This is a duplicate of my review for dates from 6 to 8 June 2026, as I extended my stay for one night. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel and would happily stay here again. The location is excellent. It's right next to the metro, directly across the road from China City Mall, and within easy walking distance of Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street, the waterfront and the ferry wharf. It made exploring Xiamen incredibly easy. The staff were consistently helpful and efficient. They obtained information about the Xiamen-Kinmen ferry, which was greatly appreciated. The breakfast restaurant staff deserve special mention as they were always friendly, welcoming and genuinely seemed pleased to see their guests each morning. The room itself was lovely. The bed was extremely comfortable, the bathroom was excellent and while I didn't use the bath, the shower was very good. The hotel also has a nice swimming pool, gym and lounge area, all of which added to the overall experience. Breakfast was good, with plenty of choices, both Asian and Western, and a pleasant atmosphere. I only intended to stay a short time, but enjoyed both the hotel and Xiamen enough that I extended my stay by an extra night. From my room I had good views, including Zheng Chenggong's statue on Gulangyu Island and Xiamen's Twin Towers in the distance. This hotel certainly helped make my stay in Xiamen an enjoyable one. I left with very positive memories and would gladly stay here again.

From the moment we arrived, we knew we were in for a treat. **Location & Presence:** You absolutely cannot miss this property—it is one of the tallest buildings in the surrounding area, making it a prominent landmark on the skyline and incredibly easy to find or navigate back to after a long day of exploring. **The Room & Views:** We were lucky enough to have room with a seaview, and it completely stole the show. Waking up every morning right from our window was a breathtaking experience. The room itself was immaculate, spacious, and perfectly designed to frame the gorgeous coastal backdrop. **The Service & Hospitality:** What truly sets this hotel apart, however, is the customer service. The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Our host was an absolute gem—incredibly knowledgeable, warm, and passionate about the local area. They provided us with fantastic, insider recommendations, historical context, and transit tips that completely elevated our travel itinerary. It felt like having a personal local guide right at the front desk. **The Breakfast:** Do not skip the breakfast! The morning buffet was great. Instead of the standard, uninspired continental fare, this hotel curates an incredible spread that allows you to sample a massive variety of authentic local dishes in one convenient stop. It was the perfect, delicious introduction to the regional flavors without having to hunt down multiple street vendors or cafes.

Hotel cinco estrellas estilo antigua escuela. Habitación extremadamente grande y decentemente mantenida. Sin embargo, la ubicación no es la mejor para caminar. Nice location and nice service, I received a free room upgrade. They told me I booked a room without a window and took me to a better room with a terrace balcony. The breakfast was so cute, shaped like a chinese man. It was my first hotel and my first breakfast in China, so very good experience!

Las habitaciones son enormes; ¡parece que cuatro personas podrían dormir cómodamente en una cama doble! Nada mal, ¿verdad? ¡El precio es bastante razonable para un hotel entre semana!

The biggest issue is that when breakfast time at 8am seat is enough but food some how left 20% and could.not recover fast enough ....so not much choice of food was given 2nd the restaurant in the hotel dont operate on monday n tuesday and I dont understand why ...it's actually causes us to.run out for other places to.eat

La vista al mar del hotel es realmente buena y las instalaciones están bien mantenidas. Me he alojado en varios Hualux y este Hualux tiene un buen desayuno. El equipo de recepción, especialmente Ruby, es el mejor gerente que he visto.

We had a wonderful few days stay. The receptionist (Tina) provided us with a room with a nicer view of the bay. Unfortunately, executive benefits are not what they used to be. Trip and the guide in the room still show the full range, but in many cases this is outdated information. Nevertheless, the hospitality is particularly high in this hotel. Special thanks also to the cleaning lady. Very alert to clean the room during breakfast and to provide plenty of extra water.
