Nice little Greek hotel, family run. Clean and comfortable. Half board is a tad confusing for some. Ask the rep for advice as it was complicated as the food is chosen off the menu for the attached Nico’s bar. We didn’t have an issue but some did. We had starter, main and desert all in, others were having to pay. Food was excellent, cooked to order. Pool is nice ..plenty of sun beds. Couple of nights entertainment were just starting up for the season. Breakfast was a Greek style cold breakfast which was good. Can recommend the moped shop called Marinos Rentals, just a couple of doors down the road. Great price and lots of advice of where to go from them too, along with a map. Nice place, beaches were nice too.

We booked to stay here through Love Holidays but contacted the hotel directly as we wanted a family room together. Nothing was too much trouble for Maria and the team. They were so friendly and helpful sorting out our room, transport from the airport, hiring a car, even when we requested an extra sheet for my daughters bed. The hotel has a lovely community feel. We all loved the food at Nico’s Place, good sized portions and so tasty. I would highly recommend their Greek night but they also have other themed nights like quiz night where we came second! Nico is so friendly and we loved HAPPY HOUR! V Short walk to bars, shops and restaurants. Would recommend to families and couples alike.

Not sure what we were expecting from this hotel but for the €26 per night it is good value. The rooms are clean (not 100% but beds/ bathroom/towels were clean), it was a little chilly at night so we had to run the hairdryer as there was a fee for the remote for the air on/heating system which we didn’t pay for. There was an issue with our bathroom as the shower leaked out of the tray into the bathroom and the drainage wasn’t very good so it was like walking in puddles. Also dirt from the extractor fan kept falling on top of the toilet. The rooms walls/ceilings are thin so you can hear people in the shower and flushing the toilet but for what we paid for a room, none of it was worth mentioning to the lady on reception who was very pleasant and helpful with booking taxis etc. Breakfast was basic but fine, no variety it was the same stuff every day but again can’t complain due to price. 5 min walk to restaurants and bars and 15 mins to lovely beach. 20 mins to airport so also good location. Would recommend for those on a budget if you aren’t planning on spending much time in the room then it’s worth booking!

GOOD POINTS - Rooms were clean - Shower was really good in the rooms - Good Pool - Very comfy Bed one of the best I have slept in also very comfy pillows was very impressed. - Cleaners were really friendly and always spoke BAD POINTS - Air con was absolutely awful in our room absolute waste of 70 Euros (10 euros per night) - Parts of room was a bit dated needs a bit of an update, however as previously mentioned they were clean - Hair Dryer didn’t work, plug in toilet was broken on first day (cleaner had it fixed the next day though) - Breakfast was not very good, could of had a bit more choice just didn’t look appetising at all. Useful Tips - 15-20 minute walk on average, it’s all flat aswell - Safe cost about 20 euros a week - Hotel bar sells water in packs of 6 so you don’t have to walk far with water as they are heavy - Best place to rent a quad or scooter is Marinos car rental it’s about 100m down from the hotel and has brilliant reviews so would recommend these guys we used them. - Supermarket on jct heading to beach closest to hotel is the biggest and best one for things you will need. Overall I would go elsewhere personally

Lovely hotel on edge of the village. We arrived on Tuesday and so far everything is lovely. The pool is very inviting and Nikos bar has a wonderful selection of food and cold drinks. Rooms are spacious and very clean and have a kettle and mini oven in them. Supermarket next door has everything you need. The village is a 5-6 minute walk away and there are some lovely shops restaurants and a wonderful bakery for your fresh bread and cakes. Elia restaurant just down from the Letsos hotel is lovely to go and eat at. My third time to Alikanas and I plan on visiting again next year. If you like quiet place to stay, you won’t go wrong here. Ignore the negative reviews, this place has everything and much more. The owners are friendly and will do anything for you!!!

If you want to book 14 nights at this hotel...please be aware it is not guaranteed...on arrival we was greeted by the owner...who informed us...our room wasn't ready due to mail problems...and we would have to go to another hotel....she hadn't told tui as could sort it herself...this was for one night and to come back in the morning for breakfast...we returned in the morning for breakfast to be told come back at 10am...when we went to reception there was three other couples in the same predicament....it was plain to see she had double booked our rooms...the small compensation she offered was a free safety deposit box....when we eventually got our key to our room we was happy with it...a big improvement on the previous hotel...we felt for the rest of the holiday cold shouldered by the owner...but as previous reviews say...if you aren't eating and drinking at the hotel...they don't want to know.. .Well we are people who like to do our own thing on holiday...in the end we started using the bliss bar just down the road...much more welcoming...the plus side of the hotel was the cleaners...I do hope that the owner values them...towels and sheets changed regularly.. and a thorough clean every day...on the whole we had a good holiday...I can recommend...bliss bar and pool...bekiris taverna... and golden dolphin excursions...and we hope 🙏 to return to Alykanas one day...but not to the plessas Palace...

