Very friendly host, fine breakfast served on private terrace, spacious room with a very good bed, ground floor therefore cool all day long, we didn't need the AC. Wonderful sandy beach right in front, unrestricted view from the rooms apart from 5 palm trees each 8 m high, planted by Nicks grandfather, clear water, no jellyfish, nevertheless calm. Very good restaurant next door with interesting variations of greek standard, many others within walking distance. Best place in Zakynthos, far away from Laganas. Overall more like visiting a friend.

Fantástico
Just got back from a week's stay at the Contessina Suite and Spa. There is a sister hotel just around the corner from the Suites and Spa. Decorated in the same very modern way. This is a real Oasis and I hope the owners realise that they have created a very special place and have a excellent service orientated staff. The suites we were in opened up to a shared ”plunge pool”. There are also balcony suites on the floor above. Given that in October it is not too hot in Zante we didn't really use the shared pool immediately outside the room.However in the peak summer months I can see how valuable this would be. The bed was large (Super King) and very comfortable. we asked for an iron/ironing board and a Mosquito plug - which were both delivered within minutes. The place is spotless and the standard of housekeeping in the room is very high. Rooms are cleaned twice a day. The wifi coverage is great - at least we didn't have any problem streaming. The breakfast is quite extensive. Drinks and eggs can be ordered from the many waiting staff or from the Hotel App. Buffet food is good. there is a variety - however it is likely that you may want to have a few meals out. The Fillet steak in the Contessina Hotel is exceptional as is thes ushi. The Suites/Spa give you are a 20 Euro pp credit if you want to go to any of the a la carte restaurants (1 in the suites and 1 in the hotel). Nearby are many tavernas. The HalfWay House restaurant (a few rungs above your normal taverna) , 5 minutes walk away is excellent. The staff at the Hotel are really excellent. Such good service. Everyone we came across at the Hotel were without exception friendly and happy to be helpful. special mention to Maria, Che, Sarah - others who we didnt get the name of. The staff really make the place. Exceptional service ! We will be back !

UUsuario invitadoFijn appartement om de vakantie door te brengen. Wij hadden het appartement op de bovenverdieping met de vide. Het appartement was niet heel groot, maar volstond voor ons drieën. De eigenaar heeft ons vriendelijk verwelkomd. Alles was netjes schoon toen we aankwamen en elke dag werden de bedden opgemaakt, de prullenbakken geleegd, het toilet schoongemaakt en nieuwe handdoeken (en strandlakens!) neergelegd. Dit was top en heel fijn. Lege flesjes worden weggegooid, dus als je deze wil hergebruiken zet ze dan even in de kast of koelkast! ;) De schoonmakers zijn vriendelijk. Ondanks dat je met vier mensen kon verblijven in het appartement (wat wel wat krap zou zijn; helemaal met vier volwassenen) is op het balkon maar plaats voor twee (klein balkon en twee stoelen). De appartementen op de eerste verdieping hebben meer buitenruimte. De wifi deed het helaas niet zo goed. De airco was fijn en deed goed zijn werk! Het dorpje waarin het appartement is gelegen, is rustig en juist daarom een hele fijne plek om na een dag aan het strand naar terug te keren. Het uitzicht over de haven is top. Wij hadden het ontbijt bij de boeking erbij geboekt. Voor het ontbijt konden we bij het Rock Café terecht. Je kon kiezen uit een vijftal/zestal ontbijtjes en een drankje. De ontbijtjes waren per stuk best beperkt (bv bakje fruit met yoghurt of 1 grote croissant met een jammetje, een plakje kaas en een plakje kalkoenfilet). Maar doordat wij met z’n drieën drie verschillende ontbijtjes deelden (greek, harmony en rock cafe breakfast) hadden we een lekker gevarieerd ontbijt elke ochtend. Aardige en snelle bediening. Je kon vanaf 8:30 tot een uur of 12 daar terecht voor het ontbijt. Er was niet altijd plek om buiten op het terras te zitten. Ze hadden sojamelk of amandelmelk voor in de koffie! Aanraders in de buurt van het appartement: - bij het restaurant Mythos hebben wij twee keer heerlijk gedineerd met een mooi uitzicht over de haven. - Iets verderop vind je Arba Kantina (zie google); een rustig plekje om op een gratis ligbedje van de zon te genieten. Bij de foodtruck kan je koffie en lunch halen (souvlaki was lekker). - in het bij Pitsolos Turtles zitten allemaal schildpadden. (Daar eten is overigens niet zo aan te raden: duurt lang, salades stellen nauwelijks wat voor, pizza was verbrand). - je kan fruit, groeten, brood en drankjes bij de supermarkt in het zijweggetje kopen. - bij Aelia hebben wij lekkere latte macchiato’s (met havermelk) gedronken.

