My family & I usually stay in T*ntr*m (been our no 1. option in Semarang, Yogyakarta, and Tangerang for a while), but considering NY traffic, decided hotel next to mall as safer option, and I think Marriott Yogya will be our no 1. option in Yogyakarta now.
PRE-STAY
Staying experience actually starts the second we finished the hotel reservation, maybe its long before we even arrive at the hotel. Most dont really optimize this.
What I will highlight is Marriott really put my requests (birthday decor in specific room, connecting rooms) into the system, where everyone can check. From the one handling the WhatsApp to the receptionist the day we arrive, Ilham. And they execute my request really well.
I've experienced some that forget my request and ended up decorating the wrong room, or not facilitating the request, even though they said they will facilitate.
*see pic 8 - 11. It doesnt have to be expensive, businesses have to calculate the cost and margin. Whats important, for me, is put some effort into it. Its part of making the stay memorable.
STAY
I love it when :
- the moment we arrive, the staff helps us by opening the car door, w/ the smile and greeting. Not from just one person, but every staff did the smile and greeting.
- Ilham texted that the other room is ready. Most just rely on guest will be the one to follow up, but not Marriott.
- we asked the way to mall entrance, the staff took us to the entrance, not just directing w/ hands.
- they put anti-slip mat in shower area (pic 6), such a functional addition for safety. Because aesthetic needs to meet w/ function.
- we went out at 8.30 in the morning for culinary & coffee around Yogyakarta and put the cleaning sign on, but forget to call, just to communicate that we want the room cleaned while we're out. 2,5 hours later when we're back, those 2 rooms are neat & tidy.
Some hotels dont notice the difference those make for guest(s).
These, for me, really help building the memorable staying exp.

UUsuario invitadoIncredible stay! We booked a night here after a disaster at a neighbouring hotel and our stay was one of the best in Indonesia. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed with astonishing hospitality from all the staff members but especially Reza who went above and beyond to ensure that we were welcome and comfortable in the hotel. The facilities are top quality, the room was very clean and extremely comfortable, and we slept very well. The gardens and hotel grounds are extremely well maintained, beautiful, and have lots of space for relaxation or, if you have kids, spaces to keep kids entertained. The hotel has ample options for food/drink and also entertainment and also offers tours of the local area. It was also my girlfriend's birthday and the staff again put in genuine effort to make it a really special day for her, we are extremely grateful for their efforts - 5 star service.
I can strongly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants an escape from the city and to be near mount merapi or who wants a bit of relaxation.

UUsuario anónimoRoom layout is good. It’s not that big, but they set the layout really good so it still feels spacious. No closet, only a limited open space to hang your clothes.
I stayed here for 2 nights, and unfortunately I got lots of troubles during this stay:
1. After checking in, I went to my room immediately, and turned out it’s a super messy room (another guest just checked out and they didn’t clean it up yet). So I had to go back to lobby and asked for another room.
2. In my new room, the AC got leaked and it dripped constantly as long as the AC was on. I had to put a bowl, container, or whatever it is. Already told the staff, he said he would follow up. Nothing they did until the day I checked out.
3. On my second day, I couldn’t even open the room door with my own room card. Guess they only set the card for one night only, so I had to go back to lobby again. They just reset without explaining why it happened.
Actually the staffs were very nice and friendly. Just all those troubles gave me impression that this hotel isn’t professional enough.
Breakfast was good. Not many options available, but good enough to fill your tummy. Location is great. Room is clean. Limited parking area but they had vallet service.

DDr. Ong SoetantoI really enjoyed staying at this hotel. The hospitality feels genuine and the staff are warm and attentive without being over the top. It’s the kind of place where you feel comfortable straight away.
Breakfast is pretty standard, but still good enough to start the day. The swimming pool is nice and well maintained and yes great if you want to relax a bit after meetings.
The hotel is located in a residential area, so it’s pleasant for a morning walk. If you’re heading to Malioboro, it’s about 20 minutes by GrabBike and around 30 minutes by car, depending on traffic. It’s also close to Plaza Ambarrukmo, which is convenient.
If you don’t feel like eating at the hotel restaurant, there are local spots just a short walk away like bakso and soto nearby are cheap and tasty.
Overall, a comfortable stay for business trips. I’d come back again if I have meetings in the area.

RRezaTrinHotel yang bagus. Dlu hotel ini namanya primepark deh. Utk bangunan ckup tua, tp masih dipelihara dgn baik. Parkiran luas, ada lapangan tenis dan pool yg luas jg. Utk kamar jg bagus dan luas serta terawat. Karpet. Hanya saja aga sedikit remang. Untuk sarapan banyak variasinya.
Utk staff very helpfull dan ramah2. Bner2 nyaman.
Ada peminjaman sepeda juga.

UUsuario anónimoNo es un hotel de 5 estrellas. Adecuado para clientes locales, no para extranjeros.
1. El registro es rápido: el personal es amable.
2. La higiene es pésima: se encontraron manchas de sangre y tinta en la ropa de cama y las almohadas. El personal de limpieza está bien capacitado para disimular la mancha. Dormí dos noches con la ropa de cama manchada de sangre. La toalla está sucia y no se puede usar.
3. Habitación: las cortinas no bloquean la luz del sol, lo que hace que te despiertes a las 6 de la mañana. La insonorización de la habitación necesita mejorar; la puerta del balcón está cerrada con llave, pero tiene una abertura, por lo que entra directamente el ruido de la calle.
4. Spa: el menú en la habitación incluye el precio de cada servicio. Pero la ridícula recepción del spa informó que el cargo mínimo era de 320.000 IDR, independientemente de la sección elegida.
5. La ubicación es buena, cerca de todo.

NNovak001La ubicación es excelente, ¡con vistas directas al volcán! Es un hotel resort clásico con un hermoso estilo vintage; ¡el atrio es impresionante! Las instalaciones son buenas y las habitaciones son espaciosas y cómodas. El aire acondicionado es muy fuerte y difícil de ajustar, y se enfrió un poco durante un chaparrón. El desayuno fue abundante; no toda la comida me gustó, pero había mucha variedad. El precio superó mis expectativas, pero las desventajas son insignificantes comparado con el bajo precio: ¡una experiencia magnífica!

La habitación es bastante limpia, pero hay algunas instalaciones que carecen un poco, como el baño no ha sido mejorado y hay muchas partes del edificio que pueden necesitar ser reparadas.
