Hotel Select

Given its price in this expensive part of the world, I wasn't sure what to expect. But two stars doesn't do this hotel justice. An elegant building on the edge of a square, it's clean and stylish - perfect for a Côte d'Azur break. Our room was a decent size, but had wonderful long windows that you could throw open to see and hear the sights and sounds of the morning market, (the sound-proofing is very good when the window is closed.) It's close to the train station for quick trips to Monaco (10 minutes) or Antibes. Beaulieu is a gorgeous town - our favourite on this ***** of beautiful coastline. Highly recommended. (Apparently if you book directly they throw in a free breakfast.)

For a 2 star hotel, this place is really good and affordable. Three of us stayed here for about a week, and our room had a view of the village square and the mountains. Very pretty. There is a market every morning in the square, so it might get a bit noisy in the wee hours when they start setting up. It wasn’t unbearable though. In the evening it was never noisy even with all the cafes around. The room itself was well-appointed with lots of shelves for the luggage. Also, there was a mini fridge which was very appreciated in the summer heat. Best part was that is a two-minute walk from the train station. You can walk to Cap Ferret and take a bus to Eze village. Staff super helpful.

We had a beautiful 8 day stay at the Hôtel Select. The location is superb, our room was clean and neat and had a wonderful view of the town square and the Corniche to the east. The hotel is in the heart of Beaulieu and walking distance to just about everything such as good restaurants, the marina, shops and the train station. As far as location, it doesn't get any better. We had a lovely third floor corner room which was just large enough for my wife and I. The room was spacious and quiet, filled with the warm colors of the Mediterranean sun during the day and cozy-comfortable at night. Each morning retook the staircase to the premiére etage for le petit dejeuner. 7.5 ero per person. Delicious and well worth the charge. We had our choice of hot beverages, café au lait, etc., juices, fruit, yogurt and pastries. All delicious. Staff was very friendly, warm and helpful. They encouraged us in our attempts to speak French. My wife is much better at it than I am. Beaulieu is such a beautiful and charming place we can't say enough about it and the people who reside there. Hotel Select is one block from the train station and just a little more to the bus stop. We used both modes of transportation. 1.5 ero for a bus trip to Nice, 3 on the train. Easy to take the trolley from the airport to the train stop and then to Beaulieu. Easy, easy and fun. Going east, the train is just a few stops away from Monte Carlo if one is interested in the glitz. We will definitely come back and stay at the Hotel when we are in the area again.

We loved this place so much. Our room was very comfortable, a decent bathroom, tea/coffee facilities and a decent sized fridge in the room. We didn't have breakfast but chose to go to the local patisserie. Our room over looked the town square, we opened our windows in the evening and sat and watched the world go by, it was absolutely delightful. We would highly recommend this hotel

We spent 15 nights at the Select and we enjoyed every moment. Management and staff were superb and so was our room, no. 34. Breakfast in the cosy dining area allowed us to chat with other guests and all were glowing in their reports. We were served a very nice breakfast, more generous than most French hotels. Walk out the front door and you are in the centre of the town. Bus stops and railway are within 2 minute walk. Perfect location. Hello to Joelle, Marie and Benjy.

Absolutely wonderful. The hotel is in the best place, tastefully decorated with love and attention to detail, impeccably clean with very friendly and welcoming staff, you immediately feel at home! The room was spacious, very comfortable and with a French balcony with a lovely view. The town is a dream place, now my favorite on the riviera. Everything feels so relaxed and like home, we will surely come again and stay longer! Loved everything so much!

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Select. The location is perfect - close to the train station and an easy walk to the beach. There is a daily market outside the hotel and lots of restaurants and shops in the area. The rooms are quite small, but clean and comfortable. The breakfast is lovely and we really appreciated the fresh fruit cups. Due to some travel delays we arrived later than planned and the hotel was very accommodating. I hope to stay here again!

I booked this hotel for 4 nights as a single traveller. I enjoy the character of the classic small French family hotels and this one is perfect. My room was very inexpensive ... good size too overlooking the square. Spotlessly clean, excellent shower etc. Breakfasts are classic French, help yourself, well priced. The patron and staff are lovely.. very helpful.. English speaking too. The location is perfect..the train station is about a 100 metres away and its a very short walk to both beaches.. Baie Formis and Plage d'Afrique. On 21st June there was a music festival in the square which made my stay even more special.
