Great location just under 10-minute drive away from the Volcanoes Park North entrance. We arrived very late and the owner kept the restaurant open to make us some dinner. The breakfast was very tasty with several local specialties like meat buns, yoghurt pancakes, and their own free-range chicken eggs. It all appealed even to our Westerner taste buds! Our favorite breakfast of the trip! The property is not large, but it is very tidy and clean with a courtyard, lawn, paved walkways and lounging areas. The room was exceptionally clean as well - clean floors, clean bathroom and clean white sheets (which is not always a guarantee...). We had a spacious 2-storey loft which our kids enjoyed. Of note - the stairs are very steep to the loft. The beds were quite hard (something we have already come to expect in China), so we used one of the comforters as extra padding. While it was nearly +25 degrees outside, the air conditioning worked great. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and definitely recommend!

Overall, this was a very mixed experience. There were so many things I genuinely loved about this place, but unfortunately one major issue completely changed our stay. The hotel is a family-run property in the middle of the grasslands, and from the moment we arrived we were welcomed with genuine warmth and hospitality. The owners were incredibly kind, making us feel at home right away. My son even spent time playing with the owner's child, sharing toys and feeding the goats on their small farm. It was a lovely, authentic experience that made our stay feel very personal. The accommodation itself is made up of traditional yurt-style tents, which are charming and full of character. Our tent had a comfortable double bed for my wife and me, plus a single bed for our son. The bed was comfortable, the view was beautiful, and one feature we especially enjoyed was the skylight in the roof. It can be opened and closed with a remote control, allowing you to look up at the stars at night, which creates a truly magical atmosphere. The tent was also equipped with air conditioning and heating, making it comfortable in different weather conditions. The bathroom was relatively new, although it had a few minor plumbing issues, but nothing that significantly affected our stay. The owners also recommended a nearby horse ranch just next to the hotel, where we enjoyed a wonderful horseback riding experience. Since we went in the evening after the busiest hours, we paid only 80 RMB for two horses for our family of three for a 30-minute ride, accompanied by friendly local guides. It was a fantastic experience and one of the highlights of our trip. Another outstanding feature is the restaurant next to the hotel. The food was simply exceptional. We had grilled goat ribs that were honestly the best I've ever eaten. Everything tasted fresh, authentic, and perfectly cooked. The service was fast, the atmosphere was relaxed, and it was a wonderful place to enjoy dinner with my family after a day exploring the grasslands. Unfortunately, the biggest issue with this hotel has nothing to do with the hotel itself—it is the evening entertainment throughout the surrounding area. Every night there are outdoor shows with bonfires, performances, and group activities, which are enjoyable and create a lively atmosphere. Fireworks and other entertainment are also fun for families and children. However, once the shows end, the music becomes unbearably loud. It is so loud that many guests were covering their ears, and even children were uncomfortable standing nearby. The hotel's own entertainment ended around 10:00 p.m., which would have been acceptable. The real problem was that several neighboring hotels continued blasting extremely loud music until around 11:00 p.m. or later. Because these beautiful yurt tents provide very little sound insulation, the noise travels directly inside the rooms. At one point I had to call Ctrip customer service, and the music outside was so loud that we couldn't even hear each other while I was inside the tent. I actually had to move into the bathroom just to have a conversation. After driving more than 500 kilometers that day, we had chosen this destination to relax, enjoy nature, and experience the peace and quiet of the grasslands. Instead, it felt like being next to an outdoor nightclub. We had originally planned to stay for two nights, possibly even three, but after the first night we decided to cancel the remaining night and move to a hotel closer to the city simply so we could get some proper rest. It was disappointing because everything else about this place had exceeded our expectations. I don't believe this is entirely the responsibility of this hotel's owners. They were wonderful hosts, and everything they personally managed was excellent. However, I do think there needs to be better coordination among all the nearby hotels. We went there to stargaze but that didn't work out cuz the sky was cloudy, and filled with smoke from all the fireworks we and everyone else were launching. I thought I would be disappointed not being able to see the stars and milky way on a new moon but my kids and I had a blast launching celebration balls and other colorful fireworks, and dancing with the locals around a bonfire. Super festive place! And, there's horse-riding nearby. If you do come here for stargazing, the hotels in this area make it too bright for stargazing unless you have a car to drive further to deserted and unlit places.

