A truly special stay — raw, beautiful, and full of character From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was exceptional. Vincent, the manager, had arranged for a staff member to meet us at the Post Office. From there, we walked the famous donkey path down to the hotel — and honestly, it was one of the most memorable parts of the trip. Stunning views, donkeys along the way — it’s Santorini. If you expect a completely flat walk, you’re in the wrong place. And that’s not the hotel’s problem. I’ve seen reviews complaining about the stairs, calling it dirty or difficult. Having experienced it myself, I can tell you: it’s nothing. A little walk, a little effort — perfectly fine. If someone can’t manage that, they probably shouldn’t be visiting Santorini in the first place. And the hotel already arranged for staff to carry our luggage both ways — so the hard part was handled. The hotel isn’t trying to be some fake luxury resort. It’s authentic, raw, and full of soul. The location is simply the MOST stunning spot in the area — unbeatable for photos and views. We were incredibly fortunate to be given a room with an indoor hot tub. If you’re visiting Santorini in the winter or early spring, this is incredibly important — it’s cold and windy outside to stay long. I searched for a long time and realized there aren’t many places here with an indoor hot tub. The water was exceptionally clean which made all the difference. Deep, warm, and absolutely relaxing on those cooler March days. The room was also well-equipped with everything we needed — toiletries, coffee machine, water, all provided. Visiting Greece this time of year is actually fantastic. Streets are quiet, no crowds. The views are just as stunning, and you don’t have to deal with extreme heat. Of course, the weather is a bit of a gamble — sometimes it rains — but there are always moments of sunshine. And the best part? It’s not as expensive as in the summer. A place like this is an absolute steal. Breakfast was generous, fresh, and thoughtfully prepared with Greet and American to choose from — a great start to each day. If you’re looking for a place with real character, soul, and the most beautiful setting in Oia — this is it. The team was warm and attentive. Genuinely grateful for our stay. Thanks Old Castle Oia!

At first we enjoyed staying at the suite as it has a great view and a private location. It is also next to the Castle of Oia. However they arranged rather expensive transfers at 70 euros for transfer to the port and 60 euros for transfer to the airport. We managed to find much cheaper transfers online. By this we are talking about 20 euros cheaper per trip. We had to share a cab with other people for their expensive transfer, whereas we managed to arrange a private car online. What was the last straw was that the staff never delivered breakfast by the requested time over the course of our 4-night stay. When we asked for breakfast at 8, breakfast came at 8.30 even they knew we had a flight to catch and we had scheduled checkout at 8:50. What frustrated us the most is that, when we told them that breakfast was late, they started giving excuses like there are other customers who had early checkouts and requested breakfast early. It shows that they have prioritised other customers over us, without explaining why. They tried arguing and giving excuses before even performing their service or apologising. I hesitate to call this customer service. The least they could do was to apologise at first opportunity and make up for it, but this did not happen. What's worse? We paid more than 500 euros per night! So think twice before you book this place.

La ubicación es excelente, en pleno centro, con preciosas vistas desde la puerta. Las habitaciones son amplias y están totalmente equipadas, con una decoración y un diseño muy bonitos. El único inconveniente es el baño pequeño, donde podrías golpearte la cabeza. El personal fue muy atento, respondiendo a los mensajes con rapidez e incluso ayudando con el equipaje. La casa de la ciudad se encuentra en la calle de la noche, pero la casa le ofrece una vista de techo impresionante a la gente. La piscina / spa abajo estaba muy agradable pero no esperar privacidad. Hotel inside very nice and clean, you have the welcome wine on table. Thanks a lot! Staff are helpful and nice. Location not as good as you think, if you don’t have car or pickup services that’s very inconvenient. Hotels inside, the roads terrain extremely high, steep hills almost 45 degrees that if walking that is very danger or inconvenient, must walk slowly. There have 2 restaurants closer, has one just opposite the hotel, another one where you need to walk about 10-15 minutes from the hotel front door. Mykonos all roads very narrow, when u cross over the road must pay 100% attention!

This is place that you will love when summer time. But for now, is too cold and I can't enjoy the period that jump into the pool because is toooooo cold and windy. Also, no matter where you need to go, you have to rent a car no matter what. There is no Public Transport from here (Maybe you need to walk few mile to a bus stop) For those going to Europe at the 1st time MUST take not. You need to keep contact with the owner or staff before arrive. There are no check in counter most of the time and they no longer waiting you there if you are not check in from 8am-5pm or 6pm.
