I grew up on Pocahontas Island. Left home to join the military in 1975. The house in the photo is the house I grew up in as a child. Great job by Mr Richard with the museum.

This little known historical areas should be talked about a bit more. You can drive around the "island" within 5 minutes. The museum was closed the four times we drove over there. You'll have to call ...

Very cool - one man's quest
We loved it. Not sure it will be around forever but it's cool to talk with the owner/curator. Plus it's telling a vital story.

WORTH THE TRIP ..
The stuff in here is amazing. History with a man to tell you everything about it. He sits on the porch..enticing you to come in and have a chat ...take my advice ...do it ..you will not be sorry.!
