Overall Experience: ⭐⭐⭐⭐½ (4.5/5) Overall, I had a very pleasant stay at Citadines Tanjung Tokong. The check-in process at Level 2 was smooth and fast, with excellent service from all staff members. No deposit was required, which made the process even more convenient. The room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. The bed and pillows were soft and provided a good night’s sleep. The room was well-equipped with two air-conditioning units (bedroom and kitchen area), Smart TV, ironing facilities, refrigerator, work desk, dining table and sufficient power outlets. The bathroom was spotless with strong water pressure and consistent hot and cold water temperature. Toiletries and towels were fully provided. Hotel facilities were great. The swimming pool on Level 15 offers a nice city and bay view. A gym, washing machines, vending machines and towels are also available. WiFi speed was fast and suitable for work purposes. Elevators were fast, clean and comfortable. Minor downsides include some noise from traffic and ambulance sirens, as well as a slightly slow automated parking system during peak hours. The location is very convenient with easy access to food and nearby stores such as 99 Speedmart, Lotus’s and Happy Mart. Overall, this hotel offers excellent value for money under RM500. Staff was very proactive with all communications via WhatsApp from pre-check in, daily welfare check on guest and post-check out for feedback! I had some difficulty with my luggage and even though it’s my own issue, the staff did his best and assisted me all the way through! Location of the accommodation is very much within walking distance of local food (dim sum & Bak kut teh) and international options like McDonalds, Starbucks, KFC, etc. A sizable mall is also across the road that has a nice supermarket, cafes, Mr DIY, Guardian, etc. View from 19th floor was amazing and I’m very satisfied with the room’s amenities and facilities like the microwave oven, kettle, ceiling fans, air condition, shower, beds, etc. would love to be back if I’m ever in Penang again!

9박이라서 중간에 숙박지를 변경하고 싶어서 트립닷컴에 중재 요청을 했으나 호스트릐 거절로 연박함. 중간에 호스트에게 요청하여 청소를 한번 할수 있었다. 침대보와 베개, 타롤 교환이 모두 유료이며 생수 제공이 없다. 고가도로 주변이여서 밤에 시끄럽다. 호스트의 적극적인 개선 대책이 필요하다.

Hotel relativamente nuevo en una ubicación céntrica, a unos 10 minutos a pie de KOMTAR y prácticamente al lado del mercado Cecil, con fácil acceso a puestos de comida ambulante. También hay buenos bares cerca. La habitación era un poco pequeña en comparación con otros hoteles de Malasia, pero no agobiante. Bien distribuida, con suficiente espacio para caminar y una zona para descargar el equipaje. La habitación no tiene ventana, sino una especie de tragaluz para dejar entrar la luz.

Safe as there a friendly and efficient security not only safe guard the entrance of property but he also taking care of checking-in and out and also assist to manage any simple enquires. Nearby have 7-11 and seafood restaurant. Nearby malls too. Downside of the property is noisy, night time can hear shouting and screaming kids, inide unit need some refurbish. Love the view from the balcony, can see Penang bridge and beautiful sunrise. Afterall, for the price we paid, we should not ask for much, it is still a money for value stay.

Self check in. Instructions and key box code were sent by email. No issues. Room was basic but clean. Stairs to loft bed have no railing so your balance has to be okay. What I liked: it’s very near the beach (but be careful going down the steep steps with a rusting and questionable guardrail). And it’s also a minute’s walk from the nearby food place with many affordable options for dinner. Not far from the bus stop. Penang’s bus services are not bad. What I didn’t like: the positions of the room lighting are poor, including the bathroom where the opaque shower curtain blocks the bathroom light, and the loft where the bare bulb is right above your head and glows even when off. I unscrewed the bulb in order to stop that. Also, not many breakfast options nearby. Music from a nearby nightspot could be heard along with some firecracker type noises some nights, but these died down by about 10pm so not a problem for me. In all, I would rate this place a solid 4/5 and I wouldn’t mind staying here again.
