Sakura Cross Hotel Shinjuku East

Off the beaten path in quieter part of Shinjuku. About a 20 minute walk from shinjuku station. Overall a nice property.

The property is quite new, airy and clean. The bathroom was big and spacious with a tub, water pressure was good. The water closet was fully equipped with a high-tech toilet seat and with all the buttons and was located in a separate room. However, the bedroom itself was too tight for a family of 5. We could not even open our suitcases. When the sofa bed is opened there is barely any room to walk around. It would have been nice if they utilized the little corner of the room to install some shelves for the clothes instead of having a bulky coat hanger there. The location was approximately a 10-minute walk from the nearest metro station. We liked the Life Grocery beside the Wakamatsu-Kawada station. Meals, groceries and drinks were available there at cheaper prices than convenience stores. We had a balcony with a view of the street. Overall, the stay was enjoyable! Value for money stay.

This hotel I think is best suited to couples , single people. I wouldnt recommend for families because there are two many rules. There is a note saying not to vomit in the room otherwise you have to pay like ¥30000 and the next nights accom, caught with shoes on in the room another ¥10000, marks on the sheets another ¥10000. These rules really put us of the hotel and with a young child you are on edge they don’t break a rule by mistake. The hotel itself is clean, and the staff very friendly. It’s not staffed all the time only certain hours, and the front door isn’t locked at night to the property.

We really enjoyed our stay. It was easy check in and check out. It would be a nice addition to add lockers for luggage storage for early arrival. We stored our luggage at the station, but would have been more convenient on site. The room was clean and comfortable. When I booked online, we selected a room that had a loft area, unfortunately we did not get a room with a loft. This was a bit of a disappointment but know that rooms do vary.

We stayed 1 night and we like the facility. It was quiet and close to a lot of restaurants and shopping stores. Lots of convenience store too.

Cute little hotel. Room size is ok for 3 beds. No elevator so we have to carry luggages to the room. Got email prior with clear instructions to check in and out the room.

Our stay at Sakura East was nice - the place was clean, conveniently located and nicely priced.

Space is enough and environment is fine. But some used towel discover from bed and some awful smell from toilet. Finally windows are wind leakage.
