Great Keppel Island Hideaway

I have stayed here many times and would definitely recommend the resort.

This hotel is located on a quiet beach on Keppel Island. The restaurant and bar have a beautiful view of the ocean and a nearby island, with great sunset views. The room was clean, with coffee and electric ketle and a fridge. It was hard to leave the place!

We recently had our wedding at The Hideaway on Great Keppel Island. Was the most perfect day and night. Amy and all the staff went above and beyond to make the whole weekend go perfectly! The rooms are excellent and the food is amazing! Would highly recommend visiting this beautiful part of Queensland. Cannot wait to go back😊

I recently had my 30th Birthday at the island with about 30+ friends and family from all over the world and we had such an amazing time! I think this venue and island is perfect for events as everything is walking distance, there’s a beautiful balance of things to do and time to relax, one place where everyone can congregate with great music, food and drinks. Alanna from the Hideaway organized the event and did such a wonderful job, from decorating to food, drinks the service! It couldn’t be faulted. Thank-you so much and I will be calling you to organize my 40th! Haha Bunch of legends

Had the most fantastic time at Great Kepel Hideaway over Easter weekend. Food and accom excellent, perfect breakaway. Beaches, bush tracks, entertainment. A huge thankyou to Allana and Emily, outstanding staff members who went above and beyond with great service. Highly reccomend Great Keppel Hideaway.

I stayed at Great Keppel Island Hideaway for my grandson’s wedding and had such a lovely time. The weather wasn’t 100% but that didn’t spoil the a**osphere and friendly vibes of the island. The staff were just lovely no matter what role they played. The restaurant served great meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner, not to mention, Happy Hour was a must each day! The accommodation was fairly basic but who needs to be inside when there’s such beautiful beaches and a great common area to utilise.

Our 3 day holiday to GKI Hideaway was great! Staff were super friendly & helpful. The Putney place one bedroom airconditioned cabin was perfect for our family. It was very clean, spacious & very close walking distance to the beach despite not having an ocean view. The little verandah outside with a table & chairs was a good addition. Loved the handy pop up coffee kiosk on Putney Beach too. Loved the live music playing on Friday & Saturday nights up at the restaurant! We will definitely stay again!

What a great getaway. Everyone said that it would rain, well don't believe people just go and do it. We booked into an Island cabin for 3 nights with sunset cocktails each night and ferry transfers deal, great value. We also took over food for our stay. The rooms were good, had a large fridge with cooking and eating condiments. However, the food at the Hideaway was great, large proportions and good variety with cost very reasonable. There was an HHr every afternoon with great prices and rang of drinks, great to sit back and watch the sunset. Main Bed was comfortable, think small queens, and the room had aircon to take the day heat of you while you slept. There are also 2 single beds in the main area if needed. The toilet and shower is an extension on the end of the room with lots of room however the shower doesn't have doors to stop the water from going onto the floor and if you leave to door open you can see straight outside but that's island life. Wow the beaches are to die for. There's a beach at your back door, around the corner or a nice hike through bush to Monkey (great for snorkeling) and long beach. There is a water sports hire shop where you can hire all your equipment. Highly recommend a min 3 days for a great getaway.
