We always stay at the Lion & Key when we visit London and have been fortunate enough to stay here again in October, December, and also January for my husbands 80th birthday. This really is the ”Savoy” of the small hotels in London and we always know without fail, we will have the most perfect stay. All the staff genuinely care about their guests having the best experience and you cannot fault the care and attention to detail that this hotel takes to ensure an excellent customer experience. They have a great team of which we would like to thank Giorgio, Kanti and Stephania for making all our visits a home away from home. The rooms and also public areas in the hotel are kept pristinely clean and are bright and cheerful. I love the attention to detail this hotel has even with the smallest thing. i.e. the shower cap in the bathroom also has a small hairband in the box ,which is excellent if you have long hair and can’t find your own! The beds are also extremely comfortable and we both always have an excellent night sleep. We love the open kitchen where you can see all the food being freshly prepared and cooked to order. They are very generous with their breakfast time which doesn’t end until 12 o’clock lunchtime. The choice and range that they offer in their restaurant, regardless of breakfast or main meals throughout the day would accommodate even the most fussiest eaters, which I am, but even I am extremely spoilt for choice as the breakfast menu is so comprehensive. The quality of the ingredients used in the restaurant is first class and so is the time and care in presentation which also reflects the pride that they take. We can honestly say that the breakfast’s we have at the L&K are the most tastiest, freshest, consistently perfect breakfast’s we have ever had and far exceed the quality that we have experienced over the years in 4 & 5 star hotels. To be honest, we often wonder how they continuously provide such care and attention to detail for the customer, even more so since Covid as many many hotels and restaurants seem to still use this as an excuse for a less than perfect service or menu range. We must’ve had over 100 of breakfasts since we have been coming here in 2018 and the eggs are always perfectly cooked with a lovely orange yolk, regardless of whether it’s a normal full English breakfast, or my husbands favorite the Egg Royale. We very rarely eat sausages or bacon at home, but the quality and taste of the ones here are amazing, so we always, always enjoy our breakfast which set us up for exploring all day. The transport links to this hotel are excellent as well. There are four buses that go past the hotel to Leyton underground, one of which is running 24 hours and they seem to come by every few minutes. Stratford is only four stops from Leyton so excellent connections for overground, DLR, O2 etc. Liverpool Street is the next stop along for even more connections so the location we find is a great asset to wherever we

El hotel está de lujo. Muy limpio, muy nuevo y en un situación inmejorable. Está encima de la estación de tren, metro y autobús de Stratford, por lo que la comunicación, tanto al aeropuerto de Stansted, como al centro de la ciudad es perfecta. Hay tiendas y bares alrededor, pero en la habitación no se oía ningún ruido. Los desayunos tienen una variedad de comida fría y caliente para aburrir y todo de calidad. La carta de comidas y bebidas es muy amplia y los precios son similares a los de España. Pero lo mejor de todo es el personal. Son muy amables y te atienden en varios idiomas, así que es perfecto si no se controla mucho el inglés. Si vuelvo a Londres no tengo duda de que será el hotel que reserve. ¡Gracias por todo!

This is a basic hotel for a short term booking. If all you need is a good place to sleep and no luxuries in the east of London, then this could be the place for you. The bed was ok and the facilities too. Nothing fancy but functional. The service from staff was ok and I wouldn't criticize that at all. I am happy to return to this Hotel at some other point.

Muy Satisfecho. La hermosa señora de la recepción del hotel que habla chino es muy amable. Me explicó en detalle qué hacer en Londres. Mi hijo quería cambiar su habitación por una habitación con vistas. Ella le mostró varias habitaciones. También Nos recordó que podía ascendernos a una habitación súper grande de forma gratuita. La ubicación es excelente, a sólo 15 minutos a pie del Puente de Londres y rodeado de muchas atracciones. También hay muchos supermercados y es muy conveniente comprar todo tipo de suministros.El hotel cuenta con instalaciones completas, muchas de las cuales no se utilizan.La cama es grande y cómoda. Me gusta y recomiendo.

