5* hotel booked to end our trip in style. Bar staff and cleaners were super happy, polite and love to great the guests in the hotel. Reception staff were generally unhelpful. I tried to book activities and excursions, but was initially told to go the hotel next door before being given a random book While trying to sort late check out one receptionist began serving another customer over my head. Late check out was eventually agreed to which was helpful but after being sat face to face in silence for minutes. Facilities are wonderful. Nice private beach, great pool area. Two bars and buffet style restaurant with ala carte option. Locals got charged significantly less for our event dinner. Some would say that's fair, others would disagree, but not being transparent probably suggests it was trying to be hidden. Service wasn't 5*. When we arrived our bedding was ripped and had a huge hole in it. Thankfully this was fixed, but I think atleast 2/3 people came to check before it was resolved.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel overall. The private beach is beautiful and peaceful, making it a perfect place to relax. The pool area is also great, very clean and well maintained. Breakfast each morning was delicious with plenty of options to choose from. Our room was clean, comfortable, and had strong AC, which made a big difference in the heat. The staff were very kind and welcoming throughout our stay. One thing to note is that we didn’t receive responses regarding booking tours through the hotel, even after following up. I would recommend arranging any tours or activities in advance to avoid inconvenience. Overall, we enjoyed our time here and appreciated the relaxing atmosphere.

La decoración y el gusto son buenos y el precio es asequible. ¡Pertenece al centro de la ciudad y tiene transporte conveniente! Uber es muy conveniente, Sri Lanka es un gran lugar para viajar

Very friendly staff. It was just an OK stay. The room was a bit run down, common areas were very nice though. The ceiling fan was very noisy because it wasn't really mounted well. It did have a nice restaurant and spa facilities. Two pools were great and the clean beach access was the best. Having a gym was a pleasant surprise. There was a block wide power outage due to power line upgrade and I was grateful they had a generator to keep things going for 8+hours of having no power elsewhere. I personally probably would not want to stay here again.

Esta era mi tercera estancia en los Goldi Sands, honestamente, la última vez fue hace casi 20 años, pero tuve un gran tiempo atrás, entonces tenía grandes expectativas. En los 20 años que se han producido, el hotel ha tenido una revamp, doble tamaño, doble número de piscinas, ha añadido un ascensor y han eliminado los bungalows frente a la playa. El hotel está muy bien, pero no se puede ir a la calle. Llegamos tarde, porque nuestro vuelo había sido retrasado, todo lo que quería era un par de botellas de cerveza, llegaron, pero casi tuve que pedir. Reservé un taxi al aeropuerto con el escritorio delantero, pero se olvidaron, las cafeterías de la cena estaban en torno a la venta dura en lugar de servir. El desayuno, en cuanto a mi memoria, me sirve como siempre fue maravilloso, el desayuno de hoy es el mismo día cada día y carece de imaginación, está mal presentado, y incluye el peor café de la historia. El hotel tiene un número confuso de tarifas desde todo incluido a habitación, lo que significa que si quieres comprar una bebida, se tarda para siempre como tienen que comprobar su ”Estado” y luego si pagas dinero, tienen que ir al cajero porque no tienen flotación. Good big room with nice view to the beach. Some restaurants are a few minutes nearby. Would recommend.

Great place to stay. Staff were very good and helpful. The breakfast was good. Room size was spacious and it was great to have a choice of AC or calling fan. Great to having a working smart TB too. Choice of minibar options was perfect and at reasonable cost. Pool area was clean and well maintained. Would stay here again.

Berjaya Hotel is a grand entrance. Feels like premium hotel and is best for the people who want to explore the beach. The view from the hotel was very serene, waking up to the sight of beach is amazing. The train passes by every few minutes which might be a nuance if you like absolute quiet environments. There are restraunts and bars nearby on the beach which is a 2 minutes walk from the hotel. It was strange to find a lack of amenities in the room like toothbrush, toothpaste and slippers. I had a walk a couple of kilometres to find a shop to buy slippers before I could take a shower and relax after a long flight. The staff was very helpful during the checkin and checkout process helping me carry my luggage even at 4am in the morning. The complimentary breakfast was also delightfully diverse with a mix of Desi, Continental and Srilankan dishes. Overall I enjoyed my stay. I hope the hotel management can add to the amenities so the international travellers can have a more comfortable stay.
