The best will be the Kid's Club and their staff. Nicely decorated (unfortunately many activities no longer available)
Swimming Pool is relatively small for an international hotel.
Beds quality is good, room size is excellent.
The worst and the major letdown = the breakfast buffet.
Everything from pastry, roti pratha, desserts, and even the Ikan bilis is terrible quality (most of it is hard to chew, tasteless and rubbery, hard and tough)

We had such a wonderful stay at PARKROYAL Melaka, one of the best family hotels in Malaysia IMHO.
First of all, there is plenty of parking, which already makes things so convenient for families driving in. From the moment we arrived, the guest services at the counter were so pleasant and welcoming.
The swimming pool is fantastic for families. It’s large, well-designed, and the slides were a hit with the kids. They absolutely loved it. The beds were very comfortable, which made resting after long days so enjoyable.
Breakfast was really good, extremely diverse with plenty of choices. Everything was delicious. The croissants were beautifully baked and so fresh. The kids loved them so much. Special shoutout to the teh tarik abang, always smiling and courteous, we loved the teh tarik “pulling” show for guests who wanted it. It was such an enjoyable touch during breakfast. Please give him a raise! He truly added to the experience.
The vending machine stocked with medicines was also an interesting and thoughtful touch.
That said, I do have a few suggestions that could make the experience even better:
1. Not enough lounge chairs by the pool.
There are plenty of open spaces, but very few proper lounge chairs. The gazebos fill up very quickly, leaving guests with upright dining-style chairs instead of relaxing pool loungers. Adding more lounge chairs would greatly improve the pool experience.
2. Pool music in the AM and till after lunch was unnecessarily loud. The volume was quite high and gave me a headache. I had to approach the staff a few times to lower it. While they did reduce it, it was still quite loud. The music selection (DANGDUT (why??) techno/rave style) was cringe and felt more club-like rather than relaxing. Since there are children and elderly guests around, a calmer playlist at a lower volume would be better (?). In fact, kill the music, guest wants to relax.
3. Gym etiquette enforcement.
The gym itself is good, but I noticed guests walking in straight from the pool in wet clothes and barefoot to use the equipment. This isn’t very safe. Clear “Do’s and Don’ts” signage or some monitoring would help.
4. Stricter swim attire rules at the pool.
Some guests were swimming in T-shirts instead of proper swimwear. It would be better to enforce proper swim attire for hygiene and overall pool standards.
5. Anti-slip mats in bathrooms.
The bathroom floor can get quite slippery when wet. Providing anti-slip mats would improve safety, especially for children and elderly guests.
6. Add more pool tables please!
Overall, despite these small areas for improvement, we truly loved our stay. It remains one of the best family-friendly hotels in Malaysia, and we would definitely return.

Nice stay overall, however there were a couple of areas that disappointed us.
Breakfast used Buttercup margarine instead of butter. I understand some guests may prefer it, but it was really not to my taste.
We requested two additional bottles of water, and the next day asked for another two. We were told we had already “claimed” our allocation and would need to pay for more. We were asking for a normal amount, not excessive quantities.
These small issues affected the experience, and unfortunately we may consider other options for our next stay.

UUsuario invitadoI decided to stay at this hotel for the second time due to its convenient location and affordable online booking rate at Trip booking. There are Mc D behind n the restaurants also reachable, I mean within walking distance. The staff are very friendly , the room is clean , well decorated n the facilities are well maintained. The staff attended n response to our complaints immediately.Late check out with affordable price. Have complimentary drinks served at d lobby. However , the quality of the room door needs to be improved .

UUsuario invitadoView from the 25th floor is beautiful. Be prepared to wait at least 20 minutes for the lifts though. This block seems to serve mainly visitors, and we waited more than 30 minutes for a lift to bring us down as its fully packed during check out time between 11am to 12pm. Ended up walking down the stairs from 25th floor, and we were faster than the lift while lugging along 2 luggages.
UUsuario anónimoI extended my stay for one night and both my parents and my room key card kept deactivating for several times. Imagine you need to walk all the way to the lift, realised the card is not working, then walk back to the reception to keep validating your room card. I've went to the reception the night before original check out to inform the staff. And furthermore when I am out sightseeing during the day, someone called me to confirm I am extending my stay, yet the card still kept deactivating.
Housekeeping is also not done when we returned to the room at 3.30pm. We need to request them to come and it delayed our shower and our subsequent plans. Not only that, they took away the toilet mat and did not replace it and we need to call housekeeping again and wait for it to be replaced before we can take a shower. There is also a leak in the bathroom so the entire housekeeping and pipe fixing took really long.
The cleaning of the pool is also done in the morning at 8.30am after it is opened, while the pool closes at 8pm at night.
All the staff are nice and trying their best, but it looks like they are understaffed and could not perform their required duties as housekeeping is not done in time and the pool is cleaned during opening times.
For the price charged and their rating as a 5 star hotel, the amenities and service just doesn't match. I would not recommend.
CCY_A very new hotel with very comfortable spacious rooms and is situated within the Portuguese settlement. My visit was during Christmas time so there were a lot of celebrations going on, adding to the atmosphere.
The visitor before me used the fridge for durians, and I could not use the fridge throughout my stay due to the smell. The stamps were very polite to ask me about my visit however there were no immediate rectification or solutions provided. Maintenance will be an issue if not taken care of well.
