Svinøya Rorbuer

Good lodge to stay in Lofoten that almost every local tour can pick you up here and more chance to see the Northern light when you about to go to bed. But I want to put the five stars to the Børsen Spiseri because the staff members help us check in and connected the Northern light tour guide (We booked the package including lodge and Northern light tour that there is no directly connecting method to the guide for us). I really appreciate them to help us during their busy work.

Fantastic Rorbuer. We booked a real house with 2 rooms and all facilities. As it is in the other side of the bridge, market is a 20 minutes walk so is better take your food with you as there is only the Rorbuer restaurant that cost an average of Euro 40 a dish. You can walk on the island for a while to go to the statue Fiskerkona que protege os pescadores e fica na ponta da ilha. The buildings are pretty and the nature from there superb. You have to walk to the port in central city as there is no public bus there so if you can is better to have a car. The reception close at 16:00 in winter but you can pick up your house or cabin keys in the mail box at the entrance. Staff is helpful and kind. Great place to stay a couple of days.

The cabin that we stayed in was very cozy, spacious and tranquil. There was a coffee maker, dish washer, some cutlery and cookware to prepare simple meals. The staff is friendly and helpful. We want to do a special shoutout to Maris (apologies if we did not spell it right) for helping us to settle our Northern Light tour quickly when he saw us lost and confused when our tour provider did not show. He was patient and made sure all was well before we left. The town centre can also be reached within a 15-20mins’ walk from our accommodation. One thing to take note is that there is no public transport from Svolvær Airport to the accommodation, so you have to either get your own rental vehicle or arrange for a taxi with the accommodation beforehand! Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay here and would highly recommend it for your trip to Lofoten.

Beautiful accomodation with stunning views of the water and mountains. Also a great place for watching the Northern Lights!! Cabins were warm and cozy. We loved our stay here, just wish it was longer!!

Fabulous location, but still a little walk in to the centre of Svolvær. Friendly staff and a reasonable price if you are looking to use all 4 bedrooms in the Rorbu. Otherwise it will come across as expensive. Would need some minor renovation soon, but that did not put a stopper to us enjoying this. Have therefore been visiting these 3 years in a row, and aim to go again in 2024.
