I was pleasantly surprised when offered an upgrade during the check-in. The surroundings of the place were tastefully decorated, creating an overall relaxing feel for the place. The owners were very hospitable. We had an enjoyable tea tasting session in the evening, where the generous and big hearted owners offered several varieties of tea, a few of which were quite well aged for more than 20 years.

This hotel is an absolute gem and a true haven of peace. Unfortunately, I was only able to stay for one day, but it is the kind of place where you immediately feel at home. Everything about it was wonderful. One small tip for travellers coming from Europe: remember to bring a plug adapter.

Location: it's walking distance to the entrance of Confucius Temple, it's a plus point. And it's at big intersections, so access-wise, the location is good. Cleanliness: great but could be improved as i still found the carpet and floor dusty Service: all receptionists were so helpful and friendly. they tried their best to communicate with non Mandarin speakers. Also, my deepest gratitude to MiaoMiao for her service. She even accompanied me to the restaurant next door to help me ordering some food. Such hospitality really moved me :”) Food: breakfast was great. didn't expect it to be varied but it was. from congee to salad, bread to rice, they got options. Tasted pretty good as well. They also gave a plate of fruits (tomatoes, bananas, orange) and were generous with bottled water

Qufu was one of our favourite places and so was this interesting hotel! Right opposite the city wall and near the gate for the changing of the guard and lightshow, and of course the famous Confucius temple and mansion. The hotel seems all dedicated to promote the ancient values and arts, the villas are exciting to explore and the furnishings are gorgeous, full of details, at the same time clearly designed to be high quality accommodation, and extremely spacious. Also the restaurant is a delight and breakfast a real treat. Our stay was a highlight in so many ways, not least thanks to the friendly and passionate staff, thanks a lot!

I chose this hotel for its amazing architecture and also because the interior design is by a Singaporean firm (yes, Singaporean pride! And yes, I’m the guest from Singapore). Qufu is a small town and the hometown of Confucius, and everyone has an endearing way of addressing each other as Teacher or Laoshi here, as 子曰：三人行必有我师 ie we can learn something from everyone. I dare say the JW Marriott is one of the best options in international hotels here aside from the Shang, but Marriott is more conveniently located to the Confucius Temple site and main tourist attractions. I love the 孔门豆腐 here; I had it twice during my short stay. There is a nice story behind the dish; let the server tell you about it. The one who served me was lovely. I asked her if I could record her introducing the dish; she was a little shy and said her Putonghua is not standard (yes, the local people talk with a thick Qufu accent, so if you are out of town, ask them to repeat to you slowly in Putonghua or use a translator), but she allowed me to record anyway. Charming place.

Este hotel está situado cerca del Templo de Confucio, en el casco antiguo, a poca distancia a pie de las atracciones turísticas. El edificio es una casa antigua, lo que le confiere un aire vintage. El servicio de recepción es cálido y atento, especialmente la empleada número 005, que es encantadora y ofrece un servicio excelente. Me ayudó con mi equipaje y hasta me lavó el trapo mientras limpiaba el coche; fue un detalle muy considerado y se lo agradezco mucho. Sin duda, me alojaré aquí de nuevo la próxima vez que visite Qufu.

The hotel is only 10 minutes away from the gate of Confucius temple on foot. The traditional style and the statue of Confucius makes you feel like you are really here to visit this great philosopher’s city. The staff are friendly and they provide whatever you ask for. They gave us a book, a crad and a bookmaker as a gift. The breakfast was nice. The room was clean but yet could be cleaner. All in all, it works for visiting this historical city.

Muy bien, buena ubicación, hay una tienda de desayunos en la planta baja y un mercado nocturno por la noche. El ambiente es muy agradable, la cama es amplia, ideal para familias, muy cerca del área escénica de Liangshan.

The location is awesome! Right next to Confucius Temple. The room was big and clean. The landlord offered a bottle of water, all necessary daily tools (such as toothbrush and etc), so service is similar to a hotel. The rooms are closed with electronic key and very quite. I recommend this place for solo and group travel. I don't know chinese, but it was not a problem, we managed to communicate with hand signs without problems )