Planeamos un viaje a Europa en familia. Matrimonio con dos hijos adolescentes. La realidad era poder recorrer y conocer varias ciudades sin necesidad de dejar nuestra economía familiar demasiado afectada. En Londres decidimos este Hostel. habitación cuadruple donde solo estabamos nosotros. No contratamos con desayuno ya que en los alrededores hay muchos lugares para comprar e incluso ir a desayunar. La limpieza del lugar es muy buena. la cocina super equipada. Y la zona segura y cerca de muchos medios de transporte. La realidad es que uno no está demasiado en el hostel cuando va por turismo pero no hay nada mejor como encontrar un buen baño para la ducha diaria, una habitación calentita ya que fuimos en invierno y una cama limpia para descansar luego de un largo día de paseos.

Such a Great Location & the Staff is Amazing! It’s located right next to Kings Cross & Coal Drop Yards which is convenient. Check in is simple & they even let you leave your luggage for free if you get their early & after your check out. The staff is so kind, to the front desk, Maintenance, Cleaning Crew & Management. I love how the beds you can change the color of the Lighting. There are plugs for your phone & a locker to store your stuff. Also a bar to hang socks or a Towel. They have a huge lounge area where you can chill or work & a kitchen. Pretty big kitchen, great way to save $ while traveling! Bathrooms are always clean & always hot water. They have events throughout the week which is great for connecting with new people. You can tell the staff is like family here & genuine souls! Definitely suggest checking out this Hostel when traveling to London! My next trip into London, I’ll definitely be staying here. 💚

Teniendo en cuenta el precio. Este hotel es adecuado. Inspeccionar fue simple. Las instalaciones en la habitación como gastado. Un par de cuestiones con la habitación se han corregido de forma oportuna. Personal útil y disponible 24 horas al día. La ubicación del hotel es muy buena para visitar Central London. Bus y tubos bien conectados. Area local de compras razonables y lugares para comer. Este no es un hotel de lujo y si usted está esperando, sin duda no se quede aquí. Si usted está buscando algún lugar para bajar la cabeza después de un día de vista completo, con un bajo presupuesto.

Nos alojamos en el Ibis Budget Barking en una de las noches más calurosas del año. El aire acondicionado funcionó de maravilla, ¡así que tuvimos una noche mucho mejor que amigos que se quedaron en un hotel mucho más caro en el centro de Londres! Estábamos asistiendo a un evento en The University of East London SportsDock. Fue muy fácil llegar a él: solo un corto paseo hasta la parada de autobús de Tesco, un viaje en autobús de 19 minutos que nos llevó muy cerca del lugar, por lo que Ibis Budget Barking es ideal para cualquiera que quiera ir a algo en el este de Londres. . El personal del frente de la casa fue muy cortés y servicial. He calificado este 4 en lugar de 5 como un hervidor de agua debería ser una oferta estándar en todas las habitaciones (en Ibis Budget Portsmouth teníamos un hervidor de agua). El hotel era muy bueno para nosotros. Estabamos allí tres noches. La estación de Greenwich no está a 2 minutos y ésta lleva a un centro. El hotel estaba limpio en su conjunto. El personal fue muy amable. La desayuno no ofrece una gran selección. He faltado más verduras y más cortes como queso o algo parecido. Mi hijo estaba feliz con los panqueques. Si un adulto paga un desayuno, un niño come gratis (8.99 libras ). La zona no era tan especial. 10 minutos a pie y llegamos a Cutty Sark. Desafortunadamente, el día 1 de Navidad todo estaba cerrado, incluido el transporte público. Por eso, sólo nos quedaba a pie en el día cerca del hotel. Las habitaciones no son tan grandes, pero sólo dormir en ellas y no se queda demasiado tiempo. Lamentablemente, las cucharas nos fueron demasiado duras. Somos somnolientes y la cabeza estaba demasiado alta con ellas. Sin él, nos sentíamos muy desconfortables, así que nos acostamos y esto ha causado dolor de espalda, pero es un alto nivel de maquillaje, porque todos los hombres quieren un tipo diferente y diferente de maquillaje, cuchillos y matraces. Hay supermercados cerca. Estamos siempre al Tesco, que está a 10 minutos y nos compramos agua y snacks para la noche.
