One reason for choosing Wanda Moments was to see the views of the mountains from the rooftop but it was so so. The mountain view from the room window is awesome. Another reason is for the Oxygen supply in the room but it was so confusing. We couldn’t understand what the staff is saying. We don’t understand why only one guest get the oxygen supply. The young guys at the reception were not helpful and were hesitant to go up to the room to assist us. Our stay was all in all hectic, going up and down to get assistance. For tourists from out of China, be warned that the food serving is huge. Rice came in a huge portion, soup in a huge bowl. It was sad to see them go to waste. Perhaps the hotel can tailor the menu down to smaller portions.

From the moment we arrived, the staff’s hospitality and service were not just comparable to world-class 5-star hotels in many ways, they exceeded them. As a non-Chinese speaking guest, I was a little nervous at first, but the team went above and beyond to make me feel completely at ease. Their cheerful smiles and genuine warmth were so heartwarming. What touched me the most? They constantly checked on my fiancée, who is vegetarian, making sure she had wonderful options at every meal. Seeing that level of care for her meant the world to me. They even carried my heavy luggage to the room❤️ Activities (both paid and free): They have horseback riding with the on-site coach – highly recommend (yes, it's a paid service). For free activities, there’s a giant swing (reminiscent of the one in Kalajun Grassland), archery, and the most beautiful, calm animals: two incredibly cute lambs, a cow, several horses, and the sweetest little dog who will greet you. If you’re nervous around animals, don’t worry – they are the chillest, calmest creatures and will only approach if you call them. Food: 10/10. My fiancée said it was the best meal she had in all of Xinjiang. Cooked by the wonderful Ah Po and Ah Gong, every dish felt like a loving home-cooked meal made by grandparents. There’s also an adorable cafe hut (though we didn’t get coffee – we were too busy being in awe of everything around us). Room standards: This is where they truly shine. Air conditioning, heater, soft comfy bed, overhead curtains to open or close for stargazing, fridge, hairdryer, lighted mirror, heated toilet – and spotlessly clean. We slept like a baby. And finally… stargazing. This is exactly why I chose this place. We stayed up until 3 AM, completely mesmerized by a sky full of stars like I’ve never seen before. Though there’s a laundry room available, the owner personally helped me iron them, refusing any payment. That small act of kindness stayed with me. We’ve stayed in many retreats claiming to offer luxury, but this place redefines what true luxury means. Here, you pay a 3-star rate and receive a 5-star experience in comfort, sincerity, and service. The rooms are cleaned daily with meticulous attention to detail — we were even touched to find our own tea and coffee sachets neatly arranged by housekeeping. Meals were another highlight. The food has that unmistakable home-cooked feel — warm, nourishing, made with care. When they learned I don’t eat beef or mutton, the kitchen prepared special dishes just for me, without a fuss. That kind of consideration is rare and deeply appreciated. And how could I forget Tian Tian — the gentle, lovable golden retriever who quietly added to the homey atmosphere. Her presence made the stay even more special, like having a sweet companion always nearby. MuseNomad Retreat isn’t just a place to stay — it’s a place to truly rest. Of all the accommodations we’ve experienced across our travels, this one touched us the most. As our three nights came to a close, I felt a genuine sadness — a quiet wish that we could stay just a little longer. I had such a wonderful stay here and truly want to thank all of the staff for making my trip so special. First of all, the hospitality was beyond amazing. As a foreigner who cannot speak Chinese at all, I was honestly a little nervous at first. However, every staff member tried their best to help and welcome me warmly, which touched me deeply. I would especially like to thank a staff member named Yi. She was the only person who could communicate with me fluently in English, and she helped me with absolutely everything during my stay. Because of her kindness, I never once felt uncomfortable or isolated here despite the language barrier. I would honestly give her 10000/100! The accommodation itself was also excellent. The room was very clean, cozy, and fully equipped with everything I needed. The bed was incredibly soft and comfortable, and the peaceful atmosphere allowed me to rest perfectly every night. Another thing I loved was the variety of activities offered here. Everything was amazing , horseback riding, delicious hot pot meals, and even professional photography sessions. It was my first time riding a horse, so I felt a little nervous at the beginning, but the staff took such good care of me and made me feel safe and comfortable throughout the experience. Most importantly, I was deeply impressed by the culture here. It felt so warm and heartfelt. I truly love your culture. At night, there was a campfire gathering where local staff sang songs and danced together. It was such a joyful and unforgettable experience for me. In conclusion, if I ever visit Xinjiang again, I will definitely come back and stay here. Thank you so much to every staff member for your hard work and kindness. We booked the guest rooms, which are actually a “盲盒” concept where you get whichever room is available upon check-in. Luckily, we were upgraded to wooden cabins with two rooms each. Since I booked 3 rooms, they arranged 2 wooden cabins for us. Each cabin came with two independent bedrooms with attached bathrooms, plus a shared living room. We absolutely loved it because we could gather and spend time together in the living room. We even had steamboat there one evening, which made the stay feel extra cozy, lovely, and convenient. There was also a huge open area in front of the cabins, but unfortunately the wind during our stay was too strong for us to sit outside. In the evening, sheep were grazing right outside our unit. On good weather days, you can even see Sayram Lake and the snow mountains directly from the cabin, which was really beautiful. The cabins are spread across a large area, so you do need to walk to your unit, but the pathways are properly paved and easy to walk on. Our cabin was about 200m from the car park. Special shoutout to the staff, Hemu and Dan Ni Er, who were extremely helpful. They used their small transport buggy to help move our luggage during check-in and check-out. Since we were travelling with elderly family members who had difficulty walking, they also kindly gave them rides to and from the cabin, which we truly appreciated. Highly recommended for those looking for a different and more memorable experience compared to a normal hotel stay.

An amazing stay in a picturesque location. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. The accomodation was both spacious and cosy, and despite the temperature falling to -15°C we never felt cold ever in our tent. The food options were delicious and honestly one of the highlights of our stay. Everything was provided with a smile by the diligent staff, whom despite our language barrier did their best to cater to our needs. The view alone is enough to make us want to return to this place. Our stay at Shejing Homestay was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcomed. Every single staff member was friendly, warm, and always ready to help with a smile. Their genuine hospitality made us feel right at home. A special thank you to the boss as well, whose care and dedication can be seen in every detail of the homestay. It is clear that a lot of heart has gone into creating such a beautiful and welcoming place. The property itself is absolutely stunning. Every morning, I woke up in awe of the breathtaking views and peaceful surroundings. some of my favorite memories will be the heavenly scent of lavender drifting outside our room, the sound of the river and the beautiful sunset. The room was comfortable, cozy, and thoughtfully maintained. Waking up each morning to such beautiful scenery felt like a dream. As our stay comes to an end, I feel genuinely sad to leave. It feels like I've left a piece of my heart here. The warmth of the people, the beauty of the place, and the unforgettable memories we've made will stay with us for a long time. Thank you to the boss and the entire team for making our stay so special. I would wholeheartedly recommend Shejing Homestay to anyone visiting the area, and I hope to return again one day.
