Nos alojamos frente a la recepción principal. Es fácil encontrar la ubicación. El hotel no limpió bien el primer día que llegué. Había toallas usadas y pañuelos de papel en el baño. Solicitamos el servicio de limpieza al día siguiente. En la planta baja hay una cafetera (con cargo adicional). Esto es un punto a favor. Muy conveniente. Cerca de la estación de tren y autobús.

We found the Fretheim Hotel very pleasant upon arrival — from the beautiful entryway to the stunning views from our balcony and the delicious breakfast, it certainly makes a great first impression. However, our room was a disappointment. Walking in, it felt outdated and somewhat cheap, which was surprising given the price of 2800 NOK per night. Essentials were lacking: no face washers, tissues, or shampoo were provided (the staff suggested using body wash as a substitute), and we had to specifically request a small bottle of conditioner. The old age of the towels was clearly apparent, and mold was visible on the glass wall at the edge of the bath. Another unusual aspect was room temperature control: it’s managed from the main desk downstairs, and with no phone in the room, we had to go down late at night just to adjust it. We’ve never encountered this before. The bathroom clearly shows its age — dated to the late 1990s — and it contributed to the overall feeling of the room being out of step with the hotel’s otherwise high standard. In summary, while the hotel itself is charming and well-located, the room we stayed in did not meet expectations for the price and could benefit from updates and better in-room amenities.

Fantastic hotel, felt completely spoilt whilst staying there. The breakfast buffet on another level and the room was modern, calming and relaxing. The hotel spa was also a welcomed break, before exploring more of the beautiful Bergen. Thank you!

Excellent service - let me check in early and check out late. The breakfast buffet was simple and well stocked with both hot and cold options. The room itself was lovely and the hotel is located close to the town and not too far from the port.

El hotel estaba bastante bien, la habitación un poco pequeña en cuanto a tamaño, pero al ir sólo a dormir casi ni nos afecto, simplemente era mas con el tema de abrir maletas. El baño estaba bien, y el desayuno era bastante completo. La atención fue muy buena en todo momento.

Sound proofing of the rooms are real bad. If you are to leave the windows open for ventilation as there is no air condition unit, you will not be able to have a restful night as those rooms facing the street can hear the noise of the people talking and laughing, vehicles noise, garbage truck till very late into the night and early in the morning. Even if you are to close the windows and bear with the poor ventilated room, you can still hear the noises from the street. Otherwise a decent hotel in a good location. Service is lukewarm and just average.
