We love our stay at this hotel so much! For travellers like us, the hotel location is perfect, it’s about 100m walking from the train station and there are so many eateries and stores to shop and dine! For Muslim travellers, the location also has multiple Halal eateries nearby, including a kebab store right across the street. We can’t find fault in this hotel, honestly. Check in and check out were super quick and easy, staff was so helpful and friendly. Left luggage storage is available and the Wi-Fi is fantastic. The hotel has an elevator, which makes it extra perfect for families with kids and elderly, or travellers with large luggage. Our room is sweet and simple, we really enjoyed the beds and showers. There are also a mini fridge and mugs with the basic complimentary tea-coffee-sugar combo. Our TV is huge and we love it! The extra plug points are also super helpful for us to charge all our devices and power banks. The hotel is basically located on top of a restaurant and sports bar, but trust us, it’s really quiet at night! If you’re travelling to the airport from this hotel, you can take a bus from in front of NAB/Chemist Warehouse and switch to another bus just 10 mins later (use Google map for details); because this only cost us about $4 to get to the airport instead of the $21 train ride! What a deal, right?

We wanted somewhere that wouldn't break the bank, with a bathroom we didn't have to share, and this is what this is. We stayed in the room with a double bed and bunk beds. The double was comfortable, the bunks would probably be fine for children. For adults it's not so good. The upper mattress had a plastic/waterproof top. No parking at the hotel but we found some nearby. Although we were in the middle of Sydney, there wasn't a lot of noise keeping us awake. Spare blankets would have been nice to have in the room.

La habitación es muy agradable, pero no es muy fácil. Tras las renovaciones recientes, las habitaciones estaban limpias, muy bien mantenidas y tenían un “nuevo” sentimiento. Arrived late after being at a competition, we did inform the management of this situation though ! After a checking which took forever and with two tired little kids girls we drove in trying to look for a parking spot as well as our room . They are all dimly lit , near impossible to make our room numbers on the doors . The carpark was full and our spot was taken up by another patron who thought it was fair to take his own parking space as well as ours with his boat ! What spots that were still available we wouldn’t have gotten our car into . Went back up and pressed the intercom for help , to be told that’s not their responsibility they don’t guarantee you a spot ! I was tired and not happy with this response and made that very clear ! What kind of motel takes your money ( overpriced at that ) and doesn’t provide somewhere to park ! It’s not like this motel is conveniently situated with other parking options nearby ! Absolute joke . He then came out walking along the carpark pointing the dud spots he figured we should fit , being either one small enough for a motorcycle or one where they had double parked leaving a half parking spot 🙄 We were finally directed to one way down the end away from our room which had a overgrown garden and trees half over it . My daughter had no choice than to take it , with the manager sarcastically saying good parking . We were all tired and just wanted to shower and get the kids into bed . We then had to get the girls and our luggage out through the back hatch of the car as there was no accessing the doors on either the garden side or the other side which was super close to the next car ! The room was unclean and smelled of smoke 🤢 The bathroom was smelly ( it stunk like septic in there ) it wasn’t clean like it was last attended to by a cleaner when it was built in the 70’s . We all subsequently went without showers that night . Opened the wardrobe to hang a dress to find a cockroach running inside The twin beds were both sagged on the middle . Curtains were filthy and don’t slide to cover the windows , we had to hold them across either side of the window with a chair pinning them there . This motel was a total nightmare and rip off . Needs the health department to come have a good inspection. Would never ever stay there again or recommend it . Would be better off sleeping in the car than here ! As other reviewers have stated we also didn’t expect a 5 star motel but we were expecting a clean place and a parking spot outside our room and certainly no disgusting smell

