UUsuario invitadoThe location is not close to the railway station, although it is not far from the city centre since York is quite small, so most attractions are still within walking distance.
Unfortunately, cleanliness was not satisfactory. When using the air conditioner, we could smell dust in the air. The carpet felt dusty, and the towels were not white enough and showed heavy signs of use. The table and cupboard in the room were also quite old-fashioned, and you can clearly feel their age rather than a modern hotel standard.
On the positive side, the service was very good. All staff were friendly, and the breakfast staff in particular were very kind and helpful.
However, I would not recommend choosing the breakfast-included option. It is overpriced and honestly the worst hotel breakfast I’ve tried in terms of taste. You can easily find much better and more cost-effective breakfast options just outside the hotel within very convenient walking distance.
Overall, friendly staff and decent location, but the cleanliness and room condition really need improvement, and the breakfast is not worth the money.

UUsuario invitadoPerfect location for a sightseeing trip to York, with car parking. The hotel was gorgeous, beautiful room (we had blenheim suite), huge copper bath in the bedroom (bring your own bubble bath!), super comfy bed, beautifully decorated room. Reception staff lovely and very knowledgeable of local area. Lovely bar too with friendly staff, a range of boardgames available which was fun. Breakfast room had a great Churchill theme ( brilliant top/bowler hat lighting). Would definitely recommend. Thank you for a really lovely stay.

UUsuario invitadoThe Galtres... A perfect place to stay in York. Location is great, central, surrounded by pubs, shops, bars, restaurant, a few steps from York Minster, couple of minutes walk to the Shambles, 13 minute walk from the train station.
Our room was spotless, checking in was easy, arrived 3 hours early, but room was ready so accessed that straight away. Little bit quirky, I guess no two rooms the same, old fireplace, massive mirrors and a Wimbledon wicker basket at decor.
Breakfast was amazing, gorgeous food, great selection and waiting staff always happy to help. Didn't eat there at other times, but the restaurant always looked busy inside and out.
Two minor faults, could have squoze a small dressing table/desk into the room, and be prepared for a small amount of noise in the morning with delivery vehicles around, not a big problem though.
I would definitely visit again, and recommend anyone visiting York to look at this place as somewhere really nice to stay.

UUsuario invitadoWe had an excellent stay at Mercure York Fairfield Hall. Without exception the staff were very pleasant and extremely helpful whilst at the same time understated. The breakfast represented excellent value with good choice and nicely prepared and presented. We had the opportunity to upgrade our room which we did, having the Honeymoon Suite as a consequence made our stay very pleasurable and comfortable. Accommodation is good but the decor in places a bit tired. Location wise it is excellent being a short distance from the Park and Ride which makes getting into York so easy and cheap.
Our only gripe is that there is nog a EV charge point in site though there are sondd ed at the nearby retail park.
All in all an excellent place to stay for a trip to York. We would be happy to return.

UUsuario anónimoRoom was good, loved that the leisure centre was open till late so could get time at the pool and jacuzzi even after sight seeing. Breakfast was great, nice continental selection, and a picturesque view from the restaurant. Staff were very friendly and attentive.
A potential improvement could be the hot water control in the shower - ours was a Deluxe room with bath. The temperature was either scalding hot or ice cold - there was no in-between.

UUsuario invitado由於酒店身處哥爾夫球場之中，四周環境十分清幽、寧靜、舒適，景色亦十分美。只是它距離市區較遙遠，距離約克舊城區，有接近30分鐘車程，若不是自駕遊，就不太適合選這裏作為住宿地點，但若有自駕車，這是非常不錯的選擇，因為泊車是免費的。
酒店之中有兩家餐廳食物不錯，但價格非常高，且份量不多，是典型的fine dining，若然大家不想花費太多在食方面，在進入酒店前，最好在城區先進餐。

UUsuario invitadoHotel is situated right opposite Clifton tower and is conveniently located within. The city centre - walking distance to the Shambles and other attractions. The parking situation is problematic - although aware it is first come first served, there is nowhere available to park up and ask except the three spaces in front of the hotel and if taken, you end up circling the road for an absolutely age before a space becomes available. If no parking on site end up parking over the road on public car park which is inconvenient as keep having to work out when to renew. The cleanliness is a slight issue, we thought there was dust on surfaces but more likely to be cloth fibres from the cleaners but still don't expect shedding like this. Room was fine but did think bathroom was on the smaller side for a double deluxe room. Service in general was good - couldn't really fault.

Recepción 24 horas, menú, etc. Los precios del desayuno necesitan una actualización, ya que son £8 y no £6. Desayuno ligero, con bollería, tostadas, cereales y café. El comedor es amplio y agradable. Hay muchas zonas comunes para sentarse y relajarse, y el bar es un lugar ideal para reunirse y charlar. Subir las escaleras fue un reto después de un largo día, pero las habitaciones son cómodas. Las cortinas alrededor de las camas ofrecen buena privacidad. La iglesia de la Trinidad, al otro lado de la calle, tiene mucha historia y merece la pena visitarla. El restaurante chino Regency es un lugar estupendo para comer a un corto paseo. Cerca de las murallas, la estación, la ciudad, los puentes, etc., ideal para hacer turismo. En una zona tranquila de la ciudad. Me encantó mi estancia. Me alojaría aquí de nuevo. Excelente relación calidad-precio.
