Central location, beautiful building from the outside, the lobby and common areas are very tastefully renovated, it smells very good, GRECOTEL has done a great job with ”THE DOLLI” and the renovation from the very first impression. However, the hotel seems to have overlooked the installation of soundproof windows, a major shortcoming in 2023/2024, especially considering the room rates. The single-glazed windows let in outside noise from nearby bars/restaurant (with annoying (live rock) music) and street cleaners (at 1:00 am) , severely impacting sleep quality. The initial welcome was exceptional, but the overall experience gradually declined. The Acropolis Suite boasted a stunning view, but was spoiled by an inconvenient layout, with the bed awkwardly positioned (in a corner between the wall and the window, so you had to crawl out) and lacking privacy without closed curtains (the guest/s of the suite next door could see directly into my bed.). The room's design was lacking with poorly placed electrical outlets and no desk to work on. A connecting door to a neighboring suite presented soundproofing issues, allowing noise to be easily heard. In addition, on the 4th floor, where the suite was located, the sound of chairs being moved in the restaurant above and the housekeeping activity in the hallway during the day was quite audible. After moving to another suite due to the bed layout (on Day 2), I found cleanliness to be an issue with several noticeable hair clusters on the floor - It seems the room wasn't even mopped beforehand, which is the only explanation I can think of. The suite facing the street suffered from significant noise disturbance due to inadequate sound proofing, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep. While breakfast and service were excellent, with friendly and attentive staff, these positives were overshadowed by problems with sleep and cleanliness in the second suite. Initially worth a 4 out of 5 rating, these drawbacks lead me in rating the hotel at 2 out of 5. Light sleepers are unlikely to enjoy a restful night here.

El Electra Palace Hotel, situado en el centro de Atenas, es absolutamente maravilloso. Todo lo que la ciudad tiene que ofrecer está a poca distancia a pie del hotel. La vista del Acropolis desde nuestra habitación es espectacular, no mencionar la vista a ”die-for” del restaurante de 8o piso - puedes ”tocar” el Acropolis desde aquí!😄 El desayuno en el Electra Palace es delicioso y delicioso. El personal, desde el concierto hasta los receptores, y el personal de restaurante, todos ofrecen servicios profesionales extremadamente altos. Voy a destacar a George, el receptor, que nos hizo sentir muy bien con uno de los mayores sonrisas y servicios profesionales que he experimentado. George tiene una palabra cada vez que interaccionamos con él, y fue ”Cada vez que sonríe, las cosas buenas siempre vienen a su camino”. Esta palabra pasó cuando George encontró mi nueva Samsung Oar Bud después de que lo perdí y el hotel comenzó un día entero de La habitación de la habitación es muy agradable. El Electra Palace Hotel es un hotel excelente y sin duda volveremos allí.

La ubicación geográfica no es muy buena. Cinco minutos a la Plaza Constitucional, 20 minutos a pie, a la calle de las mujeres, todos los restaurantes y supermercados. El servicio es muy bueno, la habitación está bien, la habitación familiar es dos habitaciones completamente independientes, y la zona pública de la puerta también está rodeada de conexión (adecuada para el equipaje), muy adecuada para los niños mayores o los mayores, sin interferir mutuamente. La única razón es que la energía de los turbopropulsores es demasiado baja y que el desayuno es básicamente inalterable.

Booked two rooms for a three day stay and both rooms were comfortable and quiet. The bathroom in my room was smaller than my daughters but for me it was fine. Small bath but I managed to use it. The staff are great and breakfast was a good start to the day ahead. Nice coffee. Our flight back to the uk was cancelled due to air traffic control going on strike and the hotel let us stay another night without any fuss even letting us stay in the same rooms. All in all I have no regrets booking this hotel and for the price it’s a great choice. Reception booked our taxi to the airport and it was a fixed price of 40 euros.

El hotel está situado en un centro de la ciudad, muy cerca del aeropuerto y a la salida del puerto de Piraeus, pero muy turístico y ruidoso para nuestro gusto. Al salir de la terraza de nuestra habitación nos saludaron los sonidos tranquilos de la calle abajo; sin embargo, esta noche se convierte en música de aburrimiento y gente bebida siguiendo, que pasó algunas noches a las 4:00. El hotel es un hotel de calidad muy alta, y no es un hotel de calidad muy alta. La habitación no tiene suficiente prueba de sonido para bloquear esto, y mientras se ofrecen los oídos, prácticamente no son útiles. Hablé con la recepción sobre el ruido y nos ofrecieron otra habitación que quizás no hubiera sido más tranquila (pero que debíamos decir adiós a nuestra terraza), sin embargo, en el momento que decidimos que los tomaría en su oferta la habitación había ido. (aunque no estoy seguro que hubiera hecho mucha diferencia en cualquier caso, ya que estaba en el piso). El hotel es bastante agradable, limpio, un desayuno decente, un personal amigable y buenas instalaciones en el cuarto, pero el ruido de la calle abajo nos ha enfurecido completamente esto para nosotros, por lo que no nos gustaría quedarse aquí. A menos que se pretenda ser parte de la multitud en los bares abajo.

Though most of this establishment are private rooms, I stayed in the 8-person dorm, so that is what I am reviewing. While this hostel was very clean and well serviced, it isn’t as good as some other hostels I’ve stayed in recently. The beds were not the most comfortable, though I did sleep alright on them. The beds are completely in the open, so there is absolutely no privacy at all. Also, there are limited electrical outlets, so, depending on how busy it is, you might be fighting for plug space (fortunately the dorm was less than half occupied during my visit, so it wasn’t much of a problem). The dorm does have one, ensuite bathroom, which I imagine results in queues during the busy season, however it is very clean. Lockers are available outside the dorm room for your bags/valuables. The dorm is located on the second floor, over streets which are quite busy late at night, so you will hear the din from the crowd below (light sleepers beware!). Two of the best aspects of this hostel as it’s location and rooftop terrace. Five minutes walk from Monastiraki Square, everything you want to see in central Athens is a stones throw away. The rooftop terrace is absolutely wonderful, with magnificent views of the Acropolis and the old city. A great place to enjoy a few beers in the evening (and a killer sunset), a coffee in the morning (with a terrific sunrise), or just catching some rays in the afternoon. See photos. For the location and terrace alive, I’d stay here again…but would probably opt for a private room.
