UUsuario invitadoGet this hotel!!! We were supposed to stay for a night and then decide what to do - we ended up staying 3 nights and were very sad to leave.
Every so often when you travel your hotel experience significantly improved your holiday - this was one of those cases! First of all the basics, we were looking for a nice family friendly hotel walking distance from the beach - and this certainly fit that category. The rooms are fine, you could see the sea from the windows, comfortable beds, pretty clean, slippers, plenty of towels, wifi everywhere etc. There was also a small playground for small kids and hammocks (picture) etc which was cool, we also saw mahjong tables, but didn't have the time to play.
The hotel is located near a fairly large field, filled with exotic birds, butterflies and crickets etc. There were also geckos everywhere (love them), but we didn't see any inside the room. There were some mosquitos outside on the terrace (don't love them), but the repellent took care of those and we didn't have any in our rooms. Felt like you were near nature, in a good way.
The kids loved to play on the beach, it's great for sand castles (the hotel had buckets and shovels free of charge) and searching for crabs, fish, shells, sea snails etc... The moms loved it too, especially to walk around and explore during low tide. (the hotel also provided equipment to catch crabs and other sea creatures etc if you wanted to - they also had a service to cook them for you) We especially enjoyed playing under a nearby pier during low tide to avoid getting badly sunburned.
The supermarket across the street sell dozens of single malt whiskys and beer from all over the world (they also have ice cream and other stuff) - and the dads recommend the roof terrace for that after the kids are asleep. (picture)
If you know how to ride a scooter/ebike they rent them across the road too, and it's the best way to explore the island. The small roads (almost devoid of cars) were awesome to drive on, just remember to stay safe.
I don't usually care much about breakfast, but the included breakfast was great! (picture) The kitchen staff was also super laid-back about the whole thing - this whole hotel radiated a very laid back tropical island feel that made you forget you were in China.
However the reason I write this review is because of the owner. (last picture) (I'm not sure if he speaks English though, but I'm sure you'll manage) Super chill guy! Immediately after booking he contacted us to arrange the transport from the boat. He helped us buy tickets for the trip back. He was willing to come and pick us up at any time if we got lost on the island. He had great recommendations about basically everything, and whenever we made plans we were sure to ask for his advice. He was basically always reachable over wechat too.
These are just some of the things that he didn't have to provide, but did (or offered): unlimited cold drinking water, ice, proper glasses, a coffee grinder, buckets, shovels, hats, umbrellas, sunscreen, aloe vera plants, flashlights, mosquito repellent etc etc and it feels like we only scratched the surface. It feels like whenever I asked him for something he always had a solution that exceeded my expectations. Great host!
I've traveled to almost 100 countries and while this wasn't the fanciest hotel I've stayed in by any means, this was one of the most memorable hotel experiences I've ever had. If anyone I know plans to visit this island I will for sure recommend this place.

Yyumi ChonhLlegamos justo para el 1 de mayo, y el viaje en tren de alta velocidad ya había durado dos horas y media debido al tráfico. Había muchísima gente y no podíamos movernos en el coche una vez llegamos. Dejamos las maletas y salimos a explorar hasta medianoche. ¡Hay tantas cosas que ver y comprar aquí que es increíble! La panadería de al lado es deliciosa, parece que todo lo que hacen está riquísimo. El desayuno del hotel es muy completo y el personal es muy amable. Si vienes a Yangshuo, no puedes irte sin probar el pescado a la cerveza con youtiao (buñuelos chinos). La salsa del pescado a la cerveza es increíble, ¡no dejé ni una gota! 😂

GGan Yung ChyanI arrived in Guilin from Kunming late after 12 am and there is no tourist information counter staff at the airport to tell me where to wait for the hotel's airport transfer driver. Fortunately an airline check-in counter officer helped me call the hotel to find out where to wait for the driver. Please note wait for the driver next to the police kiosk after leaving Gate 6 of the domestic arrival terminal and crossing the lane. It took me 15 minutes to identify the driver because the driver did not show the placard showing the hotel name Shanshuiyunshang Hotel. The driver was impatiently waiting for a foreign tourist. So I identified myself as a Singaporean looking for the transfer driver of the hotel. He replied that I can follow him, who did not declare the hotel's name. Thank God he brought a group of tourists and me to Shanshuiyunshang Hotel to check-in. I also thank God that the driver escorts me to the Airport Flower Field, which is 569 metres away from the hotel, for plane-spotting, and I walk back to the hotel within 10 minutes to check-out of the hotel for my outgoing trip from Guilin after completing my plane-spotting mission. Other than the hotel airport transfer driver, there is the odour of smoke in the room but I have to bear with it until I leave and I cannot access the hotel wifi by scanning the QR code. The hotel restaurant is very small but dragonfruit is served and the breakfast amount is sufficient to fill my hunger. Shanshuiyunshang Hotel is one of several hotels along the road of Liangjiang Town that has accommodation for tourists but this hotel is the only one in Liangjiang Town to be listed on Trip.com. I will stay here again for the purpose of plane-spotting in Liangjiang Town, the famous airport town of Guangxi.

