This was genuinely a wonderful and most special place. The Rocksalt Rooms are in a separate building to the Restaurant - but you check in at the latter and walk you over. Note all the streets here are cobbled, which can be slippery when wet. They are a real BoltHole as they are described, and there are only four total. 2 on 1st floor, 2 on 2nd floor, with one per floor harbour facing. I'd definitely suggest that the upgrade is worth it. The rooms are compact but exceptionally well presented. I've odd little niggles, theres no bedside of any kind - floating shelf would work, where do you put your mobile? And the metal bed frame is ornate and was loose on the footboard. The biggest challenge is where to put things. There are a few hangers on the back of the door and a small set of hooks, but not a drawer or proper place at all. I get space is a real premium here - bedside with 2 drawers all you need! The wet room is compact as everyone says. You won't keep the floor area outside the shower dry, it's not possible. The sink is a corner one with no space to place things but there is shelf in the bathroom for all your luxuries. The body wash / conditioner / hand soap / hand moisturiser are great quality. Noise - it's by the Harbour so they start early, but for us it was part of the charm of the location, the fresh fish smell was totally incredible. Breakfast is not to be missed, across in the restaurant with the best view, it's harbour side. Loved the granola, yoghurt, compote starter. I had English Breakfast as I was hungry, it was great quality but disappoining - it was more style over substance. The bacon is cooked to crispy, not my style at all but great quality. He had the Salmon & Eggs and it won hands down. Local, fresh, decent portion, on wonderful Sourdough. Luckily I was saved a bite. A point or two more - the bedside light fused the circuit and the room was plunged into darkness. Looked for fuse box, could not find. Ended up in Restsurant. They had to get keys to a location they used to own but don't now (ground floor of the Rooms building). This took a while as the keys had to be obtained. I get how this used to work, but not now - the fuse box needs moving. The if we cant fix option was check out and refund - erm no!! There is the most incredible Team member behind the Bar/ Restaurant from Bulgaria whose name I have really tsckily forgotten. For which I apologise. She is truly wonderful and made the visit for me, id return solely to see her again!!! Overall we loved Rocksalt Rooms and would return, to have dinner in the restaurant too! La ubicación es maravillosa, a pocos pasos del centro de Canterbury, y nuestro hostal fue hermoso, muy amable y bienvenido. El desayuno no era abrumador, muy básico. Muchos negros con la habitación aunque ..... mantenimiento parece estar en la lista de prioridades tristemente. Fridge no funcionó. La TV había roto el marco de plástico alrededor de ella. La tele no se conectó a la TV. Sin embargo, podrías acceder a la TV manualmente ....once hubieras desconectado lo que no funcionaba primero. El conjunto de tiras de cama tenía mandos que seguían cayendo. No hay un acoplamiento de la bañera. También se trataba de que todos los dispositivos eléctricos tuvieran que ser montados en un solo tablero de vía. Dicho esto, a pesar de todos los negros, no nos detuvo de tener un hermoso fin de semana en Canterbury - ubicación construida para ello junto con la hospitalidad de Sanjeewa.

This was a three night ‘escape’ to explore a completely new area. Broadstairs is a lovely small old fashioned resort with bracing walks, friendly people, some lovely eateries and many places to sit and watch the world go by. Artfuls was a perfect base. Small and friendly, it is ideally located near the seafront, promenade and town centre. The staff were all absolutely lovely, extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the area and good places to eat. Our room was quirky but comfortable with everything we needed. Breakfasts were excellent and unhurried. There was easy parking nearby. I readily recommend Artfuls to any couples wishing to enjoy a relaxed break in a lovely place. I would

Although the customer service is hard to contsct including the so called emergency number. After telling trip.com the owner finally picked up my calls. This is a Sherlock Holmes style game so that you can earn the super privilege to live inside. ON THE OPPOSITE OF THE DOOR BELL , THERE IS A SECRET BOX..... After being given a few wrong passwords and a few wrong secret box number, I could finally enter the Sherlock Holmes Manion and finally enter my room which has an ensuite toilet and bath room. The house and the room are excellent , protected by 24 hour cctv camera I would recommend this one especially if you like Sherlock Holmes.

I stayed a couple of nights over weekend , room was large with a double bed and a single , clean with tv and coffee and tea . Bathroom was clean , had bath with overhead shower . Room on main road but wasn’t too noisy , space for vehicle parking at the front and around side of building  Saturday night they had a marquee up in the grounds and quite loud music but went off at eleven so didnt disturb my sleep. Bar looked nice and dinning area and tge food smelled nice but I was there for friends barbecue so didnt eat there , would definitely stay there again .

Hotel is strict with 3 PM checked in. Unfortunately, it was the hottest day and we had the room number one which facing west & boiling hot.  Aircon didn’t work in the room, staff had to put 3 fans & a portable AC but didn’t do much.  Went out the whole day when back at night our room was still boiling hot measured 28’c.  The lady manger was helpful but not much she can do to help cool down the room.  The hotel was kind enough to offer 50% off our room rate upon check out.

A great pub to stay at for a long weekend. We stayed there to watch racing at Brands Hatch for two days and you could not be closer to the circuit. The food was outstanding, we had a ribeye steak and we are still talking about it a week later. The staff were very friendly and if they saw our glass empty it was promptly collected and refreshed. Perfect hotel in a lovely little village the owners are great nothing is no trouble always happy to help room was great with everything you need breakfast is included in the price and the breakfast was great with fantastic ingredients so if you are in the area and need to stay then choose this hotel as its perfect and you will be treated well

Como empresario del hotel, me encantaría que Alex pudiera tratar el hotel familiar tan perfecto! Este comentario no es simple y limpio, el servicio es bueno, la ubicación es buena para expresar mis sentimientos! Quiero decir, el diseño es muy característico, muy artístico, aprovecha todos los recursos, pero no está abundante, refleja el alto gusto y la atención de los operadores! ¡Alex experimentó su gran buena voluntad en una época en que el turismo no se ha recuperado! ¡Así que es un hotel familiar muy recomendable! ¡Volveré! ¡Como practicante de hotel, admiro a Alex por gestionar su hotel familiar tan perfecto! Este comentario no es sólo sobre ser limpio, temprano, bueno servicio y buena ubicación para expresar mis sentimientos! Lo que quiero decir es que el diseño es muy único y artístico, haciendo pleno uso de todos los recursos pero no congestionados, y reflejando el alto gusto y cuidadosa gestión del operador en todas partes! ¡Alex tiene la gran bondad de ofrecer a sus huéspedes diferentes alimentos y bebidas cuando la industria turística no ha recuperado aún! ¡Así que este es un hotel familiar muy recomendado! ¡Volveré! My wife and l spent a delightful 3 nights in this lovey unique house with Japanese themed garden. Our room was clean and well equipped. Rod is an excellent host and made us very welcome. He also provided a very good breakfast. Highly recommend.