La cocina de Effie (madre anfitrión) fue muy bien organizada y tuve que tomar una amplia gama de cocinas griegas y aprendí un poco de cocina de Effie. ¡En cada comida, la familia era muy generosa, siempre me ofreció más comida, incluso cuando estaba cansada! Andriana (hija anfitrión) dirigió mis clases de yoga, que fueron fácilmente algunos de los mejores que he tomado! El hotel de la ciudad de Zakynthos, el museo de la producción de aceite de oliva, las vistas, los viajes de barco, etc. El hotel se ha ido a la calle para organizar los itinerarios basados en el tiempo y ha añadido algunos paradas adicionales. Me dejé de sentir como si tuviera unas vacaciones relajadas, pero también aprendí mucho sobre la cultura griega y vi algunos lugares hermosos alrededor de la isla.

Stayed in AluaSoul Hotel, in Tragaki, Zakynthos. The hotel itself was modern and clean, staff were polite and friendly. The room had a side view of the pool and was basic. Apart from a small clothes rail the room lacked storage units for our clothes. The rail had no clothes hangers and having asked for some we were given three and informed that the hotel had run out. We pointed this out to our rep who informed us that all the rooms did not have wardrobes only to find out from another guest that their room had wardrobes. The hot tap in the bathroom was broken which took the hotel three days to fix. The package included unlimited alcoholic drinks, however the spirits and beer on offer were extremely weak. If premium brands were required there was a supplement to pay. The food on offer consisted of a buffet of cold and hot food. There was a wide variety of salads on offer which were delicious, however the hot food was a bit of a mixed bag. The AluaSoul did not live up to its 4 star rating.

UUsuario invitadoLet me start by saying , we love Greece and have been coming for over 20 years , we love the family run basic Greek charm, and as long as rooms are clean, we dont mind as we dont go away to look at the rooms.However I feel a bit cheated for what we paid and what they show and promise on their site, this hotel over promises and under delivers big time. the pool 8 sunbeds in the shade yes only 8 !, around a cramped pool area ( not whats shown in their pics) its full of unnecessary gimmicks like a sauna (who needs a sauna in a hot country ) and Jacuzzi, both at least 20 euros to use , itsa waste of space when more more sunbeds are needed, its so shady that if your lucky youl get 2 hours of a half tanned body, then forget it. its right next to a busy road youl choke on the fumes if your by the tiny pool, umbrellas nailed to the floor , you cant use them. rooms are dark & dated , if thisis refurbished ifd hate to have seen it before , what fun using the waterfall shower , watching it soak the toilet and floor another gimmick badly installed and not suitable fora basic greek bathroom, no sea view or view of the church as boasted on their website, breakfast was ok , but some strange things on offer like left over chicken & veg, all chopped up like baby food, your being watched like a hawk by the owner, just in case you eat too much, and we dont by the way. made us feel very uncomfortable, maid service was good a little early and every day ! Agassi location is good if a little commercial, so the reviews i read and research i did on their web site before booking, has made me a bit confused, maybe im missing something, they are not particularly friendly , but not rude either so fine with us . except the breakfast watcher, its rude to watch people eat, pretend at least to be doing something rather than stare , this is a dated budget place , with no privacy on the balcony, no views and charges too much for whats on offer , the web site pics dont show the all the rooms , theirs better for less money, so dont be sucked in like us and fall for the inflated boast and stretched pictures , oh and hairdryer out of the 70s i think in the bathroom !

SSIJIEEste hotel es muy bueno, la ubicación es buena, la excursión de un día se recogerá en el hotel, el desayuno es particularmente rico, muy saludable. Y lo más importante, la dueña del hotel es muy, muy buena, la jefa es muy joven y hermosa, y sobre todo el temperamento, y el abuelo, también es muy bueno. Mi teléfono móvil se cayó al mar, no se encendió y luego encontré una herramienta para abrir el teléfono móvil. El abuelo fue muy paciente y estudió conmigo. Estaba avergonzado cuando estaba en problemas en medio de la noche. Preguntó a la tienda de teléfonos móviles cercana, y la jefa también me mostró paciencia. ¡la carretera! Debido a que el teléfono está roto, no comí mucho. Bajé a la una de la tarde a buscar fideos instantáneos, o el abuelo me ayudó a hervir las ampollas. En resumen, le doy una puntuación perfecta a este hotel. ! ! ! ! ¡Evaluación de conciencia!
