I can’t say enough good things about my stay at this incredible homestay on Dongshan Island—it’s hands down one of the best accommodation experiences I’ve ever had, and I’m already counting down the days until I can come back. From the breathtaking sea views to the thoughtful, attentive service, every single detail made my trip unforgettable, and I’m so glad I chose this homestay for my island getaway. First and foremost, the seaview here is absolutely stunning, beyond anything I could have imagined. The homestay boasts an unbeatable location with unobstructed views of the endless blue sea, and I spent every spare moment just admiring the ocean, both morning and night. Waking up early to watch the soft golden sunrise glisten over the water, with gentle waves lapping against the shore, was the most peaceful way to start each day. As the sun set, the sky painted itself in warm hues of orange and pink, reflecting beautifully on the sea, creating a romantic and serene scene that took my breath away. Even at night, the quiet glow of the moon on the water and the soft sound of waves made the view just as magical. I took countless beautiful photos during my stay, and every snapshot perfectly captures the mesmerizing beauty of this place—no filter could ever do the real scenery justice. What surprised me most is that the homestay is even more beautiful in person than the online photos. When I booked the room online, the pictures looked lovely, but I didn’t expect the actual space to exceed my expectations by such a large margin. The interior is cozy, clean, and tastefully decorated, with large windows that frame the sea like a living painting. Every corner of the homestay is well-maintained, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. Si vuelvo a Quanzhou, sin duda elegiré de nuevo el hotel Citywell. La comida del restaurante es muy sabrosa y tiene una buena relación calidad-precio; incluso te dan guarniciones y verduras de la huerta gratis. También ofrecen tés de hojas sueltas gratis (5 o 6 opciones de la finca, según tengo entendido; muy ricos). Es una pena que las tazas y los vasos sean de plástico desechable por comodidad; poner agua hirviendo en plástico no es lo ideal hoy en día. Las salas de té son muy elegantes, pero por lo que entiendo, son básicamente salas de degustación para clientes que desean comprar té, lo cual puede resultar un poco confuso si solo quieres tomar té, no necesariamente comprarlo (y mucho menos al por mayor). El personal es amable, pero no habla inglés, lo que limita la comunicación a transacciones monetarias. Esperaba un mapa de la zona turística, indicaciones para llegar a la parada de autobús, consejos sobre qué visitar en el parque, etc., pero en general lo averigüé por mi cuenta. La habitación es muy cómoda y la zona es impresionante; no te pierdas el espectáculo Impressions Dahongpao y, por supuesto, las vistas panorámicas del parque.

Love the warmth given by the innkeepers. Being invited to join the local culture of tea drinking (or tea sipping) from morning until night is such a fun time for us. We got to chit chat, exchange knowledge and cultures. Love it. Will revisit.

I traveled to Xiamen during the Chinese spring service with my dog and took a day trip to Kinmen Island, Taiwan, just off the coast. This hotel was in fact an apartment building with several management companies renting out rooms on various floors. Overall the building was in a horrendous state of disrepair. Initially, the front desk tried to put me into a room on the sixth floor which looked like a scene from a horror movie... Stains on floor, walls, dirt and garbage everywhere....I asked if this is the same room I booked and another female staff member moved me to the 9 th floor which was at least clean and updated, in the hall. The room was ok, and bed comfortable, but I've never stayed in a hotel that put sheets directly on the mattress without a minimal pad between... Luckily no bed bugs. The room had 3 out of 8 working lightbulbs so it was very dark. The heater didn't warm up the room even at max level running all day. Everything was old and dingy... Nothing like the photos I had no TV or Internet service the first day until I asked for it to be repaired. Overall, no maintenance is the problem.. But at least the woman at the front desk was helpful and kind That only real redeeming quality of the room was the view... But the window was so dirty, it was mostly obscured.

A peaceful place to chill and relax. Very pretty, clean, modern interior and nice smelling room. Fruits, drinks and yoghurt are complimentary in every room. Within the room, it is spacious! They even offer us washing machine (equipped with detergent) in every room so we may wash our laundry. Exterior has been nicely designed too. Love the deco around the common area like the reading corner, tea table. Breakfast is quite good though it’s the same for both days we were there. Manager nicely upgraded one of our room as it was off peak season. Found out they have another branch in Yun Shi Yao. Perhaps can consider staying there and this for 2 different nights to experience different locations with hopefully similar level of standards.

The hotel is very good and located within the Twin Towers area. The sea view is excellent, and it has all the amenities. My room had a private bathroom, a comfortable bed, and cozy cushions near the window to enjoy the sea view. There is also a projector available for watching movies. The initial service was good, although later there were slight delays in responding. Check-in requires a face scan, while check-out is simple — you just need to send a message to your butler. It is better to book earlier to get a good deal.
