A lovely statue.
This is a lovely and imposing statue, located in the town hall square. It provides a fantastic photo-op with the house of Black heads behind it.
Roland The Military Leader
The stone statue of a knight with sword and shield is positioned in the centre of Town Hall Square. Roland was a military leader under the Holy Roman Emperor Charlemagne. The original statue was erect...
Another good reproduction
This is situated in front of the House of Blackheads and is a 1999 reproduction of the 1897 original which was damaged in 1941. The original can be found in St Peter's church.
Nice statue
I don’t know who Roland is but he has a big statue in a nice location. The backdrop for pictures is nice and people flock to the statue.