After reading previous reviews we were a bit worried about going to the Plessas. It turned out to be not nearly as bad as portrayed by past guests There was an issue with rooms when we arrived which resulted in us having to sleep in another apartment on the first night. The next day we were given the wrong room 1 x (2 bed apartment instead of 2 x one bed apartments) . Maria quickly sorted this out for us and we ended up with 2 x 2 bedroom apartments and given free air con and free safe as compensation. I have read on previous post that people didn't expect to pay for air con however is does state on tui that it is to be paid locally, which in all my years of going to Greece I know as normal practice. The breakfast was basic, but truly nothing you could complain about. Cold meats, tomatoes , cold boiled eggs, cheese, feta cheese, bread, yogurt, fruit, yes there was cold beans, but if you don't like them don't complain just don't eat them We didn't go to the pool, it was clean but a bit crowed for us. We used the bar for lunch a few times and a drink in the evening and all staff were helpful and friendly and the food was lovey Our room was cleaned everyday , and had clean towels every other day. Sheets were changed 3 times in our 11 day stay. Overall yes there were issues BUT they were resolved quickly and to our advantage The hotel owners are friendly and helpful, the rooms are basic but are cleaned and towels and sheets are replenished regularly

We had one of our best family holidays this year at Plessas Palace and to see the previous reviews that have been added over this summer has motivated me to add our own experiences of these apartments and the resort. Clearly the run of negative reviews are all for the same group and reading between the lines they tried to book a room to cover their late flight and got upset after they were charged for it! Pretty standard practice at every hotel and apartments wherever you stay in the world!! Just people not getting their own way!! So, we stayed at Plessas Palace in July this year and we had the best time from the first day to the last. We booked two rooms for the four of us and they were perfect for our needs. Yes, we paid for air con, but then we have done this in every apartments we have ever stayed in, nothing unusual there! The breakfast was continental and ok for us. Generally we ate lunch as well so didn’t need a huge breakfast anyway. The bar and all the staff in there are excellent and made our stay so much better. We ate lunch in there a few times but generally ate out in the evening at the many wonderful restaurants in the resort. We also attended the quiz, bingo and Greek nights at Plessas which were all very entertaining. On the back of this holiday we already booked again for next summer and we are also having a short break at the end of September which we cannot wait for.

This was our second consecutive year at Plessas and it won't be our last! I'm concerned to read some of the previous negative reviews this year as they just don't mirror our experience at all. Plessas Palace is a family run hotel and all staff are so welcoming and friendly. Pigi organised our return minibus transfer to and from the airport and it went like clockwork, we'd never use a coach transfer again! We stayed in the Dennis Studios this year across the road from the main complex and liked the privacy they afforded us. Roomy studios with good-sized balcony, perfectly functional shower room which flooded a bit sometimes but it hardly mattered. The studios were kept spotlessly clean by the housekeeping staff who came every day and changed our bedding and towels about 3 or 4 times in 10 days. Good pool, but also loads of others to visit in the village if you wanted a change of scene. We loved spending time at Niko's Place where the food is very good and the drinks reasonably priced. It's a relaxed atmosphere with a really good vibe. We enjoyed the bingo, quiz and other activities, but just generally enjoyed hanging out with Niko, Christian (and Christian's Dad, sorry, can't remember your name!) and other customers all of whom were very friendly and lots of fun. My adult kids really enjoyed chatting to Christian about music, chess, study, life etc and playing pool together; and the positive energy and atmosphere at the bar made for some wonderful evenings. Plessas doesn't purport to be a 5 star property so if that's the kind of experience you are looking for, then book elsewhere! But if you want kind, welcoming hosts in comfortable, good value for money accommodation in a more authentic part of Zante with a fantastic beach and with access to lots of excellent restaurants, then this is the place for you. We absolutely loved our holiday in Alykanas and even though Storm Daniel made an unwelcome appearance during the last 3 days we were there, nothing could dampen our spirits! We can't wait to come back and would always choose Plessas over anywhere else. τα λέμε σύντομα to all our lovely friends at Plessas Palace. Take care and keep safe (from the Parish tribe) xxx
