2 week all inclusive holiday Oct 2023 We decided to book aluasoul zante for our 2023 holiday. We read the reviews and the majority of people said positive things about the hotel yes there were negative ones but we had been to the excellence in Mexico last year and it was stunning but people still had a moan about that so we took the plunge and booked. We paid extra for sea view room but could only see about 1 inch of it from. Balcony plus we wanted double bed but had two singles we spoke to polite staff who showed us a new room which would be available in the morning and it was alot better beautiful view of sea but single beds they said they would give us a double bed . I the morning we swapped rooms but they had only thrown a matress topper on the beds and pushed them together so not great . When we pressed flush we had 2 hrs of cistern filling and had to keep pressing it over and over in hope the noise would stop. The room was small. There was nothing in the fridge which was not great considering we were all inclusive no snacks fruit pop only 2 small bottles water on side. Shower had corrosion and was rusty the room had been recently painted but had not been wiped where they had over painted. Bath was very slippery just all needed updating replacing. We could not get a lounger by pool as selfish people put towels down and we're there all day they gounch or away for kip and come back the staff never enforced the NORESERVING loungers at all! So we would go to the beach every day instead . Breakfast was not great I can eat anything but stuck to cerial or some fry up beans sausage eggs that were not cooked or over cooked the orange jusce apple was u drinkable tasted like neat orange cordial the coffee machine was not a great option thank god we brought own tea bags. lunch dinner was not much better yes there was a varied choice but alot tasted the same my fiance who is fussy lived on spam , plain ham chips with rosamary on them or abit of salad. The desserts were nice but everything had flys and wasps all over it so we eat as soon as it opened and not later. There is a upgraded club where fir 80 € 100€ per night you get access to better rooms. 2 other pools and sunlougets which were plentiful a restaurant which served same menu most night not great we looked!. Two egg wicker chairs in middle og hotel only for select guests and a small tabled area next to main restaurant with same food. So it looks amazing I. Photos but not worth it to upgrade we went on shipwreck beach and blue cave tour with nexis local tour company which was well worth it . This hotel was a fantastic option for my friend and I for a five day break. We went all inclusive and food was great, room was great and service was some of the best we’ve ever had. Special shout out to Alex, Toni and Giota!

Already said great vacation.Staff were great as they were the last time may have opened a week early because little things not quite right but no major problems from my end.

We have just arrived at the Aluasoul Zakynthos about 5 hours ago. I am travelling with a friend. I have stayed at numerous hotels which are part of the Hyatt brand in Mexico and the Caribbean. This Hyatt hotel is not what I expected it to be. Possibly because it is in Europe ... IDK. First off, no "welcome" bottle of water in the hotel fridge as advertised on the website/app (double checked). When enquired at reception about we were informed that water was available at the bars. So we went to the bar only to be told we would be charged 2 euros for this "welcome" bottle of water. I know not a big thing but a little whinge to start me off. Of note there is a water machine in the main buffet restaurant to fill our water bottles in the future. The Room ... is what I would describe as "compact and bijou" ... these were in fact my first words. The room is immaculately clean (apart from the dusty skirting boards) and looks freshly refurbished with white walls, white linen on the beds and light coloured laminate floors and cabinetry. The beds and pillows seem firm and comfy. The bathroom is NOT spacious. There is extremely limited space to put toiletries out, etc and the majority is now located on the mini shelf/frame behind the beds. There are NO drawers at all in the room so all our underwear and stuff is lounging about on the shelves in the wardrobe. There are 10 hangers. The wardrobe shares it's space with the mini fridge and also the safe which is on the top shelf of the wardrobe about 6 foot up. The Safe ... so for my 5 foot and a peanut height it is a bit of a challenge. I can randomly press the buttons and chuck my stuff in but not get it out hence my friend who is a bit taller than me has to get whatever I need out... we are dragging the chair in to the room from the balcony (as suggested by reception) to stand on to get into the safe but obviously this is a health and safety issue as it is a balcony chair. The Nubium a La carte/restaurants ... there is a printed one page information sheet left in our room to inform us of the restaurants/bars. It gives times of when they are open. What it does not tell you is that in fact the Nubium is one visit per week unless you are MFC. The drinks and food we have had up to now have been lovely tho. Pool Towels ... we do not know where they are hidden... sorry located ... this is another question we will be asking when we visit reception for the 4th time today. Information About the Hotel/Amenities, etc ... normally you can find this on the app or on the TV in the room. There is limited info on the app and no info on the TV. So we will be paying another visit to reception at some point no doubt to ask a question as and when (if) something arises ... The Hotel in General ... it is built on a hill. Nothing wrong with that. There are lots of stairs many of which are steep and uneven in height. I am already struggling with the different heighted stairs in areas due to my small height. Plus where different pat

We booked a standard sea view room and following the travel agents advice, we didn’t book the ‘my favourites club’ room and package as she said there did not seem to be much extra benefit. However, upon arriving at the hotel, the hotel were very kind to upgrade us due to it being our honeymoon to the ‘my favourites club’ room and package. Addressing the reviews which complain about reception service- we got a fantastic service from staff who were dealing with many arrivals and also other queries from people already there, they couldn’t have done any more and were excellent. Our room had a bottle of wine in it and a card to congratulate us on our wedding which was a thoughtful and kind gesture. There is DEFINITELY a huge difference in experience at the hotel and it varies guest to guest (but be aware some people just love to moan also some of these reviews are completely inaccurate) the hotel CLEARLY advertises the my favourites club and charges but until you are there, you really don’t appreciate the difference. I would advise to book the ‘my favourites club’ room and package. You get access to the two infinity pools at the back of the hotel facing the sea, loads of sun beds and space and private bar. Off limits to other guests. We would not have enjoyed our holiday half as much and are truly grateful for the upgrade. Our room was clean, tidy, beautiful balcony with sea view, cleaned every day by our lovely housekeeper Marva (room 934). We had air conditioning for the full stay and never had any issues with anything in the room. You also get access to the al a carte restaurant for your whole stay which provided a nice luxury choice. However, during our stay the air conditioning broke in 3 of the large standard room blocks. There were a lot of angry and disgruntled guests due to a lack of communication. I appreciate the hotel probably wanted to avoid drawing attention to the issues, but with so many people affected, it would have been advisable to inform all guests of the issues, the fact they were doing everything they could to resolve them (which they absolutely were) and more offers of fans, water and maybe an area to go to to cool down. I also think a few freebies would have gone a long way- maybe an offer for a few free luxury cocktails or an extra night in the al a carte. We were not directly affected but reception was constantly busy with lots of angry guests and there seem to be a few very unfair reviews posted and I feel this would have helped avoid such dissatisfaction. The food and drink was excellent for an all inclusive. Breakfast was a big buffet with loads of choice. Lunch was a big buffet with different things added and changed every day, you also had the option of sandwiches at all the bars and fresh fruit and cake or our personal favourite was the pool bar lunch option which offered a restaurant style service each day with its own menu.
