I recently stayed at Scenic Hotel Southern Cross and had a very pleasant experience. One of the biggest highlights of this hotel is its excellent location – it's within walking distance to many of Dunedin's main attractions, including the Railway Station, Baldwin Street (the world’s steepest street), and Queen’s Gardens. Whether you're in town for sightseeing or just want convenient access to key places, this hotel is ideally situated. The check-in and check-out process was smooth and efficient, and the staff were warm and welcoming, making the entire stay hassle-free. The room was clean and well-maintained, providing a comfortable space to relax after a day of exploring the city. Another plus is the on-site hotel parking, which is a great convenience, especially in a central location like this. Overall, I’d recommend Scenic Hotel Southern Cross for anyone looking for a comfortable, well-located hotel in Dunedin with friendly service and all the essentials covered.

Location: The hotel is located close to the Queenstown airport but approximately 15 mins away from Queenstown itself. Parking: There is no parking bays at the Hilton (only valet) itself but it shares with Doubletree which is limited. Due to some maintenance work, level P2 was closed off and had to park in a reserved slot for the night. Cost of parking is NZ$ 16 per night. Rooms: This is where my issue lies, the room temp is centrally managed and it was freezing at night especially with the floor to ceiling windows. Had to go to the front desk for portable heater and extra blankets on the 1st night. Bathroom is non-heated (with tiled floors) so extra cold in there. In most places we stayed in NZ, the bathrooms had heated lamps overhead for comfort. I requested the accessible room for mom and it was provided as requested although the location of the room was on one end of the building which is a distance to walk. Food: Breakfast was a good selection and ran from 630 to 1030am.

Very good motels in the town. Everything was completed and very comfortable. The owner was quite friendly . We got the ground floor room, and the car was Juz parked infront of the room. Super convenient.

En general es un buen hotel en Nueva Zelanda. Ubicación central, a pocos pasos de las tiendas de Queen Street. Lamentablemente, el precio que reservé con antelación era más caro que el precio del día del check-in😓 El desayuno estaba bien. Los precios locales son altos y el hotel ofrece un desayuno muy bueno Nueva Zelanda básicamente no proporciona zapatillas ni artículos desechables. Contacta con ellos antes de viajar al extranjero para prepararlos tú mismo, lo que también contribuye a la protección del medio ambiente, aunque es un inconveniente😊

Muy bien, súper cómodo y moderno. En la parte de atrás del hotel hay algunas plazas de aparcamiento del hotel, gratuitas. Si están ocupadas, mejor no aparcar en sitios reservados para otras entidades porque te llevarás una multa ($86). El parking del hotel subterráneo son $20 por noche y el parking público que hay en las inmediaciones, $11.

La ubicación es excelente, muy cerca de las principales atracciones, a 10 minutos a pie. Se puede aparcar gratis en la calle de 18:00 a 09:00. Fuera de ese horario, cuesta 3,5 dólares la hora por un máximo de 2 horas, lo que es mucho más barato que aparcar en el centro de Auckland. La cama de la habitación era demasiado blanda para mi gusto.

Recommend this hotel to everyone, the lady help me check in is very friendly and professional, explain every details to me and show me to the room, good quality service.   The room is spacious and the view is beautiful.

La habitación muy cómoda, y el chico de recepción muy amable. Tienen una tienda de alimentos, lo que nos pareció útil. También dejaban calentar tu comida en el microondas si lo necesitabas. Eso si, es el hotel más apartado de todos.

Está a unos 8 kilómetros de Queenstown, pero está muy cerca del aeropuerto. Hay un centro comercial cercano con muchas tiendas grandes, en el que es muy fácil comprar. La habitación del hotel es muy grande, nueva y limpia. Tiene nevera, utensilios de cocina, lavadora y secadora, etc. Se puede decir que es bastante completa. El único inconveniente es que el aire acondicionado y la secadora gastan mucho. ruido.
