I arrived in pouring rain. I thought I could walk to my hotel but it was impossible in the downpour. I didn’t want to bother any hotel owner.   I didn’t and still don’t  have an eSIM that can make local  call but thanks to Trip.com, there is a link that I could call the owner for free.  I didn’t advise the owners my arrival time so they were off running errands.  I called the owner to pick me up and thankfully he answered. He was busy but gracious enough to turn around and picked me up. It knew Zhouhuang requires a ticket but I didn’t know that no cars, nor motorcycles, nor bicycles are allowed. Without him I would have arrived the hotel easily.  I always like to meet the owners instead of employees . They were very helpful and answered all my questions. They are honest people who dedicate their  blood and sweat to their business. The owner even offered to walk me to the bus stop  to Suzhou which was my next destination.  This  operates two hotels with 9 in one and 6 in the other. The one that I stayed in with 9 rooms is in a  lively and busy area . Just outside the hotel is a restaurant and there are plenty of places to eat. Inside the hotel is a peaceful oasis where you won’t hear any noise. The location is the best. The other hotel is in a quieter neighborhood a few minutes away. Each of the 15 rooms has it’s own personality, is different and has its distinctive decoration. The owners said they decorated them themselves. I love the decoration and especially the lighting.  After you reserve a room, be sure to contact the owner for the exact address in case you want to arrive on your own. I think it is best to request the owner to take you there because he/she will lead you to the ticket booth to buy tickets. There are a number of bridges so heavy big luggages can be a bit of a challenge .  If you arrive after 5 pm, you can enter free of charge as no one is there to check your ticket. . But once you are inside, and if you choose to leave the area after 8 or 9 am until 5 pm, you have to pay to come back in. You can buy a one day or in my case 3 days pass.  Do check with the owner for up to date information.  The room was quite clean. There were hot water all the time. There were other guests during my stay but they were not noisy at all. I barely heard them. I slept very well during my 3 nights there.  Zhouhuang is really beautiful. There are many canals, bridges, boat rides, good food of all kinds. I had some of the best meals there. In fact , I ate in the same restaurant that serves dumpling twice. One night I had grill (BBQ) meat just outside the entrance for 4 yuans. .  There is decent size supermarket just outside the turnstile and not too far away is a much bigger supermarket. It was there where I bought half a Peking duck for only 32 yuans . The seller sliced the meat and separated the meat from  the bones. The bones he fried so it was crunchy.  It was delicious. There is a theater that offers performances. The night view is great. If you step out your room, you will be overwhelmed in a good sense by the exciting surroundings.  This hotel definitely is one of the best that I have ever stayed in. Look at the beautiful pictures and find one that you like.  I stayed only 3 nights and one of those days I went to Tongli. In my opinion, one should spend at least 2 to 3 full days in  Zhouhuang (and especially this hotel ) savor the ambience. I don’t think Tongli is worth the time because it was twice as expensive and there are not that many canals and boat rides. It is much quieter and has fewer things to see. . The worst is that the sightseeing places require you to show your ticket. After 2 places, I lost mine ticket and I  couldn’t get in the rest of the places. It is unnecessary to require proof of entrance because you can’t enter the area without a ticket. 

Está situado en pleno centro del casco antiguo, con fácil acceso a los restaurantes, tiendas y puentes por los que este pueblo fluvial es famoso. Los dueños fueron muy atentos conmigo. No les supuso ninguna molestia. Me acompañaron personalmente a la calle principal, a las afueras del casco antiguo, para solucionar un problema técnico con mi portátil y llevaron mi equipaje hasta la entrada del pueblo a mi partida. Gracias por su excelente servicio. Recomiendo sin duda su alojamiento.

Fue una de mis mejores experiencias de estancia. En realidad tuve problemas para encontrar la ubicación, ya que el mapa no me dio la ubicación de entrada adecuada, sino cerca de una. (y fue noche y no estoy bien en el lugar; la puerta está frente al río así que trate de seguir el río y no será difícil encontrarlo en realidad) Incluso fue tarde a medianoche pero el dueño me esperaba. La casa es muy acogedora y siempre se mantiene limpia. La habitación es lo suficientemente grande para viajeros solitarios como yo, incluso con precio presupuestario. El agua estaba caliente y la presión también era buena. Y el sistema de calefacción y refrigeración estaba equipado perfectamente. La habitación era siempre tan bien abierto todos los días que estaba profundamente impresionado. Puede que sea ruido si hay otros huéspedes, considerando cómo se enfrenta la habitación, pero en mi caso fue por mí mismo mientras quedó así que no hay problemas en absoluto. Y no está lejos del famoso lago, y puedes encontrar varios tipos de cenas, incluyendo tiendas de masajes de pies y vendedores de frutas. Tucked along a busy street, this hidden lodge offers a beautiful setting with a charming ambiance. My room featured a CD player, a thoughtful touch, though only one CD was available to play. I stayed in a rooftop room, which was pleasant, but it can get noisy at night due to foot traffic in the alley and a nearby bar that plays music until around 2am. That said, the bed was very comfortable, and my sleep was not significantly affected. However, light sleepers may find the noise disruptive. The location is about a 5–10 minute walk from the main road, so be prepared to carry your luggage a short distance. Overall, I had an enjoyable stay at Huaji and would gladly return.

