Very clean and comfortable room, spacious and cozy. Reception service was friendly and warming, and the lobby is very pleasant to sit while waiting. This trip was mainly for a client meeting, and I spent 3 days and 2 nights here. The hotel facilities are excellent, and the staff are friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home. I’d like to highlight a few aspects of my stay: first, the warm reception and attentive service from the front desk staff made a great first impression; second, the room was spacious and well-lit, with soft bed linens and a cozy comforter that allowed me to rest well after a busy day; finally, the hotel is well-maintained, and the overall cleanliness was impressive. One point to mention is that the toilet is prone to clogging, and I hope this can be improved as it was somewhat inconvenient. Additionally, since there is a renovation project nearby, I was initially worried about potential noise disturbances. To my surprise, the hotel remained wonderfully quiet, creating a pleasant atmosphere, and they thoughtfully provided earplugs for guests, which I appreciated. Breakfast options were diverse, and I was delighted to find century eggs on the menu—such a pleasant surprise! Overall, my stay was very satisfying. The convenient location is perfect for business travelers. I look forward to returning to Atour Hotel and hope to see improvements regarding the toilet. Exceptional Service The 24-hour front desk service was always available to assist with any requests or inquiries, ensuring a smooth and comfortable stay. The staff were incredibly courteous and attentive, making sure all my needs were met promptly. Comfortable Accommodations The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-appointed with all the necessary amenities for a business traveler. The comfortable bed and quiet atmosphere ensured a restful night's sleep after a long day of meetings. Surroundings While the hotel is a bit of a distance from the nearest metro stations, the overall surroundings are pleasant and conducive to both work and relaxation. Stayed in this hotel for 2 nights at the end of December, I initially booked the cheapest room on the lowest floor but was upgraded to the danggui tatami room on the 2nd floor. The room was beautiful and extremely comfortable with the window facing the central courtyard which gets full daytime sun in winter. The initial room I booked would have had the window and outdoor area facing the courtyard as well as the restaurant which should be noted if privacy and quiet is a priority for you. Additionally, the price is much better during off peak periods, around 4 times the price i booked when booked during the new year period onwards Each room comes with a tea set which is quite fitting for appreciating Yixing culture and the seperate wet area for the shower and toilet was very comfortable. However, the soundproofing for the overall building is a bit bad as you can hear when people are climbing up the stairs or if the restaurant is full and people are celebrating/drinking. The breakfast on the first day was a platter of side dishes with rice porridge which was quite nice and filling, while the second day was a bowl of noodles. Both were quite delicious but I would've appreciated more local cuisine featured like bamboo shoots and black rice but maybe it was off season. Overall, I am very happy with my stay, the location is very convenient for a 1 day trip to the 3 main clay museums and old district!

I expected so much more from a place calling itself the GRAND Hotel. This was not even average (at best). Check in was not very friendly. The room had many issues, for example half of the lights did not work, so the room was very dark the entire time I was there. The Wifi was really spotty and was difficult to sign into. The bed was okay, had a so so sleep. To be honest I have stayed in far better places in Wuxi for a way cheaper price, but I was tired and did not want to complain or change rooms/hotels. I will say that I was very disappointed for the price. I only chose this place because of the tub and pool. The tub was ok and to be honest after seeing the state of the room I did not even bother with the pool. I figured if the room was not that great then they probably don't clean the pool well. They had ads for in room massage but it was not available that day (then why advertise all over). The Air Con was a joke, it did not cool well at all. The TV was ancient and I had to mess with the batteries to even turn it on. Check out was not that polite either. A couple positives, the bellboy helped me leave with my bags, and I can say that the girls at the morning breakfast were very polite and kind...but this is not their fault, the food was pretty horrendous. At least the coffee was decent and plentiful. Overall the rest of the staff made me feel like I was a big inconvenience while being there. My advice is to check reviews and get a WAY better hotel for elsewhere for far less money. I will not be back to this old, shoddy, dodgy hotel.
