What I enjoyed most about Buxton was its peaceful atmosphere. It felt like a place where you could slow down, relax, and appreciate the beauty around you. I loved strolling through the well-maintained gardens, sitting outside with a refreshing drink overlooking the park, and admiring the town’s impressive Victorian architecture. Staying in the Wedgwood Suite at the Palace Hotel & Spa made the trip even more memorable. We managed to secure it at an amazing price, making it feel like a real luxury experience without the luxury price tag. While the spa is a little dated and could do with some cosmetic updates, it was still enjoyable and a lovely place to unwind. I also enjoyed the fun touches around Buxton, like the giant outdoor chess set, which added character to the town. Overall, Buxton has a unique combination of history, elegance, green spaces, and tranquillity that makes it a wonderful destination for a relaxing getaway. It left me feeling refreshed and reminded me that sometimes the simplest escapes are the most rewarding.

Best Western Plus Buxton Hotel Stayed here for one night during my Peak District trip. The hotel is very well located, right in the centre of Buxton and close to the Pavilion Gardens, bus stops, and walking routes. The room was clean, comfortable, and warm — perfect after a long day of hiking. Staff were polite and helpful, and the overall experience was smooth and hassle-free. A solid choice if you’re exploring Buxton and the Peak District using public transport.

We stayed for 1 night for a special occasion. On arrival we were told that the spa was closed for an event which was very disappointing as I booked this hotel because of the spa & had planned to use the pool & sauna. This should gave been communicated at the time of booking. The building and grounds were impressive but on arrival our featured superior room was freezing cold. The reception turned on the heating at our request but this should have been done hours before our arrival given that it was 8 degrees outside. We sat for an hour in the room with our coats on before asking for a portable heater due to the radiators being only lukewarm. The room never really got warm & when we came back from dinner at 9.15 the heating had been turned off again & we had to ask for it to be turned on again. The food in the restaurant was very good & the servers were lovely but unorganised. We planned to have a drink in the hotel bar but it was so cold that it was empty and not comfortable to stay. I heard kore than one staff member complain about the cold in the hotel. What could have been a very pleasant stay was spoiled by the cold. Unfortunately, we will not return.

Booked this hotel as we were attending women’s football at Derby Pride Park.  We used the NCP car park which was only. 5min walk.  All the staff were smart, well mannered and helpful.  The room was a good size and were surprised to have a full sized bath as well as a powerful shower.  Fantastic breakfast selection where all food was replenished as soon as it was getting low. The only negatives for us was the fact we found some rubbish near the bed along with evidence of dust, one of the bed sheets was torn and one of the bedside wall lamp units was hanging off the wall but still functional. Overall a really lovely hotel  and ideally situated for the football stadium as well as taking in the local sites/ shopping centre (straight over the road)

From the outside, the hotel makes a charming first impression with its elegant façade, ornate balconies, and a warmly lit lobby that exudes a sense of old-world charm. The check-in process is smooth, and the staff are courteous and eager to help. The room was clean and spacious, the décor is a bit dated but it adds a character to the place and I like it. The only small issue was, there’s no window only a door to the balcony which is locked and we cannot access it making the room stuffy. Also, it was difficult to relax or get a good night’s sleep due to a noise of exhaust fan in the bathroom throughout the night. The bed was comfortable and having an iron was a bonus. Will I stay again? Definitely.

La chica en la recepción que estaba ofreciendo preseco fue muy amable y útil, chica detrás del escritorio creo que no había estado mucho tiempo había un conejo en la cabeza, recibió el pedido de desayuno incorrecto ( sobrecargado) quizás nuevo para trabajar así que no quieres ser demasiado duro, No podía conseguir café en el bar porque la máquina de café estaba rota, no había vasos de vino adecuados, el personal era eficiente y útil.

La habitación era grande pero antigua. El techo se deslizó en los lados que nos golpeamos en la cabeza varias veces. La ventana era pequeña, lo que lo hizo lleno y muy oscuro, no había luz principal en el dormitorio sólo luces. La cama era grande y cómoda. La habitación y el baño estaba limpio. No hay nada que quejarse de esto, pero esperamos que la habitación fuera un poco más lujosa. Un poco sobrepreciado para la habitación.

Allowed us to check in early, which was a bonus. Breakfast was good but not worth £15, so glad we paid a discount price booking through Trip.com. We chose Holiday Inn over Premier Inn, which are opposite each other, because of the provision of twin beds. We would definitely stay here again.

La casa es un hotel muy agradable para permanecer. Confirme el personal rápido y eficiente y cortesía como siempre. Muchos espacios de estacionamiento en el sitio. El hotel dispone de una habitación con aire acondicionado y un buen baño con ducha de energía. Nos habíamos reservado el desayuno pero olvidamos completamente el desayuno terminado a las 9:00 en el lunes. La habitación es muy agradable, pero no es muy agradable. Un agradable estancia no es más que añadir.
