TTrip.com local guidesThis is honestly the best hotel in Myanmar. Travelled the world but honestly still the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in ever. It’s easily worth $500 a night. The housemaids are very detailed in what they do and everything is just so nice and in place. Just Perfect here.

Nestled in a quiet embassy district, the restored teak mansion, once the home of a British colonial governor, immediately impresses with its graceful architecture and tranquil gardens. Approaching through leafy pathways and lotus ponds, guests are welcomed into an oasis that feels far removed from the bustle of downtown Yangon.
Rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated, featuring polished teak floors, four-poster beds, and traditional Burmese textiles that reflect the building’s heritage. Balconies overlook either the lush gardens or the inviting fan-shaped swimming pool, creating a sense of calm retreat. The service is consistently warm, professional, and attentive without being intrusive, with staff eager to share local knowledge and assist with arrangements.
Dining is a highlight. The open-air restaurant offers refined Burmese and international dishes, prepared with fresh ingredients and presented with flair. Breakfast under the wide verandas, with tropical birdsong in the background, is especially memorable. UUsuario invitadoSuperb and gorgeous hotel near Sule pagoda, downtown area but the entrance is only one side and cannot enter this hotel from the riverside. It is hard to spot this hotel from some directions because there's no visible sign or hotel name except the entrance and Sule road side. The room is perfect comfort itself and spotless clean. The concierge and doormen and porters are professionally trained but other clerks still need training, as I don't want to see them idly chattering in groups in the presence of guests even in the lobby area. Hotel is not childpark or dance club for youngsters. Breakfast quality is wonderful and cooking staff members are excellent, but there was almost no explanation on how I can even order omelet or any food item which is NOT on the buffet table. And it was ridiculous to ask each time to receive sliced salami and cheese, why just can't I take them from buffet table? Overall the hotel itself is very good but some points are strange and not up to mark.

TTeacher MaddieMercure Hotel has always been a second to me and my partner. We’d stay here with friends and we even booked them during our wedding day. On our recent stay, it was so nice to be back with my baby and parents. Staff always welcomes us and serve us with smiles.
Another thing I like about this hotel is their continuous commitment to improvement, and live and care to Mother Earth. They started eliminating single-use plastics and now uses sustainable packagings and items.
I highly recommend Mercure Hitel!

They have a star team led by outstanding HODs, all driven by a desire to exceed expectations. Even when I faced an issue with one of their tenants (Dr. S Deluxe Aesthetics Clinic), the hotel team stepped in immediately— no excuses, only professionalism & results.
What the property may lack in architectural grandeur & lake views, they more than make up for through 5* hospitality.
Special thanks to FOM Nilar, Duty Manager Moe Tun, and F&B Manager Min Thu Mickey.
With such leadership, the best years of Novotel Max Yangon are still ahead of them.

IIsfp-Solo TravelerEverything was good👌👌👌😍💙…The only downside was that you might feel too lazy to go out or sightsee because the hotel room was very comfortable, and it was extremely hot outside😅 —- You could just stay in your room, enjoy the view, go for a swim, or have a spa day….
The breakfast buffet had a lot of options, and they even changed some of the dishes the next day. My favorite was the sauna—it was really good. I also loved the hot shower, as it didn’t turn cold even after being on for a long time😍
The massages were great, and the prices were reasonable…. The staff were very helpful and kind…. There were occasional power interruptions, but they only lasted a few seconds since the hotel’s backup power kicked in immediately…
+ Although it’s a bit far from the tourist spots, you can take a Grab—it’s affordable and the best option since it gets really hot during the day….

Staffs are so polite and friendly. Rooftop pool with the Shwe Dagon pagoda is wonderful especially at night.
