I liked close to everything in this hotel, so I extended my stay for a second night. The location is really nice: the hotel is within walking distance to the nearby town and the touristic area although it requires crossing a main road. Staff was very welcoming and helped us find a driver to go to the more remote sites we wanted to visit (some tulous and rice terraces). The room was very clean, modern without superfluous, with a pretty view and it was very quiet at night. The horel breakfast was very good. In addition, there were a few restaurants in town. The one we picked was delicious and overall we enjoyed the welcoming atmosphere of this small town.

If you’re already familiar with ATOUR hotels, you don’t need to read this review, you already know how consistently fantastic their hotels are. This location is no exception. For those new to ATOUR: these hotels are known for excellent service at a fair price. Rooms are clean, amenities are well thought out and locations are typically convenient. Simply my favourite hotel chain in this price range and once again, they didn’t disappoint.

This place is a blast, I’ve been really worried before I booked and until the moment I arrived because of the reviews and everything, worriing it is a trap but when the moment I arrived I realized I’ve been too paranoid about it and the whole place is ¡Lavar ropa y secar con las funciones de notificación y también el wifi en la habitación era bien desayuno es agradable y sencillo! Su leche de soja es fresca y fresca cada día sin dulce que es super buena elección todo es tan limpio no va y cree las malas críticas como yo! 中文如下 We arrived in Songkou planning to explore the town, and since it was already getting late, we also began considering finding a place to stay for the night. The hotel’s location immediately stood out — perfectly situated between the parking lot and the waterfront square, making it incredibly convenient while still feeling connected to the heart of the town. The building itself is beautifully restored and carries deep historical character, as it once served as the old ticket station where the ferry used to dock. You can really feel the thoughtful care that went into transforming this heritage structure into a hotel — the preservation work is evident in every detail, blending history with comfort in a way that feels both respectful and welcoming. The staff on March 1st were exceptionally warm and attentive — both the gentleman and the lady were incredibly friendly and helpful, and they truly made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. They personally showed us the room and offered to help with our luggage, checked in on our food order, and even came by afterward to clear the plates. Their knowledge of the area was impressive, and they happily shared suggestions on what to see and do nearby. Meanwhile, fireworks were still going off in the distance, adding a festive atmosphere to the evening. The hotel itself continues to impress the more you explore it — a carefully restored historic space filled with thoughtful touches, including a lovely fruit platter in the room. There is also an interesting hall dedicated to Hakka culture that doubles as an event venue, and a stunning bar on the top floor overlooking the water, where we could watch people setting off fireworks across the river. In the morning, the view becomes something truly special — clouds drifting slowly to partially veil the mountains across the river, creating a peaceful, calming atmosphere that makes the whole place feel like a hidden gem. 我们来到嵩口是为了探索这座小镇，由于时间已经有些晚了，也开始考虑在当地找个地方住一晚。这家酒店的位置非常出色，正好位于停车场和临水广场之间，既方便又贴近小镇的核心区域。建筑本身修复得非常漂亮，充满历史韵味——这里曾经是旧时渡船停靠的售票站。可以明显感受到在将这座历史建筑改造成酒店的过程中投入了大量心思与细致的保护工作，每一个细节都展现出对历史的尊重，同时又兼顾了舒适与温馨。 3月1日当天的工作人员格外热情周到——无论是男员工还是女员工都非常友善、乐于助人，让人一到这里就有宾至如归的感觉。他们亲自带我们看房间，主动帮忙拿行李，还关心我们的餐食情况，并在用餐后帮忙收走餐具。他们对周边环境非常了解，也热心推荐值得体验的活动和景点。与此同时，远处仍不断有烟花绽放，为夜晚增添了节庆般的氛围。酒店本身越细看越令人惊喜——这座精心修复的历史空间处处充满用心设计，房间里还准备了精致的水果拼盘。馆内还有一个展示客家文化的特色大厅，同时也可作为活动场地使用，而顶楼则设有一间非常漂亮的酒吧，可以俯瞰水面，还能看到对岸有人在河边燃放烟花。到了清晨，景色更是令人难忘——河对岸的群山被缓缓流动的云雾半遮半掩，环境宁静舒缓，让人感觉这里仿佛是一处隐秘而放松的宝藏之地。

My first visit to Meizhou City, home of the Hakka people. Stayed in Days Hotel. Supposedly a 4 star hotel, this place offers great value for your stay. The room is large by comparison. The hotel has a laundry room on the second floor and all you have to do it to pop your laundry into the washer and leave a note with your room number and type of wash. An attendant will finish off the wash and dry cycle, fold your clothes and deliver them to you packed nicely in a laundry bag. Free! My travelling friend complained about the smell of smoke in his room. Hotel was apologetic and arranged a nicer (larger) room for him immediately. Manager on duty gave special attention to us and chatted with us whenever he saw us. Talk about personalised service. Location wise, I find Days to be rather close to all the sightseeing and food places I earmarked. As the city does not have a subway and the bus comes in rather long intervals, the location becomes more important. Fortunately, ride hailing is easy and cheap in Meizhou. I plan to return to Meizhou again in the future. Definitely staying in Days again.

Great hotel with a unique atmosphere. The hotel is very well located, making it easy to explore Meizhou. The room was clean, modern, and very comfortable. The lobby decoration is especially beautiful, with impressive carved stone pieces that give the place a distinctive and refined character. A very pleasant stay overall.

Best Experience staying in China. Its so welcome for foreigner. Im strongly suggest that you learn some basic chinese because you can operate the entire room using voice command. For example opening the window curtain or air conditioner, you just can command “xiao du xiao du” and there will be an AI assistance helping you (only in mandarin). The customer service is also great and very helpful, i can feel that they are so friendly and 前台 002 前台服务态度好 !! 住了两天之内协助了我很多，热情好客接待我们。 one simple thing to add on, if you aren’t used with going to toilet and using tissue to wipes. They provide you a bidet so you can clean using water. Meizhou is my hometown, will definitely come back to this hotel again for the next trip!

The hotel is conveniently situated at a junction where you can find food very easily. There is also a supermarket nearby so we could just stroll over to grab a yogurt drink after meal. The hotel room looked dated and it’s observable from the design and the bathroom, as well as the carpets. However, the room is reasonably clean and service was sincere, friendly and prompt. I sent some clothes for laundry and the staff took the effort to inform me that the clothes would be hand washed then dried under the sun so they should be ready by evening time later on. She also informed me of the pricing, then went on to ask if I was alright with that. I like it that they are very clear with charges and there is no hidden cost. Service was also very prompt. I asked for more water at the concierge when I came back from dinner and the room service staff was already waiting for me at my room door with the water by the time I got out of the lift. The beds were clean and comfortable too. My aunt and I rested well for the two nights we stayed there. The only negative was probably the air conditioner which was quite loud. But once we fell asleep, it didn’t bother us. There is also a very cute tea set in the room which guests could utilize if they wanted tea. It would have been better if they had given us four bottles of water instead of two. Then we would have been having our little tea appreciation session more regularly.