Instalaciones: Tal como se muestra en las fotos. Muy nuevo. Muy satisfecho. Tiene tres plantas, y me alojé en la última, que era tranquila y sin interrupciones. Limpieza: Limpio y cómodo, muy satisfactorio. Entorno: 1. A solo unas pocas decenas de metros de la taquilla del Shen Hall, muy conveniente. 2. El pequeño patio frente al B&B es hermoso, perfecto para tomar fotos y registrarse. Servicio: Envié la ubicación del taxi y llegué directamente. Resumen: Este B&B fue fantástico. ¡Me alojaré aquí de nuevo la próxima vez que visite Zhouzhuang!

¡Viajamos a Suzhou el día que hubo un tifón! Le informamos a Xiao Gu que estábamos en un cruce de caminos y él vino al rescate con dos paraguas gigantes (para protegernos de la tormenta) y nos ayudó con el equipaje. La habitación es exactamente igual a la foto. Nos dieron dos botellas de agua y un plato de fruta. ¡También puedes tomar un té chino mientras disfrutas de la vista del canal! Todas las comodidades son muy modernas. El hotel está rodeado de tiendas locales, así que los precios de la comida, la fruta, los pasteles e incluso los recuerdos son muy razonables. La calle Shantang está a pocos minutos a pie (aunque a precio turístico) y hay muchos lugares para hacer fotos en el camino. Xiao Gu ha sido de gran ayuda en muchos aspectos. Gracias por su hospitalidad. ¡Muy recomendable!

Hotel is on Pishi Street, iconic cobbled stones street that is for shopping and photo taking. Hotel staff called the day before checking in, and pulled us into a wechat group that tells us the landmark to take car to, what to do if we drive, and some recommendations for food if we need. They also ask if we have a ETA so that they know and are ready for us. When we reached, their staff brought me to my room, helped me carry my box luggage up to the 2nd floor of the side alley. He helped me set up the aircon (it was originally set to heater mode) and also set up wifi. There is water provided in the fridge at lobby. Apparently the lobby will be locked after 10.30pm and have to access from small side glass door by keycard. Cute and furry cats in the lobby. They provided fruits on the 1st day of stay. Place is convenient and very clean. They provided facial products and even eye masks. Very well put together place and totally justify the price you pay. We just have to wechat them and they will immediately respond. Upon check out, the girl at the counter helped me bring down my heavy luggage again. I had some issues with the lock of the door the 2nd day and they immediately rectified it, and also switched me to a next door room. Thank you to the young chap and young girl at lobby for all the helpful help. Thank you for the lovely stay. Will recommend u to friends if they ask for recs.

The hotel is located within Zhouzhuang Old Town, making it convenient to visit nearby museums. If you enter the old town after 5 PM, you can avoid the entrance fee. The hotel is also situated next to a temple, but unfortunately, the temple is currently under renovation and not open to tourists. One issue to note is the presence of mosquitoes, so be sure to bring insect repellent. Zhouzhuang offers a stunning night view — highly recommended! Don’t miss the boat ride; it costs 220 yuan per ride and can accommodate up to 6 people, including infants.

This is the second time we stay at this hotel within 4 months time. The couple host still providing superb facilities, cleanliness and hospitality. Fantastic location within walking distance to Humble administrator garden, many food seller surrounding. The room si clean and spacious with private sauna machine available in the room. This hotel will always be our favourite stay if we visit Suzhou.

La ubicación de la posada es muy buena, justo en el centro de la ciudad antigua de Zhouzhuang. Solo se necesitan de cinco a diez minutos para caminar hasta la entrada del lugar escénico, Shuangqiao, Shen Hall, el Museo de Zhouzhuang y otras atracciones.
