Las condiciones de alojamiento son muy buenas , la ubicación está cerca, hay tiendas de conveniencia al lado del centro de la ciudad, y luego hay un buen jefe de todo el año, Wi-Fi también puede, y luego comer y beber es muy bueno, el jefe también es muy bueno, todo puede afrontarlo muy limpio! 

La casa de huéspedes está en un rincón tranquilo, donde se puede sentir la personalidad de sus actuales propietarios y de los que vivían antes. Desde el momento en que llegué, me sentí como si estuviera en una casa: hay una cocina compartida, lavandería y habitaciones, mucho parking y, más importante, un bar de snack con una máquina de suministro de agua. Phoebe y Jacob fueron arriba y más allá: a pesar de tener vidas ocupadas para asegurar mi viaje, organizaron el transporte, conversaron fácilmente en inglés, y me sentí como un huésped valioso. El servicio fue excelente; el tío y la tía fueron muy amables y hospitalarios. El lugar estaba limpio y ordenado. Aunque la habitación no era grande, era pequeña pero estaba perfectamente equipada. El único inconveniente, o quizás una ventaja, era la falta de transporte. La casa de huéspedes está ubicada junto a una carretera principal, y a menudo se oyen motocicletas pasar a toda velocidad.

What I liked: the location is very convenient if you’re coming to Kinmen from Xiamen. The homestay is walking distance from Shuitou Port (about 15 minutes). The owner is a very friendly and helpful person. He helped me rent an electric motorcycle and responded very fast to all of my text messages. The homestay is clean (the cleaning lady is very kind, too! ^^). There’s a lot of storage space as well as lockers. The shampoo and body wash in the bathroom were also really nice. What could be improved: the bunk beds consists of a wooden plank and bedding, so it was quite hard and a bit uncomfortable. However, I still managed to sleep well and there’s enough privacy. There are no locks in the homestay. Basically anyone from outside can access the public areas and the room with the bunk beds, which can be scary for some solo travelers. However, the homestay has security cameras and Kinmen is very safe in general, so I was never really worried. The door of the room is quite heavy and makes a lot of noise, so this is something to be mindful of when it’s late and you’re sharing the room with other guests. All in all, I had a great experience and would stay here again. I’m really happy to have had the opportunity to stay at a traditional house for such an affordable price.

The homestay is a short walk from the bus stop (for buses No Red 1 and No 2 from the main Kinmen town of Jincheng) and a 7-11 convenience store. The traditional Fujian building is beautiful and an attraction in itself, with an atmospheric courtyard where guests could chill with coffee and/or a meal. But it has been newly renovated with modern amenities, and the place is very clean and well kept. The host was warm and really very helpful. When he heard that we wanted to walk up Mt Taiwu, he drove us to the start of the walking trail. He also gave us a contact for a taxi driver in case we needed a ride back. And when he learnt that we were tracing our ancestors, he brought us to meet an elder who might have a family register. Really thankful to have met a host like him.

Soundproof not very well, was weakened by others guests talking outsides. 2. Shampoo, shower gel and toliet tissue quality not good. 3. The shower holder can’t change direction that you have to hold it one hand all the time during shower. And not dry/wet separation in the bathroom.

Cleanliness & facilities: Guests generally mention that the rooms are clean and comfortable, with free Wi-Fi and basic amenities like air-conditioning, a fridge, and reliable water. It’s not a luxury place — think simple yet functional.  One recommended feature is that it offers free airport transfer (with prior notice), which is handy if you’re flying into Kinmen.  Service & atmosphere: Reviews note that the host was welcoming and helpful, especially if you’re a solo traveler. Multiple guests talked about a smooth check-in and staff who were happy to share tips about the island or help with directions.  It’s described as a nice youth hostel vibe, with shared spaces and a relaxed feel — good for meeting other travelers if you’re not in a hurry to disappear into your room.  Food & convenience: A couple of guests pointed out that there isn’t much in the way of on-site dining or restaurants right next door, so you might have to plan where your meals are if you’re not riding around or exploring on foot.