La primera vez que comí todo el desayuno que hizo el propio jefe en el pueblo, la panadería es muy deliciosa para mi bolsa, el salchicha también es mío para mí, el queso también es fresco! Y el sabor es bueno! También pregunté al jefe, y el jefe dijo que incluso en el otoño también estaban haciendo el desayuno. El conjunto también es muy limpio, la decoración también es muy cómoda, no hay insectos, la cama también es cómoda. Está muy cerca del centro de servicio turístico norte. No fue otoño cuando iba. 非常完美的民宿！堪比呼倫貝爾草原的禾木。 地理位置和交通：火山之行南進北出不走回頭路，出了北門自駕十分鐘左右到民宿，正是夕陽西下最美的時分，我夢中的草原和木屋正是這個樣子的。 設施：非常齊全，孩子可以玩鞦韆、跟小羊互動，大人在屋裡屋外都有可以發呆的地方，後山可以撿瑪瑙，牛馬就在山上悠哉悠哉地吃草。 住宿：温暖乾淨，空調衞浴一應俱全，本來以為山裡不方便，結果比我在輝騰錫勒住的要好多了。 吃飯：餐廳的烤羊排非常好吃，價格實惠，分量很足，我們五個人五個個菜吃不完得打包。 娛樂：晚上篝火晚會的主持人真的可以上央視春晚了，高大帥氣幽默，還有火技絕活，孩子和長者都玩的很開心^_^

El hotel está muy bien situado en el centro de la ciudad, y el hotel está muy bien situado en el centro de la ciudad. La habitación era muy buena, pero aún huele un poco. El desayuno es todos los alimentos chinos y gustan bien, pero tienen buenos tés y pasteles de leche mongolés como parte mejor de ellos. La experiencia fue buena, pero podría ser mejor si la habitación huele mejor.

The staff is very kind and professional, the hotel is fancy, clean, beautiful. My problem was the extremely high temperature in my room. I couldn't adjust it at all, I was sweating all night. I don't know why some hotels in Inner Mongolia (I never experienced this in Yunnan, Sichuan and Shaanxi) turn on the heater so much. The other disturbing thing was the lights that automatically turn on as soon as I set a foot on the floor. I see no need of such things, they just keep me awake. If I need some light, I can turn it on myself. The town seemed to be pretty dead, only one shop was open at 7 pm. It wasn't so far away, so it's all right. Anyway, it's a hotel that accepts foreigners without problems, so I'm glad I stayed here.

The room was average in cleaniness. There was a big hole on the wall near the toilet. There was only one restaurant near the hotel and no where else to eat. As a result, the restaurant charges very high prices for mediocre food. There was also no convenience shops nearby.

We stayed in this hotel for one night so that we can enjoy the Hui Teng Xi Le Grassland thoroughly. The hotel manager was super friendly and helpful, giving us tips about sunset watching location, things to do, good price and etc. Room was basic, but probably one of the better ones in the area, have hot water for showering and convenient enough. All in all, it is worth the money considering the location.

Booked in here by mistake 😂 (i took a train to Shangdu, which is not the same place as Xanadu!! (Its about 4 hours away)… the hotel is gorgeous though; huge, modern rooms and a great breakfast too. Watched a midnight storm through the huge floor to ceiling windows. One of those high end gems you find in China because they have the money to build places such as this. I probably wont come back to Shangdu again (although it does break up the train journey from Hohhot to the real Xanadu) but if i do, its an obvious, top grade option. Lovely staff too, who helped me with my train bookings.
