Verwallsee

Enjoyable hike.

Very nice hike just out side St. Anton. Easy. The lake at the end is so beautiful. We also had lunch at the Wagner Hut on the way. Very enjoable.

A little underwhelming

We hiked from St. Anton to the Verwallsee. The hike through the Rossana Gorge was very beautiful, but the "lake" was a bit underwhelming. It is quite small and only beautiful to look at from one shore...

the lake looks beautiful in the sunshine, and there are many chairs and a playground for children, it's a nice walk to get there through the schlucht

But disappointed

But disappointed to find lake partially drained for work, and some of paths closed for work. Notices regarding latter only in German

Get the Bus up & then walk to Konstanzer Hutte

The Verwallsee is an attractive lake but it is not really a destination on its own. The walk up from St Anton is through heavily wooded terrain and its better to get the bus and save the walking to go...
