It was absolutely amazing experience. We came from Japan & came to highland area to escape the city busyness. We are astonished about this hidden gem. As we came in we were welcomed with fantastic passion fruit juice. We came after dark & only requested simple white rice & fried vegetable but the chef and her staff made an amazing dinner with simple vegetable & rice. I realized how food prepared with heart can heal our soul. I was kept thinking if people in the world could eat this kind of food with real soul in it, could heal the whole world!! It is so amazing to be surrounded by beautiful trees &sounds of animals. I will definitely come back again. O

Amb Yaalu Un maestro de tipo Swan en Luxury con las mujeres En el hotel de Ambàa Yaalu, en el centro de la colección de temas, me preguntaba qué sería la experiencia y qué energía nueva podría traer el concepto. Lo que encontré fue excepcional: el servicio era del mismo nivel más alto que esperaba de este calibre de la cadena de hoteles, entregado con un estilo distintivo, sin error descrito como “swan-like.” 🦢 No hay duda de que las mujeres están trabajando ferociamente en la manera en que los pies de un swan se mueven bajo el agua para crear belleza sin esfuerzo. Y eso es exactamente lo que sientes aquí. Under the surface, everything is working with precision, speed, and strength. Pero lo que los huéspedes experimentan es algo completamente diferente: gracia. poise. calor. sonrisas que llegan con tal facilidad que se siente como todo el bien se desliza. La atmósfera es realmente bienvenida.No sólo me di cuenta del personal, sino que en la forma en que la bondad parece pasar por toda la experiencia de los huéspedes mujeres, hombres y niños sonriendo de una manera que es atractiva, natural y hermosamente insatisfactoria. Y síporque el lujo debería ser realmente pensabletodos mis bolsillos fueron llevados a mi habitación para mí. No hay basura. No levantamiento. Sólo cuidado insoportable, dignificado desde la llegada hacia adelante. Si buscas una estancia que pareja la hospitalidad de primera calidad con un espíritu raro y elegante, es Amba Yaalu. Es realmente inolvidable.

一開始辦理入住的那個前台小屋子讓人有點失落，不過實際入住的房間真的很驚喜，設計很有特色，室內很乾凈，空調電扇應有盡有，最主要是房間空間非常大，很適合帶孩子或者長者住，不會覺得壓抑。住的二樓，入住退房都有小哥幫忙抬行李，不過這也是斯里蘭卡酒店標配吧。總得來説是我們一家人喜歡的風格。也是這一趟斯里蘭卡之旅住的最舒服的一次。

Este hotel está en medio de la jungla y tiene un diseño espectacular, realmente hermoso. Sin embargo, no lo recomendaría para viajeros solos; está más enfocado en parejas y familias. Por ejemplo, me hubiese encantado cenar en un restaurante tranquilo, acorde al entorno natural y relajado, pero la realidad fue muy distinta: el restaurante era un buffet lleno de gente, con música muy fuerte y mucho ruido ambiente, nada de calma. Durante el día todo era muy sereno, pero en la noche el ambiente cambiaba completamente. Había una terraza que estaba muy linda, pero el menú era muy limitado y el personal no hablaba bien inglés. Tampoco tenían un menú con fotos, así que me costó pedir comida. En cuanto a la habitación, la vista era espectacular, el baño y el servicio, realmente extraordinarios. Todo muy cuidado y estéticamente precioso. Lo único que criticaría es el servicio en el restaurante y la falta de un espacio tranquilo para cenar o relajarse por la noche. No tomé desayuno ni cené en ninguno de los dos días justamente por eso.

Elephas Resort was chosen because of its serenity and space, a mid way break during our trip, we wanted some quiet space to chill and we did by the pool, alomg the paddy fields, in our rooms and walking around the lake our room faced. we rode a TukTuk and the lake view room we had was spacious and definitely worth journey in to the resort, clean and bright, toilets are well equipped and staff are friendly and welcoming, giving us advise on where to go eat and what to see around Sigiriya. it's a very quiet resort and i would recommend room 223, upper level, it's a special place for our 2 nights there and we already miss the beautiful, quiet settings Elephas delivered.

The hotel is nice, spacious beautiful room at check in we were treated to a refreshing juice. There is a big pool on the grounds and a big jacuzzi with hot water in the room.  Minuses of the hotel: Far from the attractions. Taxi from the center only go there for the price of pick me x2. Hotel taxi are 3 times more expensive. There are no stores and restaurants near the hotel, so inside the hotel prices for food x3, Also after 6pm it is dangerous to be outside because elephants are walking around. Now let's talk about the premium status and the five races. In 7 years of traveling, this is the first hotel that did not have a bathrobe, slippers and toothbrush and toothpaste in the room. The plumbing in the shower leaks, and the doors creak so much that you could call the spirits at night. Regarding the attention to the customer. I mentioned my upcoming birthday in conversation with the manager, but this fact was not used in any way to show any form of attention from the hotel. This is a huge miscalculation on the part of the staff at a premium hotel. We also had a late departure and our request to delay in the hotel for a couple of hours was refused. This was not due to the arrival of new customers, as the manager offered to extend our stay for a fee. For future customers this fact may be decisive in their choice. In general, the hotel is not bad, but the service and flexibility of the staff, as well as individual approach to customers, does not correspond to the premium level and requires improvement.

Abbiamo pernottato qui due notti per poter godere delle due attrazioni principali della zona. I ragazzi sono molto disponibili ed il responsabile è un giovane simpatico che ci sa fare! La posizione è molto tranquilla anche se non molto lontano dai locali. Camera buona e anche la colazione servita all'ultimo sulla terrazza che guarda sulla rocca. Di notte la strada sterrata è completamente buia e vi sconsiglio di andarci a piedi meglio se con una macchina o un tuktuk.

This is a nice hotel in a great location in terms of seeing the key sights in the area we wanted to visit (walking distance to Sigiriya and Pidurangala rocks, and a short tuk tuk ride to a night loris walk). It is on a main road so there is a bit of noise from that if you have a room at the front of the hotel like we did - especially some loud music playing early in the morning. I recommend asking for a room as far away from the road as available. The room was more basic than I expected for the price but importantly it was big and clean. I think you are paying the price for a proper hotel in this location. The hotel pool is big and very clean, it is perfect for a dip to cool down - and very scenic, surrounded by lovely trees. We were a bit disappointed with the hotel restaurant menu which has nearly no vegetarian options on it, and similarly the breakfast buffet wasn’t worth it for us to purchase, but there are lots of other restaurants walking distance from the hotel to go to. The staff were helpful especially in putting us in touch with the loris night tour.

Kalundewa Retreat has an amazing concept and a beautiful, secluded location that really stands out. The surroundings are peaceful and unique, making it a lovely place to disconnect. That said, there are visible signs of wear and tear in certain areas, and some aspects of property maintenance could be improved. However, what truly made up for this was the hotel team — their service was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The food was excellent and clearly prepared with care, which added greatly to the overall experience. With better upkeep, this place has the potential to be exceptional.

Firstly, as a solo traveller the prices are quite steep per room per night!! But hence everything else is far after visiting the Lion try I gave it a try. The place is beutiful but seemed the cleaning staff doesn’t refill bathroom soaps, towels and tissue quite often. Everyone including myself kept on asking the receptionist guy for stuff. My plug sockets didn’t work, I slept thinking my power bank and phone would be fully charged by the morning. The people are polite. Lots of noise at night and turns out it’s elephant 🐘 noise and dogs barking. So I missed a 2 good hours of sleep. They do try to fix the problems when you tell them about them.
