A Peaceful Escape with Stunning Views! We spent a night at Amafu Forest Lodge as a stopover on our way to the Kruger National Park via Orpen Gate, after a long but wonderful day exploring the Panorama Route. What a lovely place to unwind! The lodge is beautifully situated, surrounded by nature, with absolutely breathtaking views over the Lowveld. The atmosphere was incredibly peaceful and quiet, making it the perfect place to relax and recharge before continuing our journey. One of the highlights of our stay was hearing hyenas and lions calling during the night from a nearby wildlife rehabilitation centre. Such a unique and memorable experience that really added to the feeling of being in the African bush! We stayed in one of the tented accommodations, which added a lovely rustic, outdoorsy feel to the experience. All in all, a wonderful and peaceful stopover with spectacular scenery and a real connection to nature. We would definitely recommend Amafu Forest Lodge to anyone travelling along the Panorama Route or heading towards Kruger National Park. We would happily stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay. Although the room we booked wasn't available, we were upgraded at no additional charge. The accommodations were very clean, and the staff was friendly. The surroundings were beautiful and peaceful.