CChandler-B¡Qué grata sorpresa fue alojarse en Zhuchuang Xiyu esta vez en Yangshuo! El hotel está justo a la orilla del río Yulong, la ubicación es excelente, muy conveniente para visitar las atracciones cercanas y, a la vez, tranquilo y sin ruidos. El estilo general es de retiro zen, con un entorno sereno, rodeado de montañas verdes y aguas cristalinas; cualquier foto que tomes parece un cuadro. Lo que más recomiendo son sus tratamientos capilares y las terapias de meditación y拍 (pá), después de los cuales te sientes completamente relajado, el cansancio desaparece, es muy desestresante y confortable. El servicio es atento y detallado, fue un verdadero viaje de curación para el cuerpo y la mente. ¡La próxima vez que venga a Yangshuo, volveré a elegir este lugar!

UUsuario invitado¡Este hotel superó mis expectativas para un viaje con amigos! Abrir la ventana y ver las espectaculares montañas de Yangshuo fue increíble. La habitación estaba muy limpia y las instalaciones eran completas y geniales. El personal fue extremadamente amable y atento, y el desayuno estaba delicioso. Por las noches, nos ofrecían fideos de ”buenas noches” calientes, ¡y también había una merienda riquísima! Estos pequeños detalles realmente marcan la diferencia. El entorno es muy tranquilo, rodeado de montañas y agua, perfecto para que las parejas disfruten de unas vacaciones relajadas. Además, ¡es un lugar ideal para tomar fotos! ¡Perfecto para chicas! Y para ir en balsa de bambú, ¡está súper cerca! Solo un corto viaje en taxi. También se puede ver el río Li con sus balsas de bambú dando un paseo por los alrededores.

UUsuario invitadoThis place has hands down been the most memorable stay we have ever had! As a couple traveling for the first time in China, Yukong, his family, and friends gave us a feeling of home and took care of us in a way we never experienced from a homestay.
The house itself is build by Yukong's grandparents 70 years ago, and is placed in the middle of a Kiwi farm on the mountains outside Leye city. We shared great meals together every night in front of the fireplace with the boiling soup bowl at the center. Friends and family of the house even cared for bringing all sorts of classical Chinese instruments to the house to play traditional folk music for us - something we will never forget! Together we sang karaoke, drank rice wine, laughed and had great talks, despite of the language barrier. One could tell that our well being mattered to all of them, and that they wanted us to experience and understand their culture.
Yukong and his brother even joined us for a hike in the nearby geopark and helped us with litterarly everything regarding planning and activities (which was so helpful, as none of us speaks Chinese). They took so much time off their hands to help us getting around and showed us the most wonderful local tourist attractions and great places to eat. The area has a lot to offer, and we were amazed that we seemed to have it all to ourselves.
If you are in Guangxi, or anywhere else in China, for that matter, do yourself a favor and book a stay here. It is something you will remember for a long time. The nature, the culture, and especially the family you are gonna stay with, are wonderful.

SShangshanzhichengReseña: Investigué un poco antes y encontré esta casa de huéspedes en Ctrip. Tenía una vista estupenda, artículos de aseo desechables y el precio de la habitación era razonable. Después de reservar, agregué a la dueña a WeChat para preguntar sobre el clima, la hora de llegada y la distancia al mirador. Está muy cerca de los miradores 1 y 2. La casa de huéspedes tiene un restaurante en la planta baja, y la dueña cocina toda la comida ella misma; ¡está deliciosa!

MMooMoooo¿Qué puedo decir? ¡INCREÍBLE! Nos quedamos aquí dos noches y disfrutamos de las dos. Desde el primer momento en que nos registramos, la señora que nos registró nos ayudó con nuestra maleta, ¡y son grandes! (Tenga en cuenta que no hay ascensor). A la señora que trabaja de noche y prepara nuestro delicioso desayuno por la mañana, ¡gracias! Ambos somos vegetarianos, así que siempre estaba pendiente de que pudiéramos comer. Fue muy amable, nos habló y nos dijo qué era agradable para explorar o jugar, ¡y se aseguró de que tuviéramos suficiente comida para comer! El último día, cuando tuvimos que marcharnos temprano porque teníamos que coger el crucero por el río Li, se aseguró de que tuviéramos comida para comer y de que pudiéramos llevarla en el barco para comer también. ¡Fue muy atenta!
La ubicación está sobre el puente a unos 10 minutos a pie de la calle peatonal ZhengYang. Prefiero este lugar porque es más tranquilo que la calle principal. Además, no está tan lejos, con solo 10 minutos a pie a lo largo del río llegarás a la mayoría de los lugares.
También me encantó la decoración del hotel, tiene todo lo que necesitas. Nos ofrecieron un refrigerio gratis, ¡y también probamos algunos! Es bueno probar los bocadillos locales, que terminamos comprando cuando los vimos, jajaja. También puedes subir a la azotea, que ofrece una vista de 360 grados, especialmente la vista del río Li en un día agradable, ¡vale la pena!
Por último, mi madre dejó algunas de sus pertenencias en el hotel y se olvidó de empaquetarlas cuando nos marchamos. Las enviaron por mensajería a nuestro próximo hotel en Yangshou, lo cual es muy considerado de su parte. En general, definitivamente recomendaría a cualquiera que quiera alojarse aquí.
