En las colinas de Hakone, en un pueblo tranquilo a lo largo del parque Yugawara, encontramos esta pequeña villa rodeada de verde y el sonido de un río cercano. Pero lo que quedó conmigo no era el villait que era nosotros. Los niños corren directamente al cubierta, llegando a atrapar los petales de la cerámica que caen en el agua, discutiendo sobre quién se atrapó más antes de que pasaran por los dedos. Alguien dejó la puerta abierta, dejando el aire fresco fluir. A la noche, todos nos reunimos arriba, hablando, escuchando a la mitad el ritmo constante del río abajo. Nadie llegó a sus teléfonos. La noche más tarde, nos acostamos con las ventanas abiertas. Es extraño, pero momentos como esto no. El silencio, la risa, el sentimiento de no tener nada más para ser. Eso es lo que recuerdo. 

Chose this place for the private onsen and highly reviewed meals. Meals are served in the central restaurant, will need to book meal timing for both breakfast and dinner as they serve over two rounds. Chose kaiseki dinner which felt like fine dining too. The rooms are modern, with the private onsen on rustic balcony facing the forest. The hot onsen water runs continuously into the pool, which made me think it’s really from the mountains. Do note the hotel is on the middle of a hill, so if driving, be prepared to drive along small windy roads to reach. When leaving, the hotel staff will even help to look out for oncoming cars and direct you to safely drive out of the hotel property onto the main road.

He tenido el placer de alojarme en varios hoteles de alta categoría, incluido el Hakone Gora Byakudan. Sin duda, el Byakudan supera a sus competidores en todos los aspectos. La cena y el desayuno japoneses fueron más que deliciosos, con una gran variedad de opciones. Los aperitivos y el bar de vinos fueron igualmente impresionantes. Disfruté especialmente de la silla de masajes y la deliciosa selección de helados. Recomiendo de todo corazón el Hakone Gora Byakudan a cualquiera que visite la zona.

Stayed here as family with 2 children. 1 room in mountain view. Con: No gym, no convenience store, no business center, about 15 mins walk to Gora station (hilly), no vending machine, no kids playground, Pro: Clean, there is shuttle bus available up to 7.30 Prolly ok to stay for 2 nights but more than that just plain boring and boring. Breakfast is not that fantastic as you pay 25£/person, but it was ok but i will skip it as an advice. There is Onsen, but didnt try as i dont really fancy bath with bunch of strangers. Some staff are helpful but most junior female staffs need more training. Overall we wont come back or recommend. We booked mountain view but overlooking the staff housing so quite disappointing Hope your business successful. Thank you

As a Korean family living in the United States, we stayed here as a family of four with our two young children (40 months and 21 months old), and overall, we had a truly memorable experience. We booked through Trip.com, and because there were no clearly stated child occupancy policies during booking, we reserved the room as 3 adults. This later created some confusion during check-in, which I will mention below, but aside from that, nearly everything about this hotel was exceptional. First, the positives: The breakfast was outstanding—worthy of its Michelin Guide 2025 recognition. Every meal was beautifully prepared, thoughtful, and delicious. We chose a traditional Japanese-style room with tatami flooring, and for our family with young children, it was perfect. Being able to remove our shoes and comfortably live on the floor felt especially natural and relaxing as Asians, and parents with little children will understand how convenient and comfortable this setup is. The location is also excellent—within walking distance from Gora Station, where the mountain railway arrives. Even with two small children, the walk was very manageable. The onsen experience was wonderful, and the guest lounge available from morning until 10 PM was another highlight that made the stay feel luxurious and comfortable. The dining area itself deserves special praise. Enjoying breakfast and dinner while overlooking the beautiful inner garden pond was peaceful and elegant, and the restaurant service team was abundant, attentive, warm, and professional. It truly felt like top-class hospitality. Now, one disappointment: During check-in, one female staff member wearing a headscarf made several comments that felt unnecessarily cold and transactional. Because we booked as 3 adults, she repeatedly explained that our children could be accommodated because of that booking choice—as if we were receiving an exception—despite there being no clearly stated child policy during reservation. She also explained that only 3 adult yukata/lounge outfits had been prepared in the room because we booked for 3 adults, and said we could request children's clothing “if needed.” When I asked when we should request them, she simply repeated that we could ask when necessary. At that point, a more thoughtful hospitality approach would have been something simple like: “I see you have two young children—would you like us to prepare children’s outfits now?” That small difference would have reflected genuine care. At check-out, I again observed behavior that felt uncomfortable. A trainee staff member was assisting us, and when the trainee forgot to request identification, the same staff member visibly frowned and corrected the trainee in front of us. It felt unnecessarily tense and unprofessional in front of guests. What stood out was that every other staff member we encountered was warm, polite, smiling, and genuinely welcoming. They bowed, greeted us kindly, and made us feel respected. Only this one staff member felt noticeably different—cold enough that we were left wondering whether it was discomfort toward children, cultural bias, or simply a personal attitude issue. I travel frequently internationally for business in a senior executive role, and this was the first time I experienced service that felt this distinctly uncomfortable from a luxury hospitality employee. That said, I want to emphasize: everyone else at the hotel was wonderful, and the property itself is beautiful, peaceful, elegant, and family-friendly. We would gladly return—but I hope the warmth shown by the rest of the team becomes the standard reflected consistently by every member of staff.

Hoteles perfectos. El entorno es elegante, el cuarto es grande y cómodo, el cuarto de cama, el baño y el aire libre están en la misma zona, muy personalizado, el servicio de lavandería está completo, además de rosas, considerando cuidadosamente. La cena de la roca es perfecta. Cada plato se hace con el corazón de los alimentos de la temporada, es sabrosa y hermosa, y el desayuno es también muy bueno, lo aplaudo a los chefs. El servicio del personal del hotel es muy atento, especialmente gracias a KAWASE, la misma amable familia, que nos pasamos dos días especialmente hermosos.

優點：露台非常出片！整體敞亮 第一次來箱根可以早上看到很美的日出 房間拍出來很漂亮 設施設備比較新 亮點是大堂的cafe 特別多的咖啡 茶 飲料 酒可以無限免費喝 果汁非常好喝 燕麥奶也是有機的 不像其他酒店冰箱裏麪只有幾瓶寥寥無幾的飲料 缺點：1. 泡池真的不夠乾淨啊 很多地方都發黃或者發黴沒有清洗乾淨 2. 温泉也不是恆温 自己加水很麻煩 3.另外房間其實比較侷促 沒有看起來那麼大 馬桶間非常小 4. 床和床品真不舒服 枕頭很小 被子也有點短… 5 酒店隔斷都是用的石材 非常硬 加上房間格局本來不大 我朋友把手都磕到擦破皮 5. 吃的真的不好吃…太日本 很多東西很死板 8:30必須吃早飯 服務員不管你是不是在睡覺直接進屋把燈都打開 睡回籠覺的時候還反覆敲門要確認你一天所有行程時間：出門時間 用shuttle時間 你不能確認就反覆反覆問….

Un viaje de negocios a Tokio me llevó a hacer una reserva de última hora en Hakone para disfrutar de sus aguas termales, ¡y la belleza superó todas mis expectativas! Para mi sorpresa, el hotel estaba celebrando (o destacando) sus 360 años de historia, y cada rincón revelaba rastros de su pasado, ¡algo fascinante! El personal es muy amable; tanto el señor que nos ayudó con el check-in como la joven de Taiwán nos hicieron sentir realmente bienvenidos y como en casa. La comida era exquisita y deliciosa, ¡y las porciones muy generosas! ¡Ojalá pueda volver algún día! 🫶🏻
