Saraii Village

The staff were very hospitable and the experience of staying in a treehouse in the forest was definitely enjoyable. However, there was no wifi, which brought inconvenience

奥地に入り込んでいて、トゥクトゥクなどがないと無理。 ツリーハウスのベットはおしゃれで清潔だったが、やはり外なので、 蚊に悩まされた。シャワーやトイレは仕方がないのかもしれないが、 蛇とネズミ、蛾、小さなゴキブリも出て、自然を受け入れることが できる人じゃないと無理かもしれない。 エコという西洋の理念を売りにして利用している感も無きにしも非ず。 エコという錦の旗のもと、設備や補修などにはお金がかかっていないことを考えれば、 かなり割高。食事も素朴だが、割高に感じられた。 サファリも割高で、時間もかかるし、ジープの振動もあり、疲れる割にあまり動物も みることができないので、高齢者や時間のない人、疲れやすい人にはおすすめできない。 本当に野生の動物なのだろうか。見せ物のために、公園の入口あたりに動物（受けが良い一組の象の親子）を あえて誘導しているのではないかと少し疑ってしまった。動物園や日本のサファリで十分だと思ってしまった。 でもツリーハウスに泊まってみたい、ジープに乗ってみたいという子供連れの家族などには良い経験になるでは。

We were on a roundtrip in Sri Lanka and saw a lot of different hotels but the Saraii Village was our favourite. We were hosted absolutely great at this resort and felt very comfortable. The rooms were clean and nicely done, the food was excellent prepared and the host and his employees were very accomodating. We even got an arrival gift as we were on our honeymoon. Sleeping in the treehouse was an incredible experience that we would very much recommend! Thank you for having us. We loved staying at the Saraii Village.

From our arrival to our departure, we were hosted absolutely great at this resort. The host is a very kind and respectable man, who serves his guests in the very best way. We were warned about insects and animals coming into the treehouses, but honestly, the rooms were incredibly clean and well kept and sleeping in the treehouse was an amazing experience! We were even sad we only stayed one night on our tour, everything about this place was just great!

It was a different experience on top a tree. Lovely staff, they are very helpful as they were ready with b/fast early as 4 am for us to leave at 4 am. Only negative factor is the quantum of food they serve as it was not enough for some of the members.

It started on the wrong foot where I was informed that the Hotel is unable to provide the Tree House which I booked and alternate accommodation was offered on a ground floor mud chalet with a late checkout. I was indeed disappointed and that's when I spoke to the Hotel. From the moment I phoned the experience was unbelievable. The owner of the property, Ms Charitha did her best to explain the mishap and to compensate and to make me feel comfortable offered so many add ons on a free of charge basis and also promised to get me a Tree House if a change takes place. My next call was on the day of arrival to get few directions and wasn't I pleasantly surprised to hear that a Tree House was ready for us I was introduced to their efficient manager Mr Prasanga who made sure that we got the correct directions and upon arrival we were given the best possible treatment. It was a classy Tree House, secluded but very close to nature. It was very spacious and super clean. Tea / Coffee / or even a fresh juice was just a telephone call away and it was all for free. Mr Prasanga and his Team was at our disposal even for the tiniest of requirement s and made sure that we are comfortable. Going to bed with nature was a first time experience for myself and my wife and it was a very special experience. We were greeted with a hot cuppa coffee, the following day morning and the Sri Lankan breakfast with Milk Rice and Pol rotti was out of this world. I was willing to forego the complimentary lunch which was offered in lieu of the Tree House but the Hotel staff persuaded that we do not miss the "The Farmer's Lunch" prepared the traditional way in a nearby farmhouse. The hotel staff even accompanied us to visit a nearby farm (known as a Hena in Sinhalese) The Farmer's lunch was another unique experience where 12 curries were served in a natural setting. A must try to any visitors. We checked out shortly after lunch after an unforgettable stay at Saraii Village. Many Thanks to Charitha, Prasanga and everyone else at the property

We only stayed one night when doing a safari at Yala. We stayed in a mud suite (or superior mud chalet) and it was perfect. There was loads of space with a large bed, fan and a shower in a tree. I loved the rustic style of the furniture as everything here is made by hand. It’s a really peaceful area with hammocks to relax in and a swimming pool. They provide soap and eco friendly shampoo bars and filtered water on glass bottles. One of the best things were the eco ethos and the staff’s hospitality. Prasanga, the manager, was really friendly and talked to us about the history of Sri Lanka and the struggles the Sri Lankan people have gone through. It’s about a 40 minute drive to Yala and our keep driver picked us up. If you’re thinking of staying in the here or visiting Yala, book Saraii village!

Auf unserer TUI Rundreise hatten wir eine Übernachtung im Baumhaus dieser Lodge. Ein unvergessliches Erlebnis, komfortabel und sehr sauber. Die Leute sind super zuvorkommend und herzlich. Das Essen ist exzellent und mit viel Liebe zubereitet. Wir wären gerne länger geblieben. Ein unvergessliches Abenteuer, wir sind froh es erlebt zu haben. Absolut empfehlenswert.

Ce fut une très chouette expérience de dormir dans les arbres, sans mur au milieu de la nature. Les petits écureuils venaient nous dire bonjour ! La cuisine est excellente, nous y avons très bien mangé. Attention si vous n’aimez pas les bêtes et que vous dormez dans un silence absolu, vous êtes ici dans la nature !
