Booked a room and evening meal. Check in was straightforward and receptionist was professional. Gave advice on breakfast time and where room was located. Room was spacious and thankfully not too hot. Thw bathroom had an extractor fand that kept.going about 15 mins after the light had been turned off! Bed was really comfy, not too soft and duvet was warm. Plenty of pillows :) There was 2 free bottles of water and a coffee machine with pods, I did not use this but water in a fridge was appreciated. Towels were clean and bathroom radiator was hot so towels were nice and warm. Free toiletries in the bathroom but I had taken my own so didn't use them. The lights in the hallways have motion sensors so the hallway are a bit dark when you first walk into them. The evening meal was with my work group and results varied. Most people enjoyed but personally I didn't. The soup I got was half cold and the other side of the bowl was warm. The mushroom stroganoff was lacking taste and the apple and cinnamon crumble was most cinnamon. I have eaten here before and enjoyed but was not impressed this time. It was quite busy and the staff seemed overworked as no one came to ask if we were OK or if we needed drinks and I did have to wave people over a few times. The reception area is also the bar. Its obviously a popular pub as it was crowded but maybe they should have more staff on, the same people seemed to be dealing with check in, diners and bar drinks. Just seemed a bit disorganised. The drinks here were nice and decently priced. They also do large 250ml wine, unlike a lot of places nowadays. Breakfast the next morning was great, good coffee and hot food. Check out was simple, just hand your key card back. I would stay here again but might not have the evening meal!

Sockets y puntos de carga USB en ambos lados de la habitación, grande para cargar múltiples dispositivos. La iluminación en la zona de la piscina era pobre, bastante oscuro. Los lockers en la zona cambiante necesitan un padlock, ya que no sabíamos que no sabíamos. A Wonderful Stay at the Lowfield Inn – A Hidden Gem on the English-Welsh Border We had a fantastic stay at the Lowfield Inn and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Our family room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, with plenty of room to relax, including a sofa. The bed was especially comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep in a quiet and peaceful setting. The inn features a lovely common area and a roof terrace with a beautiful view of the surrounding countryside. The scenery is stunning and perfect for enjoying long walks along the border between England and Wales. The pub itself is a true highlight—offering a great selection of traditional cask ales and a very welcoming beer garden where you can enjoy the evening sun. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, and the staff are genuinely helpful and accommodating. We particularly appreciated the thoughtful touches, such as pencils and paper provided for children. As for the food: it was excellent and exceeded our expectations. The menu offers a wonderful mix of traditional English pub fare and Indian dishes, all prepared with creativity and care. The starters were delicious, the mains were generous and satisfying, and the desserts were absolutely indulgent. The children’s menu was also well thought out and very appealing. Breakfast was equally impressive, with a wide selection and very generous portions—no one left hungry! There’s also plenty of parking space, which made everything even easier. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely return the next time we’re in the area.

El Féathers está bien situado en el centro de Ludlow y es un antiguo edificio lleno de encanto. Sin embargo, esto también significa que es un poco de un conejo de guerra dentro, lo que hace difícil encontrar su camino alrededor de los largos corredores de rama - un pesadilla cierta en caso de un incendio. El hotel está muy bien situado, pero no hay nada que pueda hacer. Nuestra cama era grande, limpia y cómoda y la habitación estaba bien recurso: instalaciones de té y café con una amplia gama de tés y leche; agua canada complimentaria en la mini refrigeradora; plancha de hierro y de hierro; muchos sockets incluyendo USB, La habitación está muy bien, pero no hay pasta de dientes que se olvide de empacar. No tuvimos tiempo para usar las áreas de recepción abajo, pero se veían bien presentadas y estaban llenas de carácter, ofreciendo un espacio muy atractivo para tomar una bebida o una comida. El personal de la recepción fue agradable y profesional.

On Trip.com said free parking, but got charged £5 for parking upon arrival. Good budget hotel, you pay for what you get really. Dated rooms, but clean enough. Hotel location is at a services, so no public transport etc, but good location if you have your own car. Easy check in and check out. 

I could be A1 if the facilities were maintained but unfortunately the spa is starting to look and feel shabby. Lockers broken, tiles missing, saunas and steam rooms not working, hot water temperamental, circa 70% of light bulbs not working (hydrospa area) ... Just missing the touch that would elevate the place. Rooms are clean and welcoming, our bed had been wellness and the mattress sagged in the middle, but it was comfy and we didn't complain (rm 224). Couldn't control TV, controller was faulty. Nice view across canal and fields. Overall, it is worth the price but could be so much more! We enjoyed our stay, we will be back for an overnight break away, we dont expect.much to change, just wish it would!

From the very start, Rebecca was an absolute star. Her proactive communication and all the useful information she shared made us feel confident we were in for a lovely stay and we truly were. She greeted us on a rainy day with a big smile that instantly made us feel at home.The house is beautifully set among rare farmlands, offering peace and scenic charm. Our room, which had a private balcony, gave us stunning countryside views. Having binoculars provided in the room was such a thoughtful touch we loved watching the birds while relaxing outside.The place itself is full of delightful details board games both in the room and the lobby, Sky and Netflix for cozy evenings, and a nice selection of snacks and small bites available.Breakfast was served with a view, and it was excellent fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. My wife and I truly enjoyed every part of our stay, and we will definitely be coming back.

Brilliant hotel right in the town centre, easy to find just off the motorway. The swimming pool was lovely and warm with good showers and lockers. The breakfast was superb with as much as you can eat. The view from our lovely with green grass and trees. We would love to come back.

The hotel is a little tired and in need of refurbishment in places. The staff were very friendly, especially considering they were having to work on NYE! The room was warm, the bedding/towels were clean and breakfast was good. We couldn’t connect to WiFi during our stay until we were in the car park ready to leave

We booked for the Shrewsbury School speech day and leavers ball so the whole town was fully booked. Thankfully there was a suite available at my favourite local hotel. We needed a room for 3 and the hotel staff were super helpful in accommodating our needs. It’s family owned and the culture of care is pervasive. It’s a hotel where the staff like to say yes. Not to mention the character of the hotel itself. It’s a mixture of 12th, 15th and 17th century architecture forming an elaborate maze of rooms covering the block. The Matthews family have truly created a 5 star hotel experience. I was even offered a glass of sherry by the night watchman when I checked in on once at 1am. I cannot recommend this hotel enough.
