Watch the movie!

Nice visitors center, large parking lot. We especially enjoyed the movie to explain what happened here and how the Lost Colony came to be and what may have happened to these first American settlers.

Beautiful

Beautiful, historic and part of our national heritage. The site of the Lost Colony complete with the remnants of the fortress wall. The grounds have lovely shaded walks for coop walks.

Meh not that impressed

We did the free tour with park ranger and it was not the best informative tour by a ranger that we’ve taken. Maybe it was because he tried to be funny since we had young home schoolers in our group?!...
