Mangroove Bay Boutique Hostel

We had an amazing stay at the hostel and loved the entire vibe! The wooden house was really cool with the outdoor bathroom, and the food and drinks at the restaurant were amazing as well :) the pool was pretty and the activities that were offered (for example kayak) were great.

Very recommended in the North of Bali. Spend 3 nights away from busy city life with bunch of activities such as, cinema room, tennis table, dart arrow, muay thai class, gym group class, sunset yoga or kayak to Gili Putih in Sumberkima. Very peaceful place with good vibes and friendly staff

We are staying here for 3 night and they have a very comfortable room! So many activities we can do here, yesterday we do kayaking to gili putih an new experience for me and my husband hahaha.. we love it so much mr komang arya as the guide is so well educated they gave us information about mangrove plan so well. We’ll def back here again and doing the other water activities here. What i love more about this hotel is they have metamorfosa foundation long story short its a foundation that operates in the marine sector to preserve the underwater world, planting corals, releasing baby turtle hatchlings, etc. If you are a thallasophile like me you should be here! You belong to be here and enjoying mangroove bay and doing some activities with metamorfosa!

Mangroove Bay Hostel stands out as a truly exceptional hostel experience - a one of a kind hidden gem, really. It has the ambiance and decor of an eco-luxe retreat, complete with a picturesque pool. While they also had shared dorms, I opted for a private room and had a comfrotable canopy bed and a huge ensuite bathroom with the luxury of two semi-open air showers. The hostel's restaurant became a highlight, with delicious dishes that drew me in for dinner three nights in the row. The banana blossom soup and nasi campur were particularly delightful, and a great way for me to sample indonesian cuisine. The attentive and friendly waitstaff even remembered my preferred table and juice order. Engaging in activities organized by the hostel and their NGO, Metamorfosa, was a memorable experience. I had the privilege of releasing endangered baby sea turtles and embarking on a kayaking adventure through the mangrove forest to the pristine shores of want sand beach Gili Putih. Through the reception, I also arranged a spa day at Sumberkima Hill Retreat, which offered a fantastic value package with a massage, body mask and wrap, and a stunning flower bath, along with a complimentary return shuttle. The hostel also provided ample opportunities for socializing, including darts, table tennis, beer pong, and a refreshing swimming pool. As a seasoned solo traveler well-versed in hostel stays worldwide as well as five-star hotels, Mangroove Bay Hostel left an unforgetable impression. Its unique blend of luxury and affordability, coupled with a focus on fostering connections with both people and nature, was truly inspiring and refreshing. Thank you for this amazing experience!

What to say about this piece of heaven… I booked 4 days, ended up staying for 8. For me was the best place I stayed in Bali. The rooms are very comfortable, the whole hotel is beautiful, the staff is young, kind, happy and very professional, the food is delicious, the area around is peaceful, quiet and also beautiful, everyone is super friendly, I felt like I was home. They have a partnership with Sumberkima Hill where we can go for yoga or spa, and also with Metamorfosa that provide a lot of activities like kayak, snorkeling and have a project to restore the corals in the near bay. I planted a baby coral to help the project and all guests are welcome to do so. They also help increase the turtle population and I was lucky enough to be there when dozens of turtles were born and was so happy to help release them into the ocean. In the end, I think the whole experience became very personal to me, maybe also because I was traveling alone. I knew the name of the staff, they called me by my name, we played ping pong and darts when it was less busy for them, I learned Indonesian words, had some good laughs. I left with the heart full of love and I think a piece of me is still there. I will make my best to go back 🩷

The ideal getaway to the most idyllic & wonderful place. After 3 nights here I feel fully recharged and super happy 😊 For starters the staff are so kind & helpful. The hostel feels more like a boutique resort, everything is new & clean. I stayed in the private room with the most comfortable bed ( I even asked them where they get their linen from because I want the same) The views from the bathroom are magical & the rooftop is a whole vibe!! ✨🌴🫶🏼 The restaurant I really loved because the food was fresh, it had a mix of western & indo. My favorite was the power bowl, smoothie bowl. Fish curry & matcha latte with coconut milk.. oh and the morning ritual 😝 Snorkeling & kayaking is a must, with metamorfosa you get to see the Incredible work they do to restore the coral there & the guide takes you to gili putih too! I can’t wait to come back!

This is definitely one of the best hostels on northwest Bali! Great vibes, super cozy rooms, an amazing restaurant with a wide variety of food. A cute pool to hangout in the afternoon with swing beds and lounges. They offer a great amount of activities such as kayaking to Gili Putih, one of the smallest islands around Bali! An unforgettable experience with breathtaking views of the volcanos on Java! We stayed in a private room with a double shower, the room was well maintained and very clean! Friendly staff and an overal amazing place to stay! There even is a ping pong table to play with some friends or people you meet at the hostel, and the best part is the movie room where tou can connect your laptop and stream all you favorite movied, TV shows or sport events! I definitely recommend staying here if you want an easygoing vacation with you loved one or even alone and meet great people in the hostel!

It was great pleasure to stay there for 2 nights. Quiet and peaceful place with a friendly staff and delicious food. You can find there lots of activities as snorkeling and hikes. The places are distant and were aesthetic. Highly recommended!

Simply perfect! A paradise on Earth! Jane, the marketing manager and our reference at the hotel was superfeiendly, kind and profesional!! We had very good conexion with her! Since the very beginning we feel like at home. Mangroove bay hostel is a really New on Sumberkima Bay, amazing place for relaxing a couple of days in Bali. Our room was GREAT! It had a king size beedroom superconfortable, the hughe bathroom was totally clean and spacious, with 2 showers. The decoration of the hotel was balinese style. I couldn't stop taking pictures of every corner! The swimming pool was great, we've been flying our drone, such amazing pictures we have! The restaurant offered delicious dinner, we tried the burguer and hummus, awesome! All the staff was superfeiendly, Specially Ari, Muna, and komang (our guide on kayaking tour to Gili Putih). The hotel is working in a magic project, Metamorfosa, NGO that plants baby coral and trees in order to reduce carboon footprint Thanks a lot for the hospitality! It was a short stay but intense :) we'll come back for sure!
