Paint the beautiful grounds of Lauriston Castle with ink and watercolours. This stunning location combines nature with architecture and enjoys fantastic views over the Forth to Fife. On this 3 hour sketching tour, Mark (known locally as EdinburghSketcher) will guide you around the castle grounds, picking out details that will help describe the techniques he has picked up over a decade of sketching around the city. Each class will touch on mark making, perspectives, depth and composition, as you go from 5 minute exercises to relax the hand and work on composition, to 30 minute detailed vistas. Mark’s sketching tours are perfect for all levels, from beginners to those who would like to learn more about his unique speed-sketching style, or to practice sketching with ink and watercolour. A mount to house your finished sketches plus all materials needed on the day are included. This is a walking and sketching tour so come dressed for the Scottish weather! Prepare for all weathers, this is an outdoor walking and sketching tour so please do check the forecast before you leave and dress appropriately. I will persevere if there is a little light rain but in the event of extreme weather we have space indoors where I will run the workshop using items from the beach and photographs of the area. The minimum age is 8 years old, and anyone aged 8-15 needs to be accompanied by a ticket holding adult.

Situado justo al final del Mile Real, el Santuario tiene una residencia real desde el siglo XVI, y la Abad&iacute;a original se fund&oacute; en 1128 (que todav&iacute;a est&aacute; en el lugar). Es absolutamente un deber ver durante su tiempo en Edimburgo, siendo un ejemplo perfecto de un palacio de trabajo. Pero no lo compare con el Palacio de Buckingham en Londres, ya que estos dos son completamente diferentes en todos los aspectos, pero uno, que es ser una residencia monarca. Algunas habitaciones est&aacute;n llenas al barrio con eventos hist&oacute;ricos y se encuentran en las famosas pinturas. Una de ellas es la cama de la reina de Escocia, donde su querido amigo fue asesinado justo delante de ella (hay tambi&eacute;n un lugar que se afirma ser tintado con sangre con su cuerpo donde se dej&oacute; su cuerpo). La experiencia general de la inmersi&oacute;n es garantizada y recomiendo encarecidamente visitar este palacio.