Habitación muy limpia con una cama cómoda. El único inconveniente fue el ruido del tráfico interminable, pero a pesar de ello dormí bien. UUsuario invitadoI had high expectations of Capella Sydney after staying multiple times at Capella Bangkok and being treated as though I were the most important person in the hotel, just like all of the other guest who stay there are. The attention to service detail at Sydney location unfortunately failed very short to meet my expectations. The booking process on the website was glitchy and the pricing was inconsistent, sometimes showing pricing including tax sometimes not without indication and only upon receiving confirmation via email from reservations was the price confirmed, which did not match the screenshots of the reservation when I placed the booking so I had to go back and forth with reservations via phone and email to simply confirm the accurate pricing for my stay. After creating an account to log on to their booking platform although the option of modifying the booking was offered, the feature did not work on the site, so you had to cancel the booking and book a new booking if you simply wanted to extend by 1 day. This is before I even arrived at the hotel. When I did arrive, it is of course, no small feat that the restoration of this historic building was carried out with the utmost respect for the architecture, from the flooring material to the fenestration and even the internal grand stair way was brilliantly retro-fitted with current code requirements for the handrail in a historically appropriate yet contemporary solution. The hotel does not have many floors, so I encourage anyone to take the stairs to experience the beauty of the restoration work. The recognition of the strong identity of the urban location and sense of place in Sydney’s CBD offers us a promise, an encounter, as the space of the possible. I wish I could say the same about the interior design. There was a real disconnect between the intent of the architecture and that of the interior design. The decoration at best seemed vague, and so for the guest experience, how could one of have a point of view about the effect of the design? The space of the expectant “possible” relationship I was expecting from the simple activity of stepping into Farrer Place’s south entryway marked Department of Agriculture, as local stories interpreting colonial history with ancestral elements of the Eora people by Waayni artist Judy Watso unfolded, or the sense of expansive freedom through the bronze Palazzo doors on Loftus Street into the latent quiet luxury of the grand stair was lost when I was met with the contrasting designs and colours of the lift lobby vestibule axminster carpet and that of the corridor carpet to the guest rooms, able to be seen in the same frame. Although an argument can be made about eclecticism and the use of curating a collection of exceptional vintage and contemporary objects this was not the case here, it read as a mismatched bric-à-brac (to borrow a Victorian word from the building time period that's true meaning in French means ”any old way” or ”at random”). El hotel está a 5 minutos de oficinas, Centro de Macquarie y estaciones de tren. Absolutamente perfecto para mi viaje de trabajo. Había algunos positivos. Las habitaciones están bien, completamente lo que usted esperaba de un hotel de negocios. La cama estaba cómoda, había una TV que nunca usé, espacio para colocar el equipaje y colgar sus ropas, una mesa y una silla, etc. Pero se desciende de la colina. Enumero los negativos 1 por 1: 1. Un perro tenía un olor muy fuerte que vino de él. Huele como un mal BO. Letrealmente tuve que mover el perro en el cubo porque no podía resistir el olor. No obstante, esto significaba que podía oler este olor de amargo cada vez que llegué a la habitación y salía de ella. 2. 1 de las toallas de baño que se proporcionaban tenía un gran agujero/tear en ella. 3. El mantenimiento de la casa hizo un error y no proporcionaba champú, sino 2 condicionadores. Lo suficientemente fácil, llamé a la recepción y dijeron que debía bajar a la recepción para conseguirlo yo mismo. Bien, se desciende y se le dio 1 botella de champú. Me volví arriba a duchar sólo para ver que el champú dado estaba preabierto/pre-utilizado. Terrible. Después de la ducha, me volví a hablar con otro recepcionista que era disculpa y me dio 2 botellas de champú. 4. En mi segundo día, me di cuenta de que no había entrado la custodia, así que me bajé para hablar de nuevo a la recepción y se le dijo que debido a la COVID, sólo hacen la custodia después del tercer día de su estancia que lo hizo nullo y vacío para mí. 5. El centro de fitness era adecuado, pero no llenaron las toallas y no limpiaron las toallas usadas regularmente. El tercer día, el armario estaba lleno y mi toalla anterior estaba sentado en la misma posición que yo lo había dejado. Si se preocupaban tanto por el COVID, tendrían más limpieza regular de áreas públicas como el gimnasio y el salón donde un vaso y una taza vacíos se fijaron para 3 días enteros. UUsuario invitado4 night stay for Vivid. Chose this as an Accor member and that it was close to the Harbour. Upgraded to a Prestige Suite, Club benefits and was not disappointed. Yes the building is not new, it’s not like the shiny new hotels in town, but it’s solid and my sleeps were uninterrupted and rarely heard noise from the hall. My Suite 930 was spacious, clean, well appointed, Sofitel Bed topper and electric sockets to plug in my adapters to charge. Like other reviews no USB ports but I’m sure most sensible travellers have an adapter. The Club Sofitel access was the perfect addition. Early check-in and waited with a hot tea while my suite was made up. It was 9:30am but the room was rushed and 30 minutes later I was unpacking. Evening canapés and drinks from 5:30pm. Table drink service by Alley and her dedicated, personable, attentive team. They remember your preferences pretty quickly and it became an oasis from Vivid hoping and sightseeing. My suite completely blocked out the light and slept through 2 alarms, it’s the Sofitel Bed topper. Breakfast at Club Sofitel, peaceful, plenty of options to choose from, salmon and capers to a great gluten free station, eggs cooked to order and a great way to start the day. Try the Dilmah Blood Orange and Eucalyptus tea. Thanks Lara. Afternoon Tea served from 2:30 and daily sandwiches , scones, cakes and complimentary drinks, tea, coffee and soft. On entering the Club Lounge, always a friendly greeting, your preferred drink served and a relaxing space anytime of the day. The Club team really made my stay, they work really hard to make your stay great. Housekeeping always made up my room before my afternoon return. Always a Bonjour as you walked past them in the hall. My stay was great. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The Lobby is grand and the history of this hotel makes her great. Not the newest but I prefer tradition and good honest service. Definitely not the style of hotel for everyone but my expectations were met and exceeded beyond imagination. Club Sofitel is a must. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

