. It was a disappointing negotiation. We also discussed issues with the internet connection, and she seemed unyielding, suggesting that nothing could be done except to pay for a data plan, for which they would provide a modem.
Having stayed at many hotels and being a hotel manager, I can clearly say that our service was inadequate.

UUsuario invitadoThe location is very convenient for me going to the airport, only thing I am disappointed a little bit the shower isn't working 😁 I collected water in a bucket for shower and for brushing teeth 😅. The Electric Kettle won't work either 😔. I hope the staff will check it properly(room 18) . The rest I'm happy for the service. I invited my aunt and my cousin in my room just to get some stuff and they went after I'm glad staff are not so strict. This my my 2nd stay in that hotel next trip I'm still want to book and stay
