"As a wheelchair user Premier Inn is generally my go to when travelling in the UK as I know what to expect. Ideal location for the International Centre where I was attending an event, this Premier Inn is situated above a block of restaurant units and with the reception on the first floor, it is accessed from a ground floor at the corner of the block with initial entry gained via an intercom to reception. There is no onsight car parking but there are plenty of nearby car parks with a reasonably priced multi story car recommended by Premier Inn. My adapted bedroom was fabulous with a comfortable bed and excellent wetroom styled bathroom. There is a restaurant onsight where breakfast and evening meals are served but the menu is limited and I find the Premier inn breakfast overpriced so rarely take it. However, there is an abundance of fast food, budget and more expensive restaurants around so you won't go hungry. Staff were always on hand and were polite and helpful. All in all a very enjoyable stay."

"Me alojé aquí con otras dos personas por 2 noches para asistir a un evento. Fue perfecto para nuestras necesidades. Habitación muy bonita que estaba excepcionalmente limpia y una fantástica ducha a ras de suelo. Tener mucho estacionamiento y estar cerca de muchas tiendas y restaurantes fue muy útil. Fue muy fácil caminar a los lugares donde necesitaba estar. ¡El desayuno era bueno! Nada excepcional, pero la selección continental cumplió su cometido y, a pesar de la limitada comida caliente, aún pude prepararme unos buenos sándwiches de tocino. Todo el personal fue muy amable y servicial. Muy asequible y sin duda me alojaría aquí de nuevo!"

"The room was characterfully decorated befitting this elegant Georgian house, yet full of modern day comforts and well heated. The full English breakfast was exceptional, using the best of ingredients. Other breakfast options were available, including smoked salmon with eggs and smashed avocado with eggs which were both excellent. There was an option of an evening meal which we took one evening. Again, this was exceptionally good. We had the roast belly of pork with black pudding (with wonderful crackling!). The hosts made our 3 night stay perfect."

The Swan Taphouse ★★★

"We chose to stay here for a one night stay, on our way to an event in Shrewsbury, and to add another night to our weekend away. The Swan pub was once an 18th century malt house, so the room was a bit quirky and reflected the age of the property, but it was spacious, clean and comfortable, with a large en-suite and tea & coffee etc provided in the room. We didn't actually use the shower, so can't comment on how good it was. Nor did we eat or drink in the pub, as we prefered the menu at the sister pub next door (The Malthouse, which we have stayed in before and would have again, but the Swan was much cheaper!) The rooms have their own entrance to the car park, so you can come and go outside of the pub opening times. The car park is quite small and a bit tatty, but we managed to get a space when we arrived. There is also street parking and a public car park nearby if the pub car park is full though. Our room had a nice view of the river across the road, and the outside drinking area, but we didn't experience any noise from the pub at all. Having said that, we spent the evening at the pub next door as they had a really good live band playing, and the Swan was close to closing time when we returned to the room! We had a large family room with a double and a single bed in the room and it was very spacious. The bed was a little soft for our liking, but that's just personal preference and we slept ok. We would definitely stay here again, if the price was as reasonable as it was this time."

"On Trip.com said free parking, but got charged £5 for parking upon arrival. Good budget hotel, you pay for what you get really. Dated rooms, but clean enough. Hotel location is at a services, so no public transport etc, but good location if you have your own car. Easy check in and check out. "