BBobbaoboEste apartotel se llama Oaks Sydney Goldsbrough Suites, o el nombre chino es Sydney Golden Castle Oaks Suites Hotel. Debido a que es el feriado del Día Nacional de Australia, el precio es un poco más alto. En la zona central de la ciudad, es muy conveniente ir a cualquier lugar pintoresco. Puedes ir a cualquier lugar de Darling Harbour a pocos minutos a pie.
Al principio no tenía ninguna idea, pero me sorprendió después de entrar al hotel, excepto el equipo y las instalaciones de la casa, todo lo demás superó las expectativas, pero escuché de amigos que la mayoría de los apartahoteles en Australia son así, está bien. .

No creo que los hoteles sepan cómo cualquier vista puede hacer una gran diferencia para algunos huéspedes para disfrutar de su estancia. Peor y perturbador para mí, aunque fue el ruido humming constante y a veces una ligera vibración causada por las bobinas de ventilación fuera de mi ventana (una muy cerca y atacado a la pared exterior). La habitación está muy bien, pero no hay nada que pueda hacer. El hotel está muy bien situado, pero no se puede encontrar en el hotel. La habitación está muy bien, pero no es muy fácil de encontrar.

TTeyuI usually do not post reviews, but I had to this time to share my experiences.
I stayed for a total of 5 nights, Tue and check out on Sunday(7-12 Feb 2023)
Plus point
-Location is really good , plenty of thai/chinese restaurants and room is huge.
-Bed is comfortable,
-Yoshie is one that was one more friendly staff that I remembered her name , please give her a raise or wine on me.(she is a Japanese, in case i got her name wrong)
Hotel staff, is a on and off experience.
The night ones tend to be more ”cold” and the day ones are much better.( again, Yoshie was the ”better” ones, there are more, but I couldnt remember their name)
Now on to the exciting part...
Tuesday- Checkin day, A smooth day but without hand towels and when I asked for them before leaving the place for a concert.
( they claim they were in laundry or something and I find it hard to believe for a 5 star accommodation)
We were without a frying pan as well( they send it up though when i called for it)
Wed- Requested for toothbrush/Toiletries and had to request again after waiting for more than an hour, as it was forgotten ,I presumed
Thu- Requested to change towel when we went out in morning, nothing was done when we were back in evening.
I especially informed the morning reception guys to not forget it, but someone in the middle must have forgotten it.
Evening time, The staff upon informing said they will have it there in 10 mins, which they did.
By the way, the phone became faulty but I didn't bother to inform as I thought I wont have much trouble with it not in use.
I was wrong.
Friday- The express cleaning end-up with all the towels taken away and, thats it.
We found out when we were back in evening.
We were left with no towels and on top of that the phone was not working so I had to go downstairs to inform the reception/staff , on night shift i suppose.
Again they said would be there in 10 mins, which more or less they did.
Saturday- There was a huge cockroach and I had to kill it myself, informed the staff downstairs but honestly I dont expect change of room or anything, just to feedback.
From the above, you can see there were full of dramas and I think these are basic expectations.(especially the towel part)
Would I be back there if I ever go Sydney again?
Unlikely.

UUsuario invitadoA great place to stay near Light Rail, Chinatown, Central, and shopping. Our room was excellent, and we found the reception staff always welcoming and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay. It is an excellent hotel for location, for guests who may have difficulty walking up and down sloping streets, as it is in a comparably level area.

JJake.ColeiroGreat location based on my needs, travelling for work. Rooms were very spacious and clean and reception staff very friendly.
There is car parking also available at the property which was handy.
