Xining is a fantastic, vibrant city, and my biggest regret is not staying longer; it deserves way more time than just a quick transit stop thanks to its incredible food scene, night markets, and laid-back vibe. During my visit, I stayed at LETE Hostel, which serves as a solid, character-rich base for exploring the region. The top-floor communal space has real history and soul, beautifully flooded with sunlight, packed with green plants, a massive library, and even three cute resident birds. The ladies at the front desk are incredibly kind-hearted and welcoming, always doing their best to help out. Location-wise, it’s perfect - super convenient for the night markets, local food stalls, and bus stops, plus they offer safe bike storage for cyclists. For the price of a private room, the value and hospitality here are unbeatable, and I would absolutely stay again - and next time, I’ll be giving Xining the full week it deserves.

Visiting Qinghai Lake last week was nothing short of magical. The moment I arrived, I was blown away by the endless blue waters stretching into the horizon, framed by rolling grasslands and distant snow-capped mountains. The scenery is simply unreal; every angle looks like a postcard. I especially loved cycling along the lakeshore at sunrise; the crisp air, golden light, and mirror-like reflections made it an unforgettable experience. The facilities exceeded my expectations. The visitor center was modern and well-organized, restrooms were clean, and there were plenty of clearly marked viewing platforms and rest areas. The lakeside boardwalks made it easy to soak in the views without disturbing the natural landscape. The service was warm and genuinely hospitable. Staff members were friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to share tips about the best photo spots and local ******* culture. Even the local vendors and guides were welcoming and professional. I highly recommend Qinghai Lake to anyone seeking a peaceful escape into raw natural beauty. I can't wait to return!

Loved this place so much! True it is a bit far from the city center, around 4 hour drive but you can stop to the famous chaerhan salt lake on the way. I was torn between the many options they had. Decided finally on the white chalets overlooking the Yadan park😍 absolutely worth it! Best decision.. The slide and swimming pool were closed. Maybe because of the cold season. No idea Dear guests if you are considering this stay keep in mind that there isn’t any didi to take you back nor will the hotel arrange one for you. So make sure you arrange your transportation right. The hotel offers shuttle car to move around the hotel but they reply a bit late.. keep that in mind too. And i wished they had their wechat contact on here because it was hard to reach the hotel via email before arriving. Got no response..

Como persona que me he alojado en hoteles durante mucho tiempo, siento que este hotel me aporta mucha calidez. porque. El clima ha estado frío recientemente. Yo también estaba resfriado. Cuando entré, la recepción me sirvió un vaso de agua de pera. Luego fui a la habitación para ver que tenía miedo del clima seco y me dieron un humidificador. Además, la habitación que me dieron era bastante espaciosa y era muy cómoda para pasar la noche. La vista nocturna también es excelente. Hay un hospital al lado y hay una calle de bocadillos frente al hotel, lo cual es genial.

Shangde Nyima is an excellent hotel! Every staff is so kind, genuine and helpful! The rooms are warm, clean and so comfortable for people like us not suited for the harsh climate. Mr Chodak the manager is a wonderful man and the front desk staff have a lot of initiative and always tried their best to help us. Most of all, we love the kitchen crew - Tsering, Sonam, Tashi and young Sonam… they prepared delicious food (what we had was ‘zimbuduk’) for us. Tujiche, Shangde Nyima! We will miss you but we will return to see all of you again!❤️

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The towels provided were damp, and the replacement towels were also damp. The hotel explained that they do not have a dryer capable of fully drying laundered items, which appears to be the reason the towels were not completely dry.

Great location, about 4.5km away from 二郎剑 entrance. The rooms are clean and spacious and come equipped with heated flooring. Parking lots are limited on the main entry ground floor.
