UUsuario invitadoOverall, it's clean and well-maintained. When I visited last February, there was an employee smoking in the first-floor lobby, which was quite unpleasant. Previously, the smoking ban was strictly enforced, which was refreshing. However, there was one disappointing aspect. While the restaurant offers toast, butter, and jam, there was no butter knife to spread the jam or butter on the toast, so I couldn't spread it on my toast. It was quite strange. I hope this is fixed.

Excellent location. There is a large shopping mall nearby, plenty of places with delicious food, and a good massage/spa salon.
The front desk staff are very friendly and professional. The hotel's interior is very interesting, with many cute details. The staff really tried their best to accommodate my special requests during the booking process.
The only thing was that there was still a slight smell of tobacco in the room. There is no smoking ban in the rooms, so this is not a complaint, just a fact.
I had a very pleasant stay and recommend this property.

DDianeIngridThis is not the room but my kids refused to let me into theirs so......The room I booked faced the afternoon sun so it can be abit hot. Didn't affect us since we were out the whole day. Room was clean, but there was a slight musty smell. Might be from the tub. Can't beat the location. Right across the street is the water market and everything else is walkable. You do have a hmmmm....moment when you arrive because the hotel is housed in a commercial building with restaurants etc downstairs. Check in counter was also really small. But they were very friendly and rooms were clean. Good for a couple of nights.

MMarsha MarshaI had a great time in Yánjí since I planned a lot of border excursions. I can speak both Korean and Chinese comfortably to navigate this region, which is also known as the Third Korea. The location of this place was great since it was in the city center across from Yanji University. (I was assigned room 1206.)
I'm not sure which photos they're using for advertising, but my room looked far more beat up and outdated. I also killed a lot of small cockroaches that were roaming around the kitchenette area. Again, this was not a big deal for me since they weren't ginormous, but one huge cockroach did appear one day near the bathroom. It's one thing for the room to look somewhat different from the advertised photos, but please at least keep the space much cleaner. (The laundry machine was bonus, but I had to buy laundry soap next door at the convenience store. This should have been provided considering there was an empty soap box on the floor next to the machine.) The reason why I booked this place was to do frequent laundry rather than stay at a hotel...
I traveled from NYC, so it wasn't like I was an average Chinese tourist from a domestic region. This was my first visit to China since 1996.05 and I used my 10-year China visa for the first time since I applied back in 2017.08.
Note: I checked out the other rooms on the floor and they were much nicer than what I booked. I'm guessing those were listed on WeChat and the less attractive rooms are listed on here, etc.
After I checked out by 12:00 noon, I stored my luggage next door at the convenience store for a few hours. They charged CN¥5/per hour… I paid CN¥15 since I knew 3 hours was all I needed before my flight.
