I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience in the hope that it encourages some improvements. Unfortunately, my stay at Nalagi Hotel was far below my expectations. From the moment I checked in, the experience got off to a disappointing start. The front desk attendant was cold and unwelcoming, never made eye contact, and didn’t smile once. She appeared annoyed to be there, which was a stark contrast to the genuine warmth and hospitality I experienced at other hotels in Nadi during this trip. The room was spacious, but it lacked thoughtful design and attention to detail. The main light switch is inconveniently located below the television, with no bedside lamps or nightstands, meaning that if you wanted to read in bed or simply turn the lights off, you had to get up each time. There was also a persistent unpleasant odor coming from the bathroom drain, and overall cleanliness and maintenance left much to be desired. The hotel feels worn and tired, as though very little care has gone into its upkeep. That’s perhaps the biggest disappointment, because the property has so much potential that simply isn’t being realized. The final straw came on my second night. I was repeatedly woken between 1:00 and 2:00 a.m. by neighboring guests who were aggressively banging on a nearby door so loudly it sounded as though they were trying to break it down. Once they eventually got into the room, the noise continued. I called reception to report the disturbance and was told security would be sent, but if they did come, it had little effect. Eventually, I had to get out of bed and ask the guests myself to keep the noise down. I genuinely wanted to enjoy my stay, but the combination of poor service, lack of maintenance, hygiene concerns, and the handling of the late-night disturbance made for a very disappointing experience. With better management, staff training, and investment in the property, Nalagi Hotel could be a wonderful place to stay. Sadly, that was not my experience.

1. I arrived at the hotel at 9am, because of the room not yet ready, we wait until at 1pm, the staff said the room is almost check out, will be ready at 2:30pm, we wait for almost 6 hours, until after 3pm, it's the check in time, the staff said the room still not yet ready. OMG... but at last, thank you to Trip.com for resolving the problem; we got a refund for the first night. 2. Room service is really bad; the box of tissues, the shampoo, and the body lotion all need to wait for a day to refill. 3. The lobby is very, very small, does not look like a 5-star hotel, and many people sleep on the sofa; they also wait for a long time to check in. 4. The Fiji Airlines counter is not open all the time, so we had to take the luggage by ourselves and check in at the airport at last. 5. The only good point to stay is that the port is very near, it's convenient for island hopping, and the restaurants are not bad.

La habitación era muy buena, pero no tenía ni una vista del océano, ni una vista del océano. Después de hablar con la recepción, me dijeron que las fotos eran inexactas y que el problema vino de Trip. Independientemente de si es responsabilidad de la plataforma o del hotel, esta situación no es simplemente profesional y crea desilusión innecesaria. Para aquellos que buscan una vista marina, esto puede no ser el lugar adecuado, porque el agua no es particularmente atractiva, ya que parece verde y no muy clara. El acceso al hotel es muy único, ya que necesita tomar un pequeño barco (aproximadamente un minuto) para cruzar de un lado al otro, que puede ser una experiencia agradable pero no puede ser adecuado para todos. Por último, si su habitación está lejos de la zona de recepción, tendrá que contar con un coche de golf para llegar a la propiedad. En resumen, el hotel tiene un gran potencial gracias a su ubicación y a su excelente personal, pero algunos aspectos, especialmente la precisión de la reserva y la logística, podrían mejorarse significativamente.

The hospitality is top notch! All staff were really welcoming and friendly. Plenty of activities to occupy yourselves and very nice property to be in - vibes and views wise. Overall a very pleasant stay and a wonderful memory

Best option outside the pricey hotels in Denarau and Wailoaloa. Close to reasonably priced restaurants, grocery store and currency exchange. Excellent service too, plus they offer free airport pickup.

Un hotel pequeño y estupendo. Muy familiar, especialmente para familias con niños pequeños. La comida y los restaurantes son excelentes y a buen precio. Necesita más actividades nocturnas para adultos. El entretenimiento musical es agradable, pero repetitivo.

A very VERY strange experience here I must say.. I arrived at the 28 bed dorm room (even though trip.com said it was 10 bed) and there was no sign of any other life in the dorm at all. Most of the beds looked like they had been made months ago and nobody had slept in them since because they were covered in a layer of dust and dirt.. I went back to reception to ask what was going on and they said I’m the only one booked in so I just accepted it as it was. However, later on when I was sitting the bar a member of staff approached me and told me I had been upgraded (because supposedly the dorms weren’t clean due to a big group having checked out yesterday) so I ended up spending two nights in a luxurious Bure, the first night shared with someone else who was booked in for the dorms. The Bure was beautiful and spotless and I am very grateful for the upgrade. The outside shower was also very nice! The breakfast was excellent with lots to choose from! Eggs, sausages, beans, bread, cakes, yogurts, fruit, multiple cereals, tea, coffee and juice, one morning there were pancakes. The only downsides to this resort is they don’t have any activities or excursions of their own and they direct you to the hotel further along - I did snorkelling there which costs $75 - the whole thing felt rushed in my opinion and the trip wasn’t worth the money. We got barely any time in the water and there was no time to stop and observe anything, seemed like the guys on the boat just wanted to get it all over and done with as fast as possible.

Check in was after 3pm, check out 10:30 , and you have to get the towel from the reception. Too many rules  plastered in the room as if you are going to rob them. A deposit of FJD50 in cash is required (no drinks in the room whatsoever, just instant coffee). I asked if I can check out before 12nn but was allowed only up to 11am. When I went back to get my luggage, the lady told me that I was supposed to have checked out already, without even asking if I already did. Only the cleaning staff were helpful. Would not recommend.

A pocos pasos del aeropuerto de Nadi, pero es un gran resort cuando se encuentra en R&R. Si no se va a realizar actividades o visitar la ciudad, entonces debería considerar conseguir el paquete de alimentos incluyente, ya que los alimentos en el sitio es caro de todos modos.

Overall, our stay was okay. The staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming and kind, and they made us feel valued throughout our visit. Unfortunately, the shower was not clean on arrival, which was disappointing and let the room down. With better attention to cleanliness, the overall experience would have been much better. Thank you to the staff for their excellent hospitality.
