Posh hotel, very clean, very big rooms, amiable personnel. And the excellent argentinian restaurant at the ground floor is a must Is rather close to city center (walking distance), couple supermarkets nearby. Very quiet, the restaurant is not causing any noise.

I have chosen Mercure Timisoara and it was the best decision because this place really gave me the perfect accommodation experience. The hotel is perfectly located in a quiet area close to the city center and from the 4th floor (where my room was located) it offers a great view. The room was astonishing: spacious, modern design, all amenities needed and a large comfortable bed for an excellent sleep. On top of that, the technology inside the room was amazing because everything is digitally controlled using a tablet. I enjoyed the delicious breakfast that offered a lot of choices and all of them were great. There is an outstanding restaurant inside the hotel where I had both lunch and dinner and I can easily say I had a real international dining experience because the menu includes dishes from all over the world. Special thanks from my side to Mr. Florin Cojocaru (the hotel’s general manager) for his great hospitality, friendly attitude and willingness to help me with anything needed in order to have the perfect stay at the hotel. I highly appreciated that the management is really focused on creating the highest standards, so the guests can have the best experience during their stay at this hotel. Thanks to Mr. Cojocaru and his amazing team I had a wonderful accommodation experience.

El hotel no está situado centralmente, así que quizás no lo recomendaría a alguien que quiere visitar Timisoara ( a menos que quieran tomar el coche y conducir), pero para nosotros como parada a lo largo de nuestro camino la ubicación era perfecta - cerca de la autopista y el gas Estación y fácil de llegar a una de las periferias de las ciudades.

What I thought was a nice experience at Savoy Hotel turned out to be unnecessary stress and an awful experience. Everthing went well until we left and we received a very passive aggressive message written in a very unprofessional tone. We only stayed for one night, we discovered we had a small balcony so my mom went out for a smoke (outside in plain air with the curtains shut and the balcony door closed so that smoke won't get in). In the message we received we were accused of smoking INSIDE the room, which couldn't be more far from the truth. We were forced to pay a fine, because someone SAW my mom smoking, NOT because the room smelled badly or because it was dirty. They said they will have to relocate the next guests to another room which obviously is not necessary since the room doesn't smell badly, because I repeat the smoke didn't get into the room. We agreed to pay the fine just to get it over with, however the passive aggressiveness continued with them telling us that they will make an exception and they won't put us on a ”black list”. We have traveled for over 20 years all over this world and never were we accused of smoking inside the room, since it was always done om the balcony, if one was available. I was shocked by the lack of professionalism and the tone as they could have just mentioned the fine. however, they wrote a whole paragraph saying that if we don't pay the fine they would have to call the police and sue us. They have also explained that it wasn't in fact a balcony and that their rooms with balconies have furniture in them. Aparently furniture is what makes a balcony worth of the name ”balcony”. I now realise that probably they were upset that we didn't book a room with what they call a balcony that was obviously was more expensive and the fine became the money difference. :) I would like to mention for clarity that it was a clear space outside the room with an actual door, and it could easily fit two people. I regret not having taken any pictures to show you. Not to mention, we booked a triple room and there were only two sets of towels and toiletries and we were 3 people, so their service was far from perfect... Ironically, I have worked in the services industry for a while now and I have never encountered such agressiveness from the management team. If I ever were to talk like that to a client, I would lose my job. They will probably leave a very passive aggressive comment reply to this as well, so just be aware of that in case there are useless new accusations.

We stayed at this hotel with a tour group and it was generally, quite satisfactory. It was situated about 1 km from the centre of the city and away from the crowds and thus, was conveniently located. The walk to the city centre was an easy and flat one. While the hotel did back onto a railway line and our room faced that direction, our sleep wasn't disturbed. Rooms were comfortable but not huge. The one glaring drawback was that the breakfast area really wasn't big enough to cope with the number of guests, with queues forming for everything. In fact, the area was like a pop up breakfast room, with things stored in cupboards around the room. Breakfast itself was average. There is plenty of parking for guests.

Hacía tiempo que buscábamos un buen hotel en Timisoara. El año pasado lo encontramos y este año nos sorprendió con pequeños detalles de mejora que sugerimos el año pasado. Su directora, Elena Zoocan, está muy comprometida con la formación del personal y se nota. También quería agradecer especialmente por su excelente trabajo al personal del desayuno, a Cristina de recepción por ayudarnos por encima de sus obligaciones y a Razvan del restaurante.

it is like a 4.49 star I would give, it is a very nice option, most things are there but 5* (option is to pick a 4* or 5* room) needs to have a bit more attention to detail. On the first day I arrived there was a strange smell in the lobby, not sure if it was cigarette smoke coming from outside or what, but it was a bit unexpected and pregnant. Otherwise, hotel and room looked nice, clean, nothing to say there. In the room there were small things missing, like a broken peg on the bathroom door and the other one barely dangling, the bathroom also looked a bit outdated, with the plaster spotted in the corners, and the sink was slightly stuffed. overall these were small things, the room was really OK otherwise, an honest 4* for me. Cherry on the cake : LOCATION.

En el hotel, el hotel se llama Hotel Continental, y tengo que estar de acuerdo con muchos viajeros que se ha dado una cita, pero no nos importaba que nos quedara una noche. El hotel está situado en el centro de la ciudad, a 10 minutos a pie de todas las atracciones. La habitación era muy buena, se regaló el baño. Televisión por satélite y minibar pequeño, camas medias, AC fijada para max - no podía desactivarlo, así que era caliente como en la sauna. El desayuno era bueno. La piscina es justa en tamaño, caliente, pero muy sobrecrowded - parece que también los no invitados pueden usarlo. Es un hotel maravilloso. Y el personal es absolutamente AWESOME - hermoso, amable, comprensible y útil 24/7 Un placer conocerlos (especialmente dado que tengo cáncer y tuve un día bastante malo uno de los días, y todavía eran hermosos). ¡Incluso antes de llegar a la ciudad, un gran hombre (David ?) se inspeccionó regularmente para comprobar que teníamos todo lo que necesitamos camas, muy cómodas también! Y la comida también es realmente deliciosa - bono para el chef por favor 😂 Gran valor, Gracias por una experiencia maravillosa Asegúrese de que se quede como usted se enojaría. En el Reino Unido este lugar sería mucho más dólares por noche!
