徳川家康の次男で越前福井藩の初代藩主となった武将です。NHK大河ドラマ「どうする家康」ではイケメン俳優が演じていましたが、石像は騎馬にまたがり無表情で前方を見つめていました。

福井城内の貴重な観光スポット

福井城内の貴重なスポットでした。 特に観るほどが無い城内でもあり、この程度の騎馬像でも目立っていました。 猶、写真を撮る角度によっては目障りな県庁ビルが入る為、注意が必要でした。
